Stopped for a cup of coffee on the road. Was very surprised with this little Gem. The two ladies behind the counter greeted us when we walked in and were hustling around. They were having some local get together inside and treated us just like a local. Coffee was strong and hot and the food was good. Had a pistachio cookie(wonder if they ship) that good. They had some locally made stuff for sale. Would have expected a different vibe with the inside attire but there was none of that. We came across this place by chance driving from California to Texas and the nearest Starbucks was like 40-70miles away (I can't remember now) and we needed a little "pick me up" for our road trip. This cute little coffee shop was not hard to find, it's located in a little town out of no where. As soon as I walked in, the first thing I see is the rainbow flag on the wall and I tell my son.. hey they represent your gang! :-) The next thing I notice is the rest of the cute decor. There was 2 other people in the coffee shop when we got there and shortly after others started to come in. They had a display case with a few baked goods and they have some unique flavors. I got the coffee with honey and it was quite good. It gave me a little boost in energy. I wanted a little more energy, but it did what it needed to do to get me to my next destination. The shop has several tables and thank goodness they had a restroom! Restroom was semi clean, but overall the place was clean. If I was ever in the area again, I would definitely stop here again and give this place another chance. Parking is not bad, there's not a lot of people so it was not an issue. There's other businesses nearby and I'm not sure what the day to day looks like, but it did not seem busy at all. The locals seem to like this place as it's rated pretty high. Such a great find in Santa Rosa. Mr. Bee's Coffee & Tea is warm, welcoming, and has a fun retro atmosphere that makes you want to hang out for a while. We ordered the Breakfast Bowl and it was incredible: fresh ingredients, great portion, and packed with New Mexico flavor. The Zia Latte was outstanding too, with cinnamon and anise that made it feel really special compared to a typical latte. You can tell they care about what they serve. Friendly service, great coffee, great food, and a space that feels like a true community spot. Definitely worth a stop. We will absolutely be back next time we pass through. read more

We are driving from the Ohio to Flagstaff and stopping at various spots along historic Route 66, found this on Yelp. Super cute, near cute area of town. The food looked amazing, we were between meals but grabbed a cinnamon sugar croffin, chocolate chip cookie, strawberry iced strawberry cookie, honey macchiato and lemonade mojito (n/a). Everything was exceptional.. the cruffin was warm and airy, sweet but not overly, very good. The strawberry iced cookie, was made with real strawberries as well as the frosting, my favorite! The chocolate chip cookie was full of chips, wish we bought a few extras of everything for later. Sorry no pics, we gobbled them up before I thought to take a picture. Good driving stop. My husband got a black coffee & I got one of their seasonal berry lattes. Both were good. Seating was comfortable enough. Parking is easy & we felt safe. There is a little grass promenade across the street, that worked great to have our dogs have a pee break while on our roadtrip. Favorite breakfast place I got to visit during a road trip from California to Texas. Service was friendly, efficient and kind. Cute medium sized shop with some seating and local trinkets for sale. My London Fog latte here was really good, made with a Tazo tea which isn't my favorite but whatever they did to it, was good! Had another London fog latte with tazo at a different coffee shop and it wasn't as good. Burrito bowl tasted freshly made with quality ingredients and so flavorful, had to ask for a couple hot sauce packets to amplify the spice though. The juice I got was AMAZING. I think it had blueberries and I forget the rest but it was listed on a sign by the register and was one of the best juices I've had for a not so crazy price which I now forget. Overall a perfect coffee shop with lots of food and drink options! Found this because it was open early morning from our road trip and I'd return if I'm ever back in town! read more

