Similar to another reviewer, this is my first time to write a Yelp review. The service at Mr. Clogged Drain was SO bad, that I felt I should say something to protect others. I would NOT trust this company. They took my money and provided almost 0 service. They also provided me with no way of getting a refund, and they refused to return my calls. First time, they came out, they were late. They could not figure out why or how my bathtub would leak into our kitchen. They cut a hole in our ceiling. They said there was no issues. They left the hole in my ceiling, and charged me to come out. The bathtub still leaks, and I had to pay to get my ceiling repaired out of pocket. Second time, my warranty company sent them, they came out and didn't fix anything. They also showed up late again. We were having water pressure and heat issues. They said they were going to replace the shower cartridge, but they needed to order the part. They said they weren't going to fix the other issues. Third time, they said they were going to come to replace the cartridge. The guy tells me the previous tech didn't take a photo so he didn't order the part. He would have to turn off my water, take a photo AGAIN of the part and then MAYBE he would be able to replace it. However, he was going to show up so late into the evening he wasn't sure if the parts store would even be open. Then they said they weren't going to complete the service AFTER taking both money from my insurance company and taking my co-pay. The owner was rude, talked over me and then wanted to lecture me on how to act after calling me out of my name. I asked for a refund for my out of pocket expenses. I have still yet to get a return phone call or my money back. STAY AWAY. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Repeatedly late. Repeatedly rude. Ask your insurance company to send you elsewhere. I tried to switch before they came the 3rd time, but their company took the funds from CHOICE. So I couldn't switch vendors. read more

I would NOT select this company on my own. Had to use them because my home warranty sent them out. Wanted the money BEFORE they would look at anything. Looked at my water heater for a few minutes and all he did was turn up the heat. Called to try and get copy of receipt regarding work done and got the runaround and one man I spoke to was rude, Told my HW company I never wanted them sent to my house again! read more

Do not use. They are very unprofessional at best. They were dispached by HWA to change out a water heater that was under warranty. I drained the water heater for them and they said they'd spent 1.5 hours at the last house draining the water heater. Demanded payment prior to starting work. Claimed it was a HWA requirement. When I explained it was not a HWA requirement the phone rep hung up on me and had the boss tell the plumbers to leave. I called back and tried to speak with the boss, but he hung up on me. The group of plumbers was so rude to my wife that she was crying after they left. They also did not turn the water back on to the house which required a special tool. read more

Came with a broke snake then told warranty company i have a major blockage and also broke my line now i have to file with the license board to resolve and fix this bigger issue now 100% RIP OFF DONT LET THEM IN YOUR HOME. Good thing my home cameras have audio and video telling his boss the snake was broke and i'm sure he is at someone else's house right now with his 2 tools and 1 is broke. read more

Mr. Clogged Drain was sent to us by our home warranty for a leaky water heater. They said they needed almost $1700 above and beyond what the warranty company would pay. I asked for a detailed estimate but was never given one. My father had to accompany the plumber to Home Depot for the water heater warranty and had to pay over $40 to get the water heater shipped back. After the repair, we contacted Mr. Clogged Drain a number of times and were told they would send a receipt. They have not up to this time. We were taken advantage of and would not recommend this company. We will likely dispute the charges with the credit card company unless we get something explaining the price difference. read more

DO NOT LET YOUR WARRANTY COMPANY SEND THESE GUYS TO YOUR HOUSE! They overcharged me and then claimed I underpaid them. They threatened to leave the job undone if I did not pay the revised bill. Troy is overbearing and yells at you when you question his work. I hesitated leaving a review at all because there were so many other bad ones, but I just learned they totally cut off my kitchen sink line when they rerouted my bathroom pipeline. After $8000 of work, I still had to call another plumber because this guy refused to acknowledge his error and correct it. Troy will probably answer this with some lame explanation blaming me, but look at all the other bad reviews, we can't all be wrong. Also any of the good reviews are people he told to leave a review to offset all the negative ones. Notice how they all have only 1 review history. read more

