I was looking to set up a trust fund for my grandchildren. Thinks were going satisfactorily until Mr. Astre asked if I had served in the military. I am a proud vet, and said I had served-in Berlin, Germany, with USMLM. Astre said he had as well, as an infantryman. Well, all things stopped when he went on to rail against the east Germans. No disagreements there, but then the guy would not stop. All my reasons for making an appointment, my valuable time, etc. were out the window. Fine, I wished I'd served stateside (ended up as part of VMAC-SOG in 'Nam two years later), but I didn't. This guy could not get off the German/commie thing though. I was a bit taken aback with this, but then Astre starts going off the deep end, comparing today's Democrat party with the hard-line Communists of the 50s and 60s. I am not a Dem, but I certainly respect the fact we have a viable two-party system, and have lots of Democrat friends who are proud veterans and patriots. He was so far off base with his comments, but I decided to listen. Well, 20 minutes later, he's still off on a rant. I packed up my stuff. Told him I had never heard such a bunch of mis-informed lunacy from someone with half an education. I realized that if he was so crazy with this information he spouted, and his lack of professionalism that I could not rely on his financial advice, nor trust my grandkid's future to this person. Needless to say, I kept looking, found another CFP locally. And I never knew the guy's political orientation, nor did I care, as my grandchildren and their financial assistance was the only subject. As it should be!

Would give zero stars if possible. Went to have my 2014 taxes done by him. At the time I was 19…read moreyears old and only had a paycheck to file no property or anything like that so a simple tax return. The accountant Pat did my return and said I was getting $800 back. As a 19 year old with little responsibilities I was excited. Then a year later I get a letter from the IRS saying that I owed them $537 because what they had on file and what my accountant filed was different. I went to my local IRS office and found out that my Pat forgot to file 1 of my W-2s. I went to Pat and had him amend it and he said I only owed $49. Great so I pay the $49 and move on. Then I get another letter from them saying I still owe $537. I go down to the office and find out he messed up the amendment as well and they took the money out of my next tax refund. Then today (1/25/18) I get a letter from the state saying that I know owe them $275 because Pat messed up and I can't fight this because they're right. So if you took the time to read this then you should know not to go to this place. They'll only screw you like I got screwed out of about $900. Stay away from this place! I've been doing my own taxes on Credit Karma since then and have had no issues.

HE CAN NO LONGER DEAL WITH A HEAVY WORK LOAD. I am so upset i don't even know where to begin. We hired this company back in 2017. They were on point and helpful in the beginning with filing our taxes and giving good advice. But fast forward to 2021 and 2022. He filed our taxes extremely late and missed tax deadlines for both years, causing us to get hit with major fines for late filings. He was fully aware of us purchasing an investment property and needed additional loans to complete the project. We informed him that our tax returns needed to be completed for the year 2022 in order to get qualified for the loan. It's bad enough he waited all the way until August to be ready to file our taxes, he requested our information in August.. We sent the information to him to file in August 2023, and he filed extension in October of 2023, and still missed both extensions. 1 for our personal tax returns, and 2 for business tax returns. In OCTOBER OF 2023, We applied more pressure, explaining to him if our taxes are not filed, we will have to hire another accountant. He basically f**KED us by filing a ZERO tax return on both our personal and business tax returns, he E-filed the returns at that, (SMH). At this time we were unaware what happened, and didn't know how hard it would be to E-file our taxes, after the filing of the zero tax returns. Until he told us to Hire another account. So we did just that, We hired a highly professional accounting firm. Who helped with all of our needs in 3 days. As our new accountant goes to file our taxes. Our tax returns for both business and personal tax returns were returned from the IRS. Stating that the taxes were already E-filed. THIS WAS A BIG PROBLEM FOR US, Because the bank needed our filed returns with all the numbers and income that we received. The bank actually pulls IRS Tax transcripts to verify the tax returns and income. Now we have to wait 4 to 6 months for the 1040x amendment tax returns to be updated by the IRS ON the tax transcripts, PREVENTING us from not being able to secure the loan needed to COMPLETE our investment home project. (SMH.) We begged this man everyday since August to please file our tax returns. He never did. I had to contact my bank recently to reverse a payment I made to him in August due to services never rendered. I think Bruce needs to hang it up and retire. leave the accounting and tax game to the young people. It's time to travel with your wife and sip Margaritas on a beach somewhere. This game is no longer yours my friend. It pains me to have to make a comment like this online. But you have causes us pain and disappointment. and i want you to know it was me. hopefully this will be a lesson learned and for others to be aware of you. But on a humble note thank you for the services you did provide over the years for us. But these last 2 years I'm sorry to say that the experience we had has not been a pleasant one. Riders Beware! My…read more10 yr old daughter was taking riding lessons here for almost 6 months until her trainer decided to move on from this barn to further her career on a different path. Another trainer who was not training my daughter originally but, who is a trainer & manager of the IEA team @ IHS was very unprofessional towards us. She claims she over sees everything; teaches 40 kids and gives 80 lessons a week there. We were going to weekly lessons there for almost 6 months but, on tues 8/15/23 no scheduled trainer in the book to teach my daughter. This trainer who runs things over there-"so she says"..did not approach, call or contact us to even apologize to explain the mishap and she was at the barn that day too. Another trainer nearby who happen to over hear the lack of professionalism going on offered to step in and help train her. My daughter got a 15 minute lesson instead of her 30 minute lesson that we usually get which we were charged $65.00 for that day. NM was not in the indoor arena for my daughters entire lesson which I can show/prove on video. NM walked into the arena the last 3 minutes of the lesson. My daughter was very upset during and after the lesson. We were very disappointed & dissatisfied with how we were treated and called liars that day since we've been a customer/rider for almost 6 months now. I called the barn manager- left message and got no response. So I called again and I finally got in touch with the barn manager. I explained the entire situation in detail and asked for a make up lesson. Instead of showing good customer service & compassion towards what happened I got told the financial difficulties going on within the barn. I also was advised that NM is "not a manager" there she is just a "trainer" that teaches lessons for the IEA team only. The Barn manager told me I would get a call back after talking to NM but, I never did! Instead once again I was shown unprofessionalism & unaccountability text messages from trainer NM. I knew then we would stop going to this barn for anything & everything but, my daughter had 2 lessons remaining on her package that I knew they would definitely not refund us for. I had enough of being mistreated by this place and watching my daughter get upset over this incident. I asked again on 9/4/23 for a make up lesson for that day and was denied it again. Then on 9/11/23 I explained to a another staff trainer very nicely why we would not be returning for lessons anymore. NM sends me another rude & arrogant text msg implying we are liars and we were not wanted as riders there! Smh-This was of course after I resigned my daughters lessons from IHS to a different trainer. People please be aware of this place and this inexperienced & immature horse trainer NM. She shows no good qualities of customer service & professionalism! I hope she treats the horses better then she treats her students & parents. Will be filing complaints against IHS with the BBB & Business Consumer Alliance Association. Giddy up riders....Beware and don't go here!