I dunno but I'm sure happy to add another five stars to this wonderful coffee shop! After driving an hour of boring I-40, it was nice to get off the road for coffee and breakfast and some wifi. Mr. Bees is friendly, local, inexpensive and comfortable. The coffee was terrific, the bagel was great (definitely not a New York bagel) with egg and cheese. Sweet spot in Santa Rosa just off i40 along historic Route 66. While traveling through we found this stop through Yelp looking for coffee and breakfast. This was the perfect stop!! Local shop with friendly service, great coffee and tea selection and unique little gift show to peruse while you wait. They also have lots of food options and serve lunch all day! Grab a sandwich for later in town the road ;-). We were also traveling with our pup. The location next to the square made it perfect to take the pup for a walk and get some fresh air while we prepare to complete 10 more hours in the car! We stopped in on a road trip from AZ to TX for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. Both were great! The bagel sandwich had actual eggs cooked to order with spinach, green chili, bacon and cheese. The woman working was such a delight! The one thing that could have topped off the experience was a little bit of back ground music playing. I've worked in coffee for over 9 years and this little spot has best of everything: Drip coffee was fantastic with lots of nutty notes and was well brewed, the Zia lattes were to die for(props to the kind barista who was working the espresso machine because they pull some great tasting shots and was super nice.) customer service was easily the best I've had- friendly and prompt but not overly so and seemed like they genuinely like what they do... the food was amazing as well. we had the green chili croissant and the bowl and both were perfection. After reading about Mr. Bee's I knew I had to stop and I am SO glad I did. I had the Santa Rosa Mocha (I asked them to lower the sugar, which they did). It was AMAZING. Cinnamony/spicy - just try it! Using the recommendation below I had to try an almond croissant and, yes. Better than any I've ever had, in any city, anywhere. Heavenly. Yummy Espresso drinks, made with expertise and care, along with home made pastry and friendly attention, in adorable setting. How could it get better? We stopped by here on a whim for coffee while camping in Santa Rosa. It was an absolutely adorable coffee shop with plenty of choices, friendly staff, and a wonderful set up. If I lived here this would be my regular spot. The toddler area is so friendly to be set up for kids to join a parent. We did get sick from the peanut butter toast that I think may have been made with the peanut butter that was recalled. I haven't had a chance to contact the store yet, but will soon. read more

First of all, I'm thankful that because of places like this (small town coffee shops) you can find decent coffee on road trips. Mr. Bee's is very clean and decorated well. Service was fast and mostly friendly. However, I do have a couple minor gripes. 1.) Don't serve flavored coffee as your espresso blend. I like pinon coffee, but was not expecting it in my espresso. It doesn't work. 2.) When patrons come back inside after paying to grab a napkin, don't harass them. Maybe they were joking, but I couldn't really tell. That being said, if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely come back and give them another shot. read more

One of the things I love finding on Yelp are wonderful small businesses in small town Americana, just like Mr. Bee's! We were greeted as soon as we came in by the very friendly staff. We ordered different paninis and coffee drinks, and all of them were excellent. I personally had the Club Panini, and tried a bite of my daughter's Pizza Panini - both are "must try's"! With the Club Panini, I recommend adding the Green Chile Raspberry sauce on the side. An excellent stop along Historic Route 66 - I highly recommend fellow travelers making this one of their break stops along their Interstate 40 travels! I wish we had a neighborhood breakfast place like this where I live. The people that run this establishment feel like family. Like in-laws that you really love or cool aunts/auncles. When I was traveling through New Mexico, experienced quite a food desert as far as produce and salads and fruit go. I was very thankful in a small town like Santa Rosa to find this delightful breakfast spot. My son and I each had a croissant of sorts, and the croissants were fresh, baked, crispy and chewy. Very delicious! I got two kinds of juice because I was starved for vitamins, they were all lovely. My daughter had the peanut butter and banana toast, and enjoyed it. The restaurant feel is comfortable, cozy like your favorite coffee shop with board games and fun memorabilia on the walls. People walk their dogs outside and stop in for a latte. There's nothing else of note (to a tourist) on this corner aside from a tiny theater, and it really feels like an oasis! I highly highly recommend stopping here, especially if you are on a long New Mexico trip. If they were near me I would be there at least once a week. read more

After I tried all the salads in Santa Rosa, Their salad is the freshest. Owner is very kind and generous.

Stopped in for a quick coffee on the road to OKC and we were delighted by their vanilla latte and their specialty, "the Luna". We also got some sandwiches, which were quick and delicious. The BLT with their sweet dressing was a real treat. The owner was friendly to talk to, and the LGBT pride flags on the wall made for a welcoming atmosphere.