If I could give this company a zero star rating I would. They came out to fix a leak under the kitchen sink. After the initial diagnosis appointment, they set up a second appointment to actually fix the problem. On the day of the second appointment, they no showed. Fast forward to 2 weeks later and they had an additional 2 no shows for scheduled appointments. When I called Mr Clogged Drain to ask about the repeated no shows and to reschedule the appointment, the receptionist was extremely rude and unprofessional. Had a toilet clog, when I plunged it, water ran out from the base of the toilet. I contacted my home warranty company and they set up an appointment with this company. The plumber never showed up for the appointment, never contacted me to let me know they would not be there or that they were running late, etc. I contacted my home warranty company again and they reached out to Mr. Clogged Drain and asked them to contact me. Nothing. Not even a courtesy call. I contacted my home warranty company AGAIN and they said if I do not hear anything within 24 hours they will contact someone else. After reading all the other 1 star reviews, I'm not so sure I even WANT them to come out. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. They tried to cancel on me 30 minutes before my appointment for the initial inspection. I expressed my frustration and they ended coming out to College Station that day and assessed my issue. I then got a call back from the scheduling guy two days later letting me know that they could come do the repairs the following Thursday. I called, and called and called, to confirm the appointment, leaving multiple voicemails, to which I had no response. It was imperative that I confirmed, as the job was in college station, and I resided mainly in Katy. After failing to get a hold of anyone, I called my home warranty company and they got a hold of the tech that said they would come out 5/23, between 11-3. I called the tech this morning, and was told he doesn't remember that conversation, and that they were not going to be coming out, "because a $40 job is not worth the gas it takes to get out to College Station." That's fine, but then DON'T SAY YOU OFFER SERVICES THAT FAR OUT. I wish they would have told me that upfront, rather than wasting two weeks of my time, and asking off of work, for them to cancel. If that's their "philosophy"-- which is to only offer services if it benefits them, then I would have cancelled the initial inspection. Now, I have to start all over, while I have a hole in my ceiling, and a leaking toilet. read more

The company called to let me know they were very busy and would likely be late to come help me out. An hour later, another tech called to let me know he would go ahead and come by within the hour. He was amazing! Literally. I told him we are now best friends. He kept working to solve my problem even though he was afraid it could have been a pipe and not just a blockage. He was able to clear it thankfully, but the best part was his attitude. He was a pleasure and sweet as can be. Very nice guy who I felt comfortable having in my home. I wish I was better with names, but I hope he had a wonderful weekend for his father's birthday! All around good guy and solved my problem. read more

I first hired a well-known plumbing company they came in made the situation worse and gave me a higher price telling me that's what I had to pay to fix it I ended up calling this company to come and give me a quote because I felt like the quote that the 1st company gave me was too high. mr clogged drain came in and give me a cheaper price and fixed the leaking the next day. read more

This company is fraudalant. BEWARE .. They came out in March 24 , 2023. First technician was that came out was too big to fit in attic . stated that I needed two parts replace that my Home Warranty Choice paid for .. I waited over a week thinking they were waiting for parts. messages and calls were ignored. Finally got through to I'm assuming a manager and he came out and all he had to do was liget my pilot on my water heater I was told by the manager they will contact Choice home warranty and cancel the part since they did not use it it is now July2023 not even 4 months and again my pilot went out. Fortunately I was able to light it myself I contacted choice and was made aware that this company was given funds to go and pick those parts up that they never use for the customers. This is a very crooked company. There EXCUSE IS ONLY WARRANTY PEOPLE COMPLAIN.. no be AWARE , they will falsify issues needed so they check from the warranty companies and never pick up parts and install and they will ignore you when you're supposed to return. This company is running a scam with home warranty companies. They send someone out to estimate (which is way over priced) submit it to the warranty company. If it is approved at their over priced amount they send out someone that is suppose to be a master plumber. The person that finally showed up to repair our toilet didn't know how to fix it. The flange was cracked. The warranty company approved the repair that was submitted and the guy that was suppose to fix it took it apart, said it was installed wrong, told the warranty company which they in turn wouldnt approve the repair. He left without putting the toilet back together and we have a one bath home...... I had to find someone the next day and had to pay emergency repair rate. On top of all the issues with the repair person; the person that answers their phone is down right rude if she happens to answer and could care less about your issue. She is the owner's daughter. For the record, Bo (technician) was great! Pleasant, helpful, and did the job. The guy who took the phone from a female employee the instant I shared my displeasure with being recheduled TWICE, needs customer service training. I called out of my work office both days for the scheduled appointment, only to be told they wouldn't be coming. The reason? "You're the only job we have in Bryan and it's just not worth it for us." Of course, this was said with attitude and an offer to cancel the repairs on our ACTIVE LEAK. In other words, screw you, customer, we have your back against the wall and we know it. Please don't take jobs in an area that you'd rather not service. Please don't treat customers like you're doing them a favor. And please don't use the customer's hardship (my active leak) as a weapon to threaten them into submission. That just makes the customer feel like their being victimized and it makes you look/sound like an @55. Sorry for the language at the end there, but you inspired me. read more

