In the process of repairing the foundation of our house, we needed to remove previously installed grade beams, which is a huge amount of concrete attached to the house foundation (about 2-4 feet deep and 2 feet wide). We selected James Palma's services for our whole house strip -- we literally removed almost everything from the interior of our home in preparation for our whole home renovation. We had them remove all the hardwood floors, the carpets, the interior wood shutters, the window coverings, the entire kitchen, including the island, counter tops, and even the fireplace faux-surround -- down to the studs. James and his son, Jair, are both hard-workers, quiet but friendly and approachable. They also dealt well with our occasional -- "oops, we forgot to add ..." request. They showed up on time each morning and worked straight through for 9 or 10 hours each day, neatly filling their haul-away trailer, and sweeping the work areas clean each day. In our home, the hardwood floors had been glued down to the cement with a super-strong adhesive, and the Palma's had to work extra hard, using specialized tools to first separate the hardwood from the glue and then the glue from the cement. The Palma's did an excellent job for us, hauling away all the demo debris, as well as some other junk at our home. We really appreciated their timeliness, hard-work, and good clean up. We plan to hire them again in a year or two, when we help our son with his future home renovation. read more
