We have waited over 2 months to post a review of Diamond K Concrete in order to give Ken time to…read morefinish the job and fix the issues we have had. We contracted Diamond K to pour a concrete curb around our house to prevent water from getting into our crawl space and a small slab for an outdoor kitchen. We paid a 50% deposit to start the big job, and when Ken called and changed the original plan for the curb, we agreed on a different plan when he recommended that we didn't need the curb around one back section of the house. He said he would do some other work in lieu of pouring that part of the curb. To make a long story short, a lot of promises were made that have yet to be fulfilled, and here we are over 2 months later, and the job is incomplete and the curb is not working (they did attempt to fix it by doing something a month and a half later that they should have done as soon as it was built--filling in). The wall is guaranteed to prevent water intrusion, by the way. Also, we were told that they do not move on to another job until one is finished--which is completely untrue in our experience. Water is still getting under our house, and our floors are buckling. We are still having to step up over 10 inches (previously 6 inches) just to get into our house because they haven't fixed our steps, there's concrete spray all over our siding of our house, there are damaged siding pieces (broken off), and the lattice was never reattached. It took an act of Congress just to get them back to clean up huge concrete pieces, etc., and we had huge mounds of sand/clay in our yard for weeks because we were put on the back burner for other jobs. We are reasonable people and just wanted the job done as guaranteed and done right, so we have been VERY patient trying to work through issues, but our patience has run out. Most recently, we have received no response to messages. Ultimately, we should have paid the $500-1000 more to the other company to do this work. We do have lots of photos and videos I can share if anyone would like to see the work and issues. I've attached a small sampling. DO NOT pay them until the job is 100% complete. We paid the remaining amount on the pour day because we were basically told the job would not be finished otherwise. Ken stressed this is how he does business. Since we had a guarantee in our contract, we put our trust in this company, and now we feel naive for doing so.
