BEWARE. I'm so bummed to have to share this, but I feel, due to integrity, I must. In case you are searching for a reputable plumbing company in the Houston/Katy area, please read this first before choosing this company. My elderly mother + I have used this company multiple times over the years. No longer. I live out of state and come back to support each one of my elders multiple times a year so that they can continue to live in dignity and by their own design. Over the years, I've personally hired plumbers from this company and built personal relationships that have been trusting and built on integrity. I like to establish loyalty-oriented relationships with companies, so that there's a history of trust and stability that can be accessed when needed. But - something's different now with this company. Very different. Last week, my mother's kitchen faucet started leaking so I purchased a new one that matched the one needing replacement. I called Capital Care Plumbing, per usual, to schedule a replacement appointment. I was not told how much it would be to simply replace a faucet (that I already had on hand, with all parts supplied), and frankly, I didn't ask for a price over the phone due to the historical relationship. Cutting to the chase, for a 30 minute faucet replacement, the charge was $313.00. For less than 30 minutes of work. $313.00. Period. The plumber who came out agreed that it was exorbitantly high, he said there was nothing he could do - it was company policy. For literally 30 minutes of work. I had the new faucet ready to go, he was in + out in less than 45minutes, including the very challenging time he had trying to figure out how to run the credit card for payment. I was stuck + had to use them. My mother is ill and was asleep in the next room, I really had no choice. If I lived in Houston, I guarantee that I'd have not used them today. I would've found someone else with more reasonable pricing. But alas, I didn't have the luxury of researching for a better option (of which I'm sure there are, and will do so beginning today for future engagement). If I lived here in Houston, I would NEVER use this company. I'm certain there are other companies with much higher integrity + concern for their customers, particularly loyal ones. read more

My shower diverter wasn't working and I had a slow drain issue. Also, my garbage disposal burned out and I needed help. Jared and Cisco came out and figured the problems in the shower and bath. Then in the kitchen, the disposal was not a problem being changed out but then they found a leak in the pipe. They were able to fix it and explain the reasoning behind it. I really appreciate that they asked me before they did any work, explained the situation and pricing and then finished the job in a timely manner. They were professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Jared did an awesome job and saved me TONS of money! A previous service company inspected the drain line and said I had a break. Their 'fix' was to tunnel under the house and replace the line. Jared and James came out today and ran a camera down the line from several directions (even from atop the roof via the vent).......Ha! There were NO breaks. Granted, the pipe is old, has some buildup, but we're going to let this one be. I don't want to cause a break. read more

I had Capital Care out the last time I had a leak, a couple of years ago. When I returned from a trip weekend before last, I noticed some staining in one of my bathrooms, and on the wall behind my headboard, so I knew it was time to get a plumber out here. I called Capital Care around 8:30 AM this morning and left a voicemail, but two hours later no one had returned the call. I called back and spoke to Megan, who immediately dispatched someone. Steve and Sam came out, and were competent, professional and pretty nice guys. Steve went up into my attic and quickly found the source of the leak and provided some options for a repair. Once I selected how I wanted the repair to be done, they had to leave to get the correct parts, but they quickly returned. 15 minutes later, the repair was completed and they were on their way. From the initial contact to completion, the elapsed time was about 2 hours. Steve and Sam got everything done in an efficient manner, and need to be singled out. Megan was good as well, but I do have to point out that I had to call twice to get them out. Fortunately the leak was not critical. I noticed someone else had a similar experience regarding not returning voicemails, and you need to address this issue. Other than the voicemail problem, I would highly recommend Capital Care, and I'll use them again. read more

After reading several reviews and researching companies. I selected Capital Care. I call and spoke w/Julie she was very professional and warm. She explained their process and inquired if this was an emergency job. I said no and she ask me what day & time was good. We picked a day & time and she called me on that day to let me know the person that was coming and what time to expect them. Steve & Tucker came in very professional w/mask and booties on their feet. They told us the bathroom faucet needed to be replaced (it was from the builder & cheap) we had them replace the kitchen faucet because I wanted a fancy one. After a few scheduling problems he made up for the run-around by making a special trip out to me. Pricing was definitely on the high end compared to the national average for the type of work performed. Assistants needed more training before coming onsite, though. read more

