Mr Drew and His Animals Too is an amazing place not just for kids but for adults too. I have brought many friends and family and everyone has always left pleased with their experience, from learning about the many different reptile, aquatic, or arachnid animals to actually being able to hold different animals. If you are lucky you will be greeted by Mr Drew himself or one of his many peasant and happy staff that will be sure to brighten your day with their personalities and enthusiasm. By the time you are ready to leave, you are leaving with more than just a little bit more knowledge about the center and all the animals they care for, You can actually tell immediately when talking with the staff that everyone their loves theirs job what they do. So go check them out at their new location in Poland, Maine. You won't be disappointed! They are all so very friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have about the Center or the Animals in their care. read more

How did I not post this? It's just sitting in my draft folder. Ugh. We visited Mr Drew and His Animals Too in their last day in Lewiston. Not only did the grandchildren absolutely love it but so did I. The animals are great! The staff, phenomenal and while I'm sure it's difficult to stay excited day after day, they made us feel like we were special guests. We arrived around 11 and the kids asked if we could stay until closing. Even today, the oldest (he's 12) said, "I wish I lived in Maine and could have my birthday party there!" We will absolutely be making the drive to Poland once the new location is fully set up. Best of luck - although I don't think that's going to be necessary. The community involvement, education and giving back will be enough "luck" to make you as successful in the new location as you have been in the old. We have followed him from one location to the next and will continue to follow him wherever he and his animals go. Snakes, lizards, spiders, turtles, fish, birds, frogs...and more! Educational and fun, Mr. Drew's is highly interactive and enjoyable. Well worth the visit. The animals are rescues and the staff are amazing to care for the creatures so lovingly and respectfully. The entire team was kind and informative. Great for kids and adults alike who love animals! Oh. My. Gosh. GO to this place! Mr. Drew was so very patient and informed and absolutely wonderful at educating the kids in such a fun way. More than that, the entire bunch of folks working there were just amazing, as are the animals. Ari, in the snake room was especially GREAT. It was a very busy day there (vacation from school) and she was calm and upbeat and happy and yet taught us all so much. The animals and their cages/enclosures are so well kept. We absolutely LOVED holding the ball python, feeding the tortoises, digging for the special rocks and learning their names etc. etc. This was eight dollars...what a bargain!! And the children were given fresh popped popcorn on the way out. This is such a wonderful venue...I do not live in Maine, my grandson chose this. His family will most definitely go back. OUTSTANDING! Mr. Drew puts on a great presentation filled with animal care, learning to make good choices, animal husbandry, ecology, planet-saving education, and fun-filled facts. He's passionate about teaching our lils about making healthy pet choices. Mr. Drew rescues reptiles and amphibians that would otherwise perish. He's funny, he's kind, and mostly he's a brainiac about animals. LOVE his shows! read more
