Their rating was good on Yelp and so I have decided to give it a try. Its located in the basement, which is hard to know that it exist unless you google or is told by someone or by Yelp, of course. So this one is close by to where I am located. I am looking for a store front Mortise Cyclinder Lock. Went in and got help right away. They had the Mortise Cyclinder lock on site and they rekeyed the Cyclinder lock and sold it to me for a very reasonable price. The locksmith was infact surprised how I know how to take the lock out. I also got the locksmith to rekey a 2 sided commercial key. He was honest and told me even him himself has no guarantee that the key will work because its one of those really difficult key to rekey. I like his honesty. Honesty is good. Downtown is very honest and very professional. They are my go to lock problem people Now. Thumbs up to them.

Further I asked and got agreement that I would give me Visa card number, but that the individual would accept a interact transfer once he sent me a invoice. (It is a rental house) Well the bill was $372 (including taxes) no where near the quoted price. Then he charged my Visa card when instructed not to. Then the individual (I will not call him a locksmith) who is seriously lacking in professional skills. Warning do not do business with this individual. Overcharged to the point that I am writing this review to ensure that as few people as possible call this individual.

Passionate, honest locksmiths that genuinely care about each of their customers…read more Having just moved in to our new office & warehouse, we needed some lock work done. We called a few locksmiths but none were available on short notice, but luckily these guys were. Jason (owner) is a great guy to deal with. Super friendly and knowledgeable, he's definitely not out to rip you off like a lot of trades people. One of the locks we had was a seldom-used brand. Instead of trying to source one, he creatively found a generic lock chamber that would work, saving us $$. After quickly finished the re-keying, Jason went the extra mile (at no extra charge) inspecting our facility for possible security holes. Sure enough he noticed we didn't have security collars around a couple of locks, making it easy for someone to break in. So he installed some heavy duty collars. He also pointed out different ways a thief could break into our building without being detected, which was obviously good to know. Thankfully we don't store valuable goods. When it comes to any trade, when you find good guys (or gals) you stick with them. I highly recommend calling West Coast Mobile for your locksmith needs. Are they the cheapest? No, but definitely worth every penny. If you want to be cheap on your security go ahead. You'll get burned later.