I've had these guys out to the house three times, and was mostly satisfied. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and they usually come the same day I call. I was a little disappointed that the third time they came, they charged me $350.00 to fix the toilet, (something to do with the flange) and when I called to report that it was leaking, I had to pay another $124.00 to repair that problem. They said parts were needed. I wish they had anticipated that before doing the initial work, and I would have just purchased a new toilet. Fast service, but I feel like I wasted some money. read more

After getting ignored for 3 days after the estimate was due by another plumber that I found via Lowe's, I was very happy that Capital was able to come out as quickly as they did. I was going on day 3 with no hot water in December! Aaron trusted that I knew the capacity of my water heater as well as how tall it was - can't say that for other plumbers - and was probably able to handle it faster than if he had to come to my home to spec out a new one. Is it pricey? Yes, but it was less than a $1k and the people at Lowe's gave me the impression it would be more than that due to new regulations. We had a leak in what appeared to be our upstairs bathroom. We normally use Katy Plumbing 911, but they were busy and recommended Capital Care Plumbing. They gave us a 6 to 9 PM Window and arrived at 7:30. Pete quickly identified the problem, went upstairs in the attic to confirm and was in and out in 20 minutes. He also told us how to fix up the stain left of the ceiling. Best of all he did not charge as "We didn't do anything". This is takes an honest company. I would highly recommend them and am now have an additional plumbing crew to call on. read more

Everyone at Capital Care Plumbing was very helpful and professional - from the receptionist who handled my initial call to the plumber who came to my home and did the work. I always say the true test of great service is how a company handles an issue that arises. That was the case here. We had a leak that was no fault of Capital Care's plumbers at all. It was a faulty part that I had bought, which they installed for me. However, they were able to repair it and stop the leak with no problems whatsoever. CCP may not be the lowest price you'll find, but their rates are definitely reasonable, and the quality of work and level of professionalism are well worth an extra few bucks over hiring a budget plumber or handyman that might charge less. Extremely happy with our new water heater! We found out that our 16+ year old unit was leaking Sunday evening, so I gave them a call right then & there. We all agreed that it would be best for them to come by the following morning and they were here bright & early. They gave us a quote, picked up the new unit, and had it hooked up by Noon. Get multiple estimates before using these guys, or you may be ripped off. The thermostat on our water heater went out resulting in no hot water - no bueno. I called Capital Care, who quickly sent a serviceman to my house. The thermostat was under warranty, so there would be no charge for parts, but the labor fee was $500! Yes, you read that correctly. $500 for roughly 10 minutes of non-intensive work for one repairman. When I explained the price I was quoted to my husband, father, home builder and the eventual repair company we chose, they all laughed hysterically. Do not be taken advantage of by these guys simply because you aren't an expert on something plumbing related. Ask around! We will never consider this company again because they do not have the ethics and values of honest customer service that we support. read more

She told me she'd have someone out by 9am the next morning which I was thrilled about, being I called late in the afternoon. Bryce and Enrique showed up exactly when Megan said they would. They introduced themselves and began the task before them with an impressive level of professionalism. I admired their determination and good hearted nature despite the challenges. They worked with great zeal and accomplished the job charging exactly what was quoted! I should also mention how cleanly Bryce and Enrique performed their work, considering the dirty job. Thanks to all who have left reviews. I picked Capital Care Plumbing based on your reviews. We called them in for a leak in our bathroom. Initially, Megan was fantastic representing CCP on the phone. She made the appointment quickly and the plumber showed up exactly when we scheduled on the next day. They determined that the leak was something that was actually construction related rather than plumbing related, gave us a path for restoring or repairing the problem and since they did so quickly, said, "I feel bad about charging you the travel charge (which is very reasonable) when I can't help you today with this problem." So...while he was there...he checked our hot water heater, kitchen sink and garbage disposal connections without additional charge! My wife was happy. I think we are going to remodel our bathroom and we'll be calling CCP back to handle the plumbing for us. read more
