The menu had all the Malaysian food we were familiar with. Orders were placed and paid for at the cashier in the front. Tap water, utensils and napkins were self serve at the front. The sequence of our order was a little different with the entrees first and the roti last. The laksa was full of chicken, bean sprouts and thin noodles. I just got regular and it packed enough heat from the soup for me. However I was expecting more flavors out of this laksa based on past experience. The seafood CKT had a good mix of shrimp, squid, mussels and fish balls but seemed a bit on the smaller side. The smokiness of the wokhei was good and the overall dish had the right amount of oiliness. The roti was disappointing as it seemed overly fried and difficult to pull apart. The side of sauce tasted like the laksa soup but I detected an older oil taste when chewing it. Definitely not one I'd order again. Dishes were cleared by the staff after our meal and the next customer waiting inside quickly took over table. Overall a mixed bag for us.

That he sold 10 others that day and no one complained. He looked at another diner who had the lamb back strap also the owner commented that it diid look under cooked. He aggressively offered her something else - she asked for Risotto - Butternut pumpkin and sage with parmigiano Reggiano - it came out with balsamic vinegar on top. When the diner asked why it had balsamic vinegar on it he said looked at her and said "are you for real" its on the menu- its not .. who would put balsamic vinegar on a risotto... what a horrible experience to end our Tassie Trip.

Usually the hot broth can cook down the the thin raw beef slice and insures fresh tasty beef. So I've had much better. At least the beef balls was tasty that was included. I always check the cleanliness of the pea sprouts, which seemed decent. There were no mint leaves, a few sprigs of cilantro, and the slice of lemon. There was of course a bottle of Siracha Hot Chili Sauce at the main counter. Small oversight and no fuss or cat's bum face when I quietly showed it to the pleasant waitress for assessment. It was replaced swiftly and a glass of wine presented on the house as compensation. Sweet! Little frills such as carved leather logo menus, linen tableware, beautiful crockery and snazzy glassware suited the presentation of the staff and clientele, all of whom seemed to have made a decent effort on dress and presentation. It's not posh. It is cosy. Service was impeccable and selection of plates and beverages a delightful mix.
