Sold him a new heating element for just over going rate, but hey, keep in local. The element was not the problem. They sent out a service guy, who know the make and model and age of range. Well, this will shock you. The range is too old for parts. Did not see that coming. So almost $100 later, and would gave back 50% of the heating element, we both learned a lesson. So far going out to a customers house for less then 5 minutes, seriously, less then 5 minutes only to say, "its too old to get parts, check ebay" and then charging almost $100 for service call, NO THANKS.

Our LG refrigerator died after 5.5 years. We called Action, an authorized LG repair shop. He said…read morethe loss of freon was from the failure of the sealed system. For the parts to be covered under warranty, or the refrigerator to be replaced as unrepairable, he would have to call LG tech support. He refused to do without taking the refrigerator to his shop to pin point the leak, and said this would be $800-$1000. He would not diagnose the leak in the home. So no call to tech support, no warranty. According to LG tech support, technicians diagnose these problems in the home all the time and call the results in while they're still on site. It's hard to decide whether to fix or junk when the technician won't work with the manufacturer. I did find a repair shop to diagnose the problem in the home and work with LG. Beware, and ask questions before you hire this company. This was a big waste of time and money, and I still don't have a refrigerator. And I'll have to hire another tech.
