Was greeted by a teenage "sin sei" (as she introduced herself). After 15 mins of "learning", the sin sei said ok, that's all. When asked about the rest of the classes to attend because it is a one-week trial, she seemed totally confused about brought of a couple other teenage "sin sei" who were equally confused but eventually agreed that the one-week trial is equivalent to this 15 mins class. Such a disappointing experience. Had we known that it was 15 mins, we did not find and wait for a week that's clear of other plans. Disorganized, disorderly, chaotic. Just a mess. These two stars were for one of the teenage "sin sei" Gabriel who was patient and nice, not for the center.

The families are great, and all the instructors are so warm and professional. We especially enjoy training under Sensei Advait. He is extremely passionate about martial arts and sharing it with all his students, regardless of their background and ability. He puts a lot of energy into planning and carrying out every one of his classes. Whether it is the daily group lessons, our weekly private lessons, or his Saturday morning sweat-it-out exercises, Sensei Advait is always prepared, disciplined, energetic and helpful. All boys go through a Ninjago phase so I wasn't expecting him to stick with it for almost 2yrs!! Master Ortiz is an amazing teacher! He finds a way to encourage even the most stubborn and mischievous kids. He's very firm yet kind. Explains why moves have to be a certain way and goes beyond just the superficial to garner a deep respect for the martial arts. He's also absolutely hilarious! As such, he is naturally able to command respect and dedication from all his students. We had a blast for our son's birthday party at Aikido By the Bay.  They were able to accommodate…read moreour large party and even was accommodating when we had to postpone in July due to covid.  We were bummed to postpone but so happy it finally happened.  From start to finish Sebastián was really amazing, friendly and planned out our party.  He had great ideas and really made the party planning process so easy.  He was just a text away for any questions.  He would check up to followup as the party got closer.  One day he even called to offer us a complimentary cake.  We were like wow!! Donna was amazing with the cake and we all enjoyed it.  She asked us our preference on flavor and design. We chose chocolate and Transformers theme.  Cake was delivered to the facility.  She even threw in balloons and decorations and set it up.  She happened to be back at the party and helped with cake cutting too.  Sebastián was there to explain the rules to the kids for our nerf battle.  Safety was great and goggles were provided.  He was so patient with the kids.  He constantly checked in with us to advise us on status and flow of party. This was really a great experience.  The facility is really nice, spacious and clean.  We really had the best experience and couldn't have asked for anything more. The kids had a blast. Thank you so much!!! I was surfing the web looking for party locations. Finding a space that can accommodate many children at a reasonable price isn't easy. We didn't want to limit the party and not allow families to bring siblings. So this all worked out perfectly at Aikido By the Bay.
