In search of on site service for both, I searched Angie's List and read a number of vendor reviews. I liked the reviews for Mr, Jean Tool Repair so, Googled the business for additional information. That is when I came across glowing Yelp reviews and the business website. That evening I completed Mr. Jean's service request form. I liked that the form collected all pertinent information regarding the tools to be serviced, model and serial numbers. The following morning when I checked my email, Mr. Jean had responded with an appointment window for the following day. Mr. Jean and his assistant, Miracle arrived, gave me a very reasonable price for the repair of both tools and accepted many forms of payment. They had both engines running in no time and left no mess behind. Both were most pleasant and explained to me what was wrong and the fix. Also, Mr. Jean showed me how to start my new leaf blower and winter storage care. I highly recommend this company, my new go to for mower and blower repair.

I fixed the snowblower myself, Today, on a follow-up cleanup the belt started smoking. Drove right over to F & F and bought a pully and an auger belt. Impressed that they have stock of all these parts. While there and chatted with Frank. Nice guy. I see they are Husqvarna dealers and Stihl dealers with all sorts of landscape equipment good to know as there will be a spring and then summer coming before you know it. Outside were 40 fixed snowblowers waiting to be picked up. Not sure the issues people have had but hey its incredibly busy. Maybe dont wait until the last minute. All in all, this was a great find for me and saved my ass. I found my place.

Equipment repair - I had been waiting for my son to come and take me to bring my snowblower and lawnmower to the shop ( Home Depot) I had been waiting for four months, and at the rate he would have taken it would have been 8 - 9 months before I got fixed. So I remembered the last time I went on YELP I found a car repair shop, so I looked again and saw Mr. Jean, contacted him and immediately received a response for time and date, like a day later, so I scheduled the time, sent him my address, he was delayed and communicated that effectively, which was not an issue. Jean came looked at the equipment, cleaned and replaced the broken worn parts, added gasoline, filters, spark plugs and anything else the machines needed. I was so impressed and grateful to Jean that I will use him to help me maintain my equipment going forward, if you are having any doubts, DON'T!! Jean is worth his weight in GOLD. Jean is an absolute lifesaver! I called him because my snowblower wouldn't start--neither the rip cord nor the electric start worked. To my surprise, he was at my house within an hour of my call. Jean quickly diagnosed the problem, and in about 45 minutes, my snowblower was working perfectly again. Not only did he fix it, but he also took the time to explain how to properly maintain my snowblower to avoid similar issues in the future, which I really appreciated. On top of that, he noticed my lawn mower needed servicing and offered to take care of it right then and there. He did an excellent job on the mower as well, all in the same visit! Jean is incredibly knowledgeable, honest, and efficient. I couldn't be happier with the quality of his work and his professionalism. My John Deere snowblower would not start and I didn't want to damage my car by transporting it to the repair shop myself. Pick up and drop off charges for these places were also high. A search on the internet says Mr. Jean MobileTool Service will come to you and fix your power tool in your driveway. Mr. Jean was punctual and showed up in an ingenious setup-a rear loading wheelchair lift van! The Dx was a bad carburetor. It was replaced in short order. My snowblower purs like a new car now, and I didn't have to lift a finger. The best part is, Mr. Jean seems to truely enjoy what he does and is a real people person. Mr Jean arrived on time and did a very thorough job tearing down and putting back together my Ariens snow blower. I thought it was cold to work outside in my driveway, but he seemed happy (mid 40's). He showed me stuff that was going to have to be replaced in the future, but was ok for this season. I'll plan for a friction wheel in the spring. He had great suggestions on how to "summerize" my snow blower and keep it running longer. Very professional, and a great guy. Worth every penny! I will definitely use his services again, and highly recommend him. If only he could inspect my motorcycle in the spring. read more

Mr. Jean got my snowblower up and running in less than an hour. I had an issue with it last year because I foolishly waited till it snowed to fire it up. The gas sat for over a year and needless to say it wouldn't start. Other repair shops were quoting twice as much and even asking me to load it up and bring it to them. Mr. Jean came to my house worked in the driveway and I am ready for whatever snow does or doesn't come this winter. Would recommend to anyone having snowblower trouble. Rob L. In Brookline MA: A small engine repair shop told me my snowblower could not be fixed, and pressured me to buy a new one and leave the old one there. Mr Jean took apart the engine in my driveway, fixed it, cleaned and re-assembled it all in about 20 minutes. It runs better than ever. I recommend Mr Jean enthusiastically and with no reservation at all. A very pleasant guy, and informative and obviously very skilled. Try him for any repair before you give up on any small engine! He was incredibly thorough & did a spectacular job restoring and refreshing my 1990's era Ariens snowblower. He's very nice and happy to explain and teach while he works. I had a leaf vac that was completely gone and we tried to get the parts we needed but would have taken too long so Jean came over and took the whole engine apart and restored the compression in the engine and freed up the frozen rockers inside the head and cleaned the carb. Being the middle of winter, it was difficult to schedule an appointment with Mr. Jean, but once he finally came, he did a great job. It's nice to have a snowblower repairman come right to your home and get the job done right the first time. The initial and ongoing communication was excellent; text messages were answered quickly and efficiently (so many companies today never even respond to potential customers). 2.) Jason comes to the house! What a great stress-reducer; lots of companies will pick the machine up for you but it's co$tly. 3.) The price for the repair was also the most reasonable of all the companies. And once here, Jason was friendly, easy to talk with and didn't have to guess at the problem; he knew exactly what was wrong (the carburetor needed cleaning) and the most efficient way to fix it. I'd have him back any day to fix all of my equipment.
