I have a snowblower which i was given three years ago but never used. We couldnt' start it & ddn't know what the problem was. We arranged with Mr. Jean to come over after finding him online, & he squeezed me into the schedule. One of Jean's employees worked here for about 80 minutse & has the snowblower running just fine after changing the oil, spark plugs adding gas, putting a few new screws in, dealing with the carurberator. He also showed us how to use it properly. He charged $385. I know the reviews have been either very positive or negative. Appointment was booked 2 weeks ago due to how busy snow blower repair companies were. I total understood that and waiting was no problem. The day before my appointment I texted Mr Jean to confirm and got a text back saying I was all set. The day of the appointment I never received a call or text so I texted Mr Jean at 3:30 to see what was going on he confirmed I was still on the schedule. Guess what? If you don't want to be left high and dry I would stay away. I gave this place a chance and booked before a snow storm. The repair man didn't show up and the woman who answers the phone didn't follow up/answer the phone. I had to pay for snow removal when I could have done it myself. I eventually got my snow blower fixed for less than half I was quoted for. The repair person could have been busy but would it have hurt to call back and reschedule? read more

My Jean is awesome! I'm one of those owners that don't always drain the gasoline out of the snowblower every year so my snowblower needs the maintenance. Mr Jean comes once a year or once every other year to help me with that. It's not cheap but it's cheaper than buying a new snow blower. I got couple of snow blowers that I need it to be start it up and one of them has gas leaking (I thought) He told me that he was going to fix them for me. When the snow comes I went out to blow the snow and the one that has gas leaking wasn't working and it has the gas leaking still. I called him that the snow blower wasn't working he took a week to come back to check the snow blower wasn't and he told me that all the snow blower has a gas leaking when you prime them to much, so I told him that he charge me $500 to just start 1 snow blower and put a pull start line on one he walked away and didn't responded me. Mr. Jean just tuned my snow blower. I could start it, but it was knocking and rev'ing. I appreciated the fact that I could watch as he and his assistant thoroughly got my snow blower to run like new. I was very pleased with Mr.Jean's mobile lawn mower tune-up (they came to my house so I didn't have to transport it anywhere). Mr. Jean is very chill, gets right to work, answered my questions as I hovered around trying to understand the problem (bad gas). It wasn't raining when he arrived but was full scale torrent when he left. I want right out & mowed the field-high grass. Unfortunately, it sputtered and stopped at the end. I didn't think to check gas since it was all new. I requested he return & he did, arriving 5 minutes after I checked & found no gas. He stayed & really gave the carburetor a serious clean. Then recommended canned fuel that will last multiple seasons. I'd like to believe he would hv been more thorough if the rain hadn't started pounding tigers & wolves that first day. I'd also like to give 5 stars bc I really liked him & his operation, but he did have to return & I hv developed a low tolerance for that. I recommend you give him a try! I will call him again if I run into different trouble. Cost $130 to clean carburetor, drain & dispose of crappy gas I'd used, add new gas, change the dirty oil (I provided oil). If I could give zero stars I would. Jean was nice and did arrive as scheduled and on time. I did not get the price up front which WAS my fault. However when charged for an at home lawn mower service, it was a whopping $500. All other competitors are around half the price. Told me I may need a new battery and if the charge he gave me did not work to just get a new one. Battery issue was that both wires simply needed to be tightened. One would think he would have checked that?!? Since his service the mower has not been the same and it is only 2 years old. Now at the end of the season the mower once again will not turn over.
