I was contacted within 24 hours and had an appointment booked for a service call early the next week. The service technician was helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. We are so pleased with the service. My husband called several other places and it would be days before anyone could fix our dryer. They were able to send over a service person just a few hours later. I called about my dishwasher which had stopped working a few years ago. They came out and fiddled with it for a bit, and now it's working fine. Our dishwasher stopped working and we called Fix Cities Applience. They worked very hard and tried everything to fix the dishwasher but when they tried all of the reasonable possibilities they told us not to go any further, the dishwasher is beyond repair. They really were watching out for our interest. This company is honest, absolutely professional and dependable. This is the only company we will call if we need any appliance repair. Starting out, I had to give this place 1 star to write a review and that is the ONLY reason the rating is that high. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid this place unless you are interested in getting ripped off. We purchased a stackable washer/dryer unit on Saturday from the owner, Eric M. Miller. He was 'gracious' enough to meet the price of another dealer unit we had seen in the area and had been listed on Craigslist. We were assured that the pre-owned models were 'vigorously tested.' This, I believe, was the first lie we were told. We received his rehearsed crap on how if we have any problems all we have to do is call, rather than write bad reviews...*note, this is me, writing a bad review, so it should be fairly obvious how the phone call went. We were also told that if we had any problems, to call and everything would be covered if we brought the machine back in. If we wanted their tech to come out, who, btw apparently wears a cigarette over his ear as part of the 'professional uniform' as described in their Yelp profile, it would be $49. We were led to believe that by paying $49, the tech would come to the house and fix the problems. Wrong... We purchased Saturday, hooked up the unit late Sunday and ran and dried two loads. Late Monday, I ran another load and came back to out the clothing in the dryer. There was water on the floor. Not a huge spray or leak, but enough to use a couple of hand towels to clean up. Upon returning from work Monday night, my husband checked it out, including all if our piping/valves/connections, etc & that was all fine. He removed the front panel of the washer and found a leak. There was water sitting in the bottom of the unit that had seeped out enough to overflow the holes in the bottom of the unit. It took three loads to build up enough water to do this. So, I called and explained the problem, anticipating that he would give me an issue about paying the $49 for the tech to come out and fix a problem that obviously existed before we purchased the unit. He didn't even offer to have the tech out. His solution was that we bring it back in & they would fix it there. Now, keep in mind that this unit was purchased as a secondary setup for our master suite, on the second floor. We also have a large set of steps to enter our home as it sits on a hill. We live in the country with no close neighbors. I am 8 months out of cancer treatments and six months pregnant. Sure, we'll bring that right in... When I told him that we were offered upon purchasing to have the tech come out and fix it here, he then said that yea, that was an option for him to come and pick it up, however I was hearing for the first time that all repairs are done in the shop. So, I'm now supposed to pay a pickup charge for something that was supposedly working two days prior, which he knew because they 'turned it on for us' in the store. Remember how I said it took 3 loads for the water to build up enough to leak out? How exactly would we have seen it leaking in the 2 minutes you had it running? So, when the machine arrives at the store, are you going to run it continuously to find and fix the leak or run it through a half of a cycle and call it good? How will I know you will have fixed this? Do I need to come in and waste my time to watch the appliance for several cycles and make sure it's been fixed or chance having to either run the machine back to the store or pay another pickup fee? Ugh. So, pissed off husband goes into store during his work day and asks what the problem is. The owner spewed the same crap to him that I got a few minutes earlier, which mind you was not the same as we received in-store on Saturday. He then proceeds to refer to me and say, ' she said she was going to let me know' which never came out of my mouth. I told him that my husband would be in touch so they could work this out. Then, he proceeds to tell my husband that he must 'not have had a complete conversation with his wife.' This guy is an arrogant ass unless you're giving him your money. He doesn't give two shits about making sure he's selling appliances that actually work, nor doing what he says the process is for fixing things. Moreover, he skimmed over a purchase receipt/warranty, acting like he's told you all the information when clearly he is just trying to get your credit card. This place is a total joke. The owner is an asshole who shouldn't be in the customer service business. Don't fall for his crap. I should have seen through it...the only reason to start spewing about not leaving him negative reviews is obviously because he's had past problems. People who don't have problems with their customers don't lead with that in their sales shtick. Avoid, avoid, avoid! We are paying someone else to come and fix the unit. read more

My 6 year front load started leaking of course on a Sunday. I emailed company, Eric responded quickly. Kevin, the repair person, came out Monday and determined a part was needed. Eric ordered the part and let me know where it even was via the shipper/tracking. He even emailed me the information as I do send emails early in the am, his response was within 6 minutes!!!!The part was installed the same day it came in and washer works like new again! They were prompt, courteous and professional. I have already referred friends to them. Very comparably priced based on a competitors price. read more

Fox Cities Appliance is a great place to shop. I was in need of a used washer and they had a lot of selection to choose from. They all looked in good condition, even though they were used and the price was within my budget. The store was clean and the salesman was very knowledgeable and helpful. He talked to me about the best machine to buy for my family of 5 and why I should stay away from the high efficiency models. I would never have known this without this advise. We have had our washer for about 3 weeks now and it has done a ton of laundry and is performing just like new. I would highly recommend Fox Cities Appliance to anyone looking for get a good used appliance. Also, they delivered it to my home the same day and took extra time to set it up and make sure it was level. My basement is old and the floor kinda slops toward the drain. Great customer service...even though we didn't actually purchase anything! Very honest. Our fridge died 2 days before we were set to take a long family vacation, followed by a military permanent change of station move. We called Fox Cities Appliance & Mattress in order to have it replaced/ repaired. Rather than charging us to have a technician come out and look at it, he took probably 30 min to help us trouble shoot it over the phone, then when he didn't have the part, he freely gave us the names of his competitors so we if could track it down. When nobody in town had the part, we called him back to order it from him but instead he gave us a line on another online purchase that would be slightly better than what he could offer. Who does that! Not being at all mechanically inclined and having very little time to deal with this situation, this business owner had every opportunity to take advantage of the situation without us having a single clue. That's integrity! We will definitely shop here again considering they just turned our $250 problem into a $45 one. read more