I had Mr. Clog company come out to my Condo for a leaking bath tub faucet. they took pictures of what needed to be done and sent it to my warranty company. Warranty company disputed it. The warranty company and I agreed that the job will cost $200.00 to complete my repairs. I agreed to pay $100.00 and the warrant service pay $100.00 . I called Mr. Clog made an appointments for them to come out to do the work. 1st appointment 4hrs late did not have the parts and to late to work with maintenance. 2nd appointment for the next day they were a no show and did not call. 3rd appointment it was a no show and did not call. The 4th appointment the tech called me an hour before he was to arrived and explained to me that instead of $100.00 I would have to pay him $350.00, that in addition to the $100.00 from the warranty company in order for him to do the work that day. I tried to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but the in your face disregard, for my time waiting on no show no call appointments, unprofessional attitude, this was just ridiculous. If you're reading this, I'm sure you're curious who's going to be coming to your home for a repair. Let me just start by saying I've had some plumbing issues in my new home and decided to contact my warranty company. After being told the warranty company had someone assigned to my case, I found out it was Mr. Clogged Drain. I had an appointment set up on a weekday between 11am and 3pm the gentlemen came out (had to borrow my ladder because they did not bring one) and inspected the ceiling where the leak was coming from and took some photos (very quickly). I then explained what I thought was leaking and left it in their hands. I paid the gentlemen the service fee of $65 and was told they will submit it to the warranty company. From here the warranty company was very quick and responsive to the situation, they had the same crew come back out a few days later again, between the times of 11am and 3pm. I took off of work and waiting on the crew to show up and could not get ahold of them. I then got a call around 5/5:30 from them stating they were on the way. I wanted the job finished, so I told them to still come out after being late. When the men arrived they looked as if they were on drugs..... very very shady and still had no tools or ladder. The men stated "that the previous person who came out said they could use your tools". Very unprofessional....... So, again I let them borrow my tools and proceed. After looking around it appeared they had no clue what to do. They said they will need someone else to come out and do the job. Keep in mind this is a plumbing company and I had a minor leak in the ceiling. The crew left and I called the company's landline to further tell them what a horrible experience I just had with their services. I received a call from the owner of the company, he was being very nice and apologetic, he even went to the point that he offered to come out on a Sunday to do the job himself and get this issue fixed, so I gave them another chance and said, yes. The owner showed up on a Sunday with his crew and appeared very nice and wanting to get this job finished. After further looking into the issue he told me that this job was in fact way more expensive than what is men submitted to the warranty company. He even said when his men came out the first time they should have better assessed the situation and they did not. So, he ended up saying it was his mistake and he will fix it to keep a happy customer as should every business owner. They hammered a hole into the ceiling found the issue and had to call a specialty carpenter out to further cut in the ceiling to reach the leak which was the bath tub. After assessing the bath tub both the owner and the carpenter said it's best if they remove the bath tub. They cut the caulking and dismounted the bathtub to find out that the leak was coming from the pipe leading down the drain of the tub. After telling me they need to find the part I waited for a few days and I texted and called the owner. Just to keep up with them, since I had a hole in my ceiling. I even went to the store trying to find the part myself... after telling me they are with me through this all the way, I get a text from the owner saying they are submitting this back to the warranty company since they couldn't find the part (b.s.). I told the owner to felt as if they were giving up on me and I got a call from him cursing me out, saying racist comments and even threatened me that he never removed the tub. I could go on and on about this company, honestly take my advice and re submit a claim for a new company to come out or find someone else!!!! I never make posts or reviews online and this goes to show I went out and found the time just to save other people the struggle and money. read more

They are a very rude and unprofessional company. Tried to blackmail me to get my hot water heater installed faster since this was on home warranty. DO NOT USE. New Hot Water heater was approved and appointment was set for Friday, Then called and said hot water heater was not available to pick up yet (Home Warranty said the approval was done) said they could do it Saturday but would cost me another $250 to install and put me ahead of the other warranty customers. I said no. Called on Monday to get a date of when it would be installed and now they have no idea. Said still not available to pick up. Friday they said they didn't have anyone to go get it from Katy, now it is not available. They lied, tried to blackmail me to get it sooner, and then were extremely rude and told me they were canceling my claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Find a reputable one. read more
