I've been using Pawn Shops in the Dayton area since the 80's. Since then, I've done business with several of them over the years. Last year I discovered Mr. Pawn Shop on Linden Avenue, and I will never use a different one from now on. From the owner to the Counter Staff and the Security guy- they're all Top Notch. I never feel as if I'm being "looked down" upon. They greet me by name, and always offer fair valuation on items I pawn. It's a really nice shop, with all sorts of quality items for sale as well. They're very reasonable with their rates, compared to other shops, and if you need more time to repay, they are glad to accommodate. As long as you pay your interest and storage charges, your pawned items will stay safe in their massive warehouse until you're ready to redeem them. They also purchase items. I'm a musician, and I trust them with my beloved instruments. I highly recommend Mr. Pawn Shop if you need some cash to get you through lean times, without worrying your stuff will get damaged or sold. read more

Ive done business with Richard and Mike since they opened up for business. Excellent isnt great enough praise for them. Ive purchased jewelry, computers, games, weapons.... well the list goes on and on. Theyre always informative and knowledgeable. I read the prior post.... sad that he doesnt realize that Mr Pawn purchased his items in good faith and shouldnt have to loose money they paid for the items. A good attornery would help him get his money back from the thief and be glad Mr Pawn is taking care of his property and he can get it back at all. Great HONEST people to do business with. This is by far the best pawn shop in Dayton. Their prices are very fair on the item they sell and the quality is always the best. They also offer very fair amounts on loans. Most important is they are friendly and make you feel good about being there. Most other pawn shops I have been to make you feel like your a lower class person for having to get a pawn loan.
