On 7/8/25 we received 3 quotes for Gas lines to be ran from Meter to House. HTown was most competitive. On 7/9/25 Sergey went above and beyond his scope of duty. They ran new lines with extensive prep & execution of project. The water heater also needed to be repaired to be in compliance with City code. Sergey replaced lines to temperature relief valve. Home line gas leak verified by Centerpoint on Wednesday morning. Called H-Town minutes later. Bar shows up within an hour and begins to address the cause of gas leak. Within hours it's repaired and City Inspector is scheduled for the next morning. Estimate for repair on gas line was competitive. As one review states, that language barrier was an issue. It wasn't. Yelp to the rescue! I put out a request via the Yelp service request side. I was connected to 4 different companies that service my area and responded within 3- 4 hours. 3 of the 4 companies responded. After chatting with them over chat. I did some research on reviews and gathered some quotes, and went with H Town plumbers. Service - was great. H Town plumber was able to schedule my service via the Yelp chat, and they updated me the day of and had an accurate arrival time. Bar, my plumber, arrived with all the proper tools and equipment he needed and went straight to work. He fixed my garbage disposal in about 10 minutes and communicated everything he did as he went. He also provided me with some tips to prevent the issue again. He was knowledgeable and helpful, and I would request him again. The only real downside was the price, which is not in his control. And it was probably a competitive price compared to other companies (we all know everything is expensive). Bar stated they are a small 4-person team. read more

Several months ago I called this company to request an evaluation of a plumbing issue at my home. I was told a plumber would come out, but I was never given a scheduled time window. Instead, the plumber arrived unannounced in an "unmarked" van at a very inconvenient time and parked in a way that blocked my driveway and access to my garage. I politely asked him if he would move his vehicle so that I could park inside my garage. He refused and said he would "only take a second," even though it was interfering with my ability to use my own property. When he looked over the issue, he said he would provide me with a written estimate. I also asked whether he would be pulling a City of Houston permit for the work, which is an important and basic requirement for certain plumbing repairs. He seemed confused by the question and simply responded that "the work would be fine," without clearly confirming whether a permit would be obtained. While his estimate was lower than others I have received, the overall experience left me uncomfortable and lacking confidence in the professionalism and compliance of the service. In my experience, it is often better to pay a little more and have the work done properly, legally, and with clear communication. They said free estimates but only if you accept their service quote. Unfortunately, this experience gave me the impression that working with this company could be difficult and potentially lead to possible legal problems later on. For that reason, I decided not to move forward with their services. read more

I called on Friday about my house having a water leak with an unknown source, and Sergey was scheduled to come out the next day to check it. Something came up and I requested to reschedule for Monday at noon, which thankfully they were able to accommodate. This was the extent of my good experience with this company. Come Monday, I'm notified almost two hours before the scheduled time that Sergey is on his way, with no ETA and no confirmation that this new time worked for me. He arrived 25 mins later during a time that was not convenient. I tell him that we've had a slow leak indicated by the water meter, and he immediately declares it's a toilet before listening to the rest of my explanation. I tell him that I changed out half of the fill valves in the house, and all but one flapper, I even shut off all the toilet valves but the leak still persists. He does not seem to be listening to the info I'm giving him, he just asks to see the toilets in the house. He sees that one of my toilets has an old fill valve and flapper, and tells me that is where the leak is, and he can replace them for $200. He doesn't do any test or check to see if it is actually leaking. He also tells me that another toilet has an old flapper, and when I said I just replaced that one last week, he does not believe me at all and insists that it is at least a year old. After all of this, he doesn't look at anything else in the house, and also is not receptive to my attempts to tell him what I have already done to diagnose this leak. He simply tells me that he can fix the toilet first, and then we can proceed from there. I decline, and he tells me it would be a $90 service fee for him having come out. I tell him that when I first called the company, I had explicitly asked about fees and I was only told that it would be a ballpark of $225 if there was something to be done, and I was not told at all that there would be a service fee for having him come out. All in all, would not recommend this company as I felt like I was treated as someone who didn't know anything that he could make a quick buck off. read more

Houston was the best most knowledgeable plumber, drained it for free because he signed us up for free annual draining, which includes ac/heat check up twice/year. He adjusted our water heater so we can trickle the water all night during hard freezes 30 degrees and below with/out running out of hot water. We called H-Town Plumber, and they were able to schedule a same-day appointment. The technician arrived promptly and quickly assessed the situation. H-Town Plumber was responsive and came out pretty quickly after my request to check the water heater since hot water wasn't working at a rental property, that's the extent of the positive feedback. The tech called me announcing their arrival and called back 8 minutes later saying they're done. For that time, I was charged $240 for a system flush and "Electronic Adjustment" though my tenant said he only saw the plumber mess with the tankless heaters settings and did a reset before hot water flowed again. No typical flushing of a tankless system to his knowledge. Can't help but feel the charge was excessive for the work done as no one mentioned the trip charge amount, maybe I didn't ask the right questions. read more

It has been three years since my last review of H-Town Emergency Plumbing, and wanted to confirm -- they are still great to work with. At this point, have had them out twice to replace 30-year old bathroom fixtures, one for a hot water heater gone cold, and once to help me pinpoint a leak. The fixture replacements were installed perfectly, and the plumbers were extremely detailed in explaining how things were set up in my house and how they set things up to work for the future. The leak check was very helpful - honestly, it was something I should have caught myself (thought it was my kitchen sink acting up, it was actually my dishwasher calling it quits), but they also offered valuable leak prevention advice in other areas of my house which I've acted upon. But the guy was friendly and fast and cleaned up after himself. I would likely use them again. I just think 190 for screwing in a faucet is crazy high. read more

I am writing this review on this company's outstanding communications. I needed a plumber to repair or replace my shower divertor valve. They had pictures of a satisfied customer that had the same exact situation. I was super excited to find them, ON YELP!!!, and they are only 7 miles from me! I not only received texts but also calls to ask about the situation and to explain the possible costs after they come to check it out. I have never had such a polite and professional contact with a company all within a span of a couple hours. Unfortunately my insurance company contacted me and informed me that they insist on using their contractors. I tried to get them to approve this company but to no avail. Based on this experience I would definitely recommend them AND use them in the future if my insurance fails to provide a contractor in the future. read more
