Had a great time at this pub during my first visit to Luzern, they had the Euro 2024 football games here and the atmosphere was great mainly when Holland played, it was full and lots of cheerful friendly people, & their signature burger was great!

Laid back, gorgeous views, people watching, great beer, efficient staff, and typical bar food that you can count on to be just that. We had a great afternoon snack and beers here in Luzern after flying in from Newark via Zürich. We were jet lagged and just looking for a quick bite to get our bearings. We snagged a great table by the water. Seating is first come first served. You go inside to the bar area to order, but servers bring your food out. Ample seating, and just a great experience. We had the nachos and a couple of lagers.

Loved this place, great location, variety of beers on tap and food choices. We had the fish and chips and it was awesome and perfect for sharing with a side salad. Vicky was awesome love her bubbly personality and humor!

From the outside this place has a feel of 'dive' bar and 'hostel'. (This is a bar and hotel.) We had arrived in town at a time when most other restaurants were closing lunch service and we were hangry and ready for an adult beverage. Or two. Having been in town on a previous occasion we knew this English Pub was nearby and took a chance the kitchen was open. I am so glad we did! It was warm inside on a cold December day, and quiet with only a few other customers at this odd time for a meal. The bartender assured us the kitchen was open and explained we decide what we want and order with her. The menu includes a variety of apps, salads, club sandwich, fish & chips, burgers and sides. Basic pub fare. We ordered a chicken burger and fish & chips along with a Murphy's red and a Guinness. We got our beers, paid the tab, grabbed some cutlery and a basket of condiments, and returned to our table to enjoy our beverage while watching cricket on the telly. Wandered around a bit and see they have an area in back for darts. Brilliant! Our order was delivered to our table by a woman with a British accent. Talk about authenticity. The chicken is deep fried and crispy coated. We ordered a side of fries to go with. The fish & chips include two varieties of fish, both portions were adequate sized (not too big, not too small) and cooked very crispy. The tempura batter was good and the portion is served with a lemon wedge and dill infused tartar sauce on the side. I splashed on a bit of malt vinegar and salt. The 'chips' were well cooked, crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, cut large and a generous portion. Plenty of food to satisfy both our appetites. The interior is decorated with sport memorabilia, wooden signs telling you to order at the bar and Mr. Pickwick items. There are a couple of TV's showing sporting events. The booths are a nice leather in good condition. The tables are heavy, wood topped with decorative iron legs. The bar, in the center of the room, has beer on tap, mixed drinks and coffees. The espresso is good, and I got a pint of Ben & Gerry's ice cream for dessert. This is a super relaxed, friendly, no frills venue. A nice place to chill with a pint. Beer or ice cream.

Great place to get a beer and enjoy the views. Or watch soccer inside. We enjoyed this place.

The fries were awesome. And the two women behind the bar were so nice. Service was great and English beer was fresh.

This place seems to be very popular with locals. We came for a very early dinner (around 4:30) and…read moresaw that most of the tables had reservation cards, so it was likely fully booked for the evening. We had the Tajine Kefta with fries and a small Mezze plate with Hummus, Baba Ganoush, Falafel, and Taboulé. The Kefta was moist with a loose texture. It was a little bit spicy and had generous amount of tomato sauce. The hummus and falafel were the weaker of the two mezze items. The hummus is a bit chunky (not super smooth or fluffy). The falafel came with Tzaziki (super creamy and very garlicy). They had good texture, but not super crunchy and crispy on the outside. The Baba Ganoush was really flavorful, deep, fresh, with good texture (smooth with some chunks of eggplant). The taboule was also really fresh tasting and moist. The service here was also notably great. Servers were super helpful and kind. Their bathroom was also quite nice.

Ok. We went there tonight. Read the reviews. Bluntly. You must not have many restaurants that can…read moreserve similar cuisine. I had the Kafka dish, basically lacking in spices and really with a tomato sauce would have been something a college student could have made for ten dollars for four people! My wife ordered vegetable couscous. Couscous( dry) with some sticks of carrots and zucchini. Keep in mind, we have to pay $34 CDN for EACH of these meals. If it wasn't for the beer and the feel to the place....1/2 a star would have been it. Ps. The bar was busy! Yes. I've downgraded to one star. The important part. My Kafka dish was not made fresh or had been sitting so long that it started to have the fat congeal. When I took the fancy cover off my dish when it arrived...a skin had formed over the whole dish and the edges had solid fat forming.
