She got lost in transit. I was told by said business, that USPS is the only carrier that will accept remains. Not only did they not do as requested, they didn't bother to call once I informed them she was lost. We are in Texas. She lost her life in Colorado under suspicious circumstances. So, on top of all the grief of losing a 43 year old young woman in a violent manner, they couldn't even let us have a peaceful homecoming. It wasn't in our case! We spoke to Vanessa on a Sat. and left with an understanding that we would be able to have our grandmothers service the following week. When the family went back to complete the arrangements, they were told that due to a higher paying client, they had no availability until the following week. Which was not our understanding. As if that was not enough, the day the information was given and our decision to go to another funeral home was made. Funeraria Latina informed us that our loved one had been picked up from the hospital and they would have the courtesy to hold the remains until we found a funeral home that was available. To our dismay, we find out that our loved one was never picked up and remained at the hospital. This funeral home has made our loss feel even more tragic. It felt as if they felt no sympathy towards our loss or respect to our loved one. I wouldn't recommend Funeraria Latina.

We had just a small viewing in which my sister was put into her wedding dress she wasn't able to wear as she passed a month before her big day. They did a beautiful job.
