I showed up today, as I did every two weeks, I walk In and nobody's there so I wait for a minute or so then "will" bursts through the back door and reaches his hand out to me without saying anything... I'm like uhh..? Hello... here's my id ‍ he takes it rudely of course and has long nails that scratch me.. disgusting.. so we walk over to the sales counter and he's like "what do you want" so I explain awkwardly to his rudeness "just picking up some bud" never having seen him before then I ask about some bud I haven't seen in awhile and he's just throwing out excuses and trying to be condescending instead of just saying they don't have it at the time(he thinks I only come in once every 3 months when I come in bi-weekly and he tried to use it as an excuse for his rudeness) so as he's being a douchebag trying to avoid my question while still somehow trying to be condescending, I end up just cutting him off and say never mind and what I want cause at this point he's drawing this way out and honestly just being a general piece of crap. He asks for my phone number and I'm like ... I didn't even say I had an account here.. but tell him the number... then he asks for my date of birth I'm like wtf? Why? He's like oh it's how I do things Instead of scanning the id, so I hand him my id and say yeah let's just do it this way, again his attitude and rudeness he's slamming cases dropping bottles all sorts of psycho behavior and as I go to pay he keeps staring at the pin pad to see my pin.. I give him a look and he doesn't take the hint so I literally have to stare at his face and turn the pin pad away from him. He asks if I want a receipt and I say yes definitely and he asks for my phone number again... I'm like wtf and ask why and he gives an weird excuse saying if the birthdate doesn't match you can get the f- out of my store.. wtf is wrong with this creep like he didn't literally just finish the transaction. so I point out how rude he's been acting and how he's slamming cases dropping bottles etc etc and ask for his name and he responds with his name (Will) and "get the f- out of my store" and puts a crumpled receipt on the counter.(strangely enough, without me providing my phone number again ) I respond with "in all the times I've been here I've never had to deal with such a piece of sh*t d*ckbag." These people have no clue how to check ID's. I'm 24 and from California and they wouldn't sell to me because the worker said "she couldn't take my ID". Go to the one on 15th instead. They suck here. read more

Service sucks. Went in with my buddy who's 23, they told him his ID was fake cause Jeremiah had "never seen multiple layers on an ID". Told to better to get out. Not gonna go back. read more

An eclectic selection of produce and goods. Pretty small market, maybe 30 vendors. One vendor that was a standout was the bakery. By the time we got there around 11 they were mostly sold out - good for them. This is clearly a go-to vendor for the market and the locals know about it. A couple of great produce vendors, we bought some wonderful tomatoes and blackberries from one of the vendors and were very happy with them. There a couple of food carts, mexican and a breakfast place, both looked pretty promising. Jewelry, woven baskets, re-purposed clothing, all worth a look. A couple of weird booths, one with non-authentic indian artifacts and a place selling some special glass cleaning product ala "as-seen on TV" type of product. If you are passing through, get there early to try the baked goods and score some produce for your road trip.

I hadn't been to Rice's in years. I don't know why. Part of it probably was convenience. It's…read morenot on my normal route. It's a special trip. I usually commute by bike, so that's a bigger deal, especially since it takes some cycling on less than ideal streets to get there. I recently needed some wound management supplies. On the way home, my friend stopped by Bi-Mart first. I am a big fan. They didn't have what we needed. We went by Rite-Aid knowing they are usually the most expensive. They apparently carried one of the items we needed, but they were out of stock. We did take note of the price. I waited in line to ask the pharmacist in case they had some other things in back that weren't on the shelf. They told me to go talk to the other part of the store as they just dispense medication. Another line, and I got a cold, "Nope; if it's not on the shelf we ain't got it." We were going to head out to the other Bi-Mart and Safeway next, but decided to stop at Rice's on the way. I am glad we did. My friend didn't want to stop there, but my friend's mind has now been changed. Not only did they have all the items we needed, the prices were much more affordable. Did I mention the staff is very friendly? No. I guess I didn't. Well, they are. Helpful and friendly. Even though it's out of the way, I think I'm going to tell my doctors to change all my prescriptions to Rices. If that helps keep them in business, it's a no-brainer. Small independent shop that cares about the community, unlike Rite-Aid which is a huge corporation - allegedly number 148 in the Fortune 500. Far more personable. It reminds me of growing up in the '70s. One of our neighbors was a pharmacist at an independent drug store nearby. We always used that pharmacy for the same reasons I'll always use Rice's now.

I love Rice's pharmacy because of their personal, small town feel. I contacted Kevin and he said yes of course. They relocated it to our house, then we had to get a plug in installed. They moved the lift, built the platform for the less than other companies quoted just to move it. Then about three weeks later they were finally able to install it. They had to build a platform, which is very nice. I am completely impressed and will recommend, Kevin, Jason, Logan and Jason.
