I used to go to Syracuse for parents day every year while my daughter went to school there . I found Mr. Shop on her freshman year and since then parents day became also Mr Shop day... I did a lot international business travel for almost 30 years and always picked up something along the way on favorites shops however I never expected to run into such a nice set up store in Syracuse that became one of my favorites . Services is superb , jackets , jeans , shirts and shoes are world class ... My daughter graduated a few years ago and decided to stay and work for a Fortune 100 Corp. there ...so for my 60th birthday guess where from an educated Syracuse Engineer girl will buy from for her dad ??? Can't say enough about Mr. Shop. I'm in desperate need of some new clothes for the office, after being remote the last 15 months in t's and shorts! I went in 18 months ago for the first time and had such a great experience I decided to go back this week to check out what they had. Jordan and Joel rock. I told them what kind of place I work at (digital marketing agency), told them it's a pretty casual dress code but I wanted to step up without being too dressy. Before I knew it, they were pulling different shirts and pants for me to try. I'm so pumped with what they recommended. I ended up getting two pair of Paige dress pants made from this really awesome fabric that stretches and doesn't wrinkle. Slim fit but not overly slim. Plus 3-4 short sleeve button shirts that fit insanely well and are made of a jersey material that also doesn't wrinkle. I liked everything so much, I ended up going back a few days later and got two more of the shirts and a blazer. If you're sick of the mall and the subscription clothes boxes, I highly recommend this place. Yes you are probably going to pay more than you're used to, but it's worth every penny because they make it so easy, the clothes will actually fit you, and you will love how you look. Can't tell you how much money I've wasted on stuff from the mall I wore once and donated because I hated how it fit and looked! read more

I came into Syracuse for a wedding today and managed to forget my suit at home. I called Mr. Shop and spoke with Eric. He assured me it would be no problem, asked for some measurements and had three great suits waiting for me when I arrived. From the three, we picked one out that was perfect and on short turn around it was tailored and ready to go. Imagine my surprise when I stumbled upon Mr. Shop, an upscale men's clothing shop with great service and a fantastic selection of men's casual clothing. Fast forward to today and, with the addition of their custom suit business in the very capable hands of Ben and Tara, Mr. Shop can meet all of my sartorial needs - for a night on the town or a day in the office. It really is amazing to get fitted for a custom suit - with the fabric of my choice, lining of my choice, and a cut that flatters my less than fit body - and then be able to order a few more suits in different fabrics that fit me exactly the same way as the first. I was inquiring about a Tom Ford cologne and the salesperson was more concerned about another customer. Not only was I offended,but I feel he did not take me and my spouse seriously about making the purchase. I would have bought the cologne, but he seemed to be distracted by another customer that the other salesperson was assisting. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I stopped in here while I was in Syracuse for a wedding. I forgot to pack collar stays and this place was across the street from my hotel. The gentleman at the counter gave me a pair on the house. Without writing a lengthy email all I can say is this place takes the cake when it comes to an awesome selection of men's dress and casual wear. I don't like spending a huge amount of dough on shirts, but when it comes to Robert Graham and Ted Baker I just have to have them. You don't need to go to a mall because this place has most everything you need. The new custom department is excellent, though i haven't ordered anything custom, you can select your cuffs, monogram, mixed fabrics all for a set price. I don't live in the area, but I always pop in when there is a sale because you can get amazing clothes at a fraction of the price. read more

NEVER AGAIN. I stopped in looking for a couple sweaters for late fall.The merchandise was all very nice and I thought I had found what I was looking for. The gentleman was polite enough, and the dark haired young lady I spoke to was helpful. 3-4 minutes of browsing & I felt I was interrupting their chat. I thought I would just purchase my sweater and leave. Taking a last look I saw a blazer that caught my eye, tried it on, and asked for a picture, for a 2nd opinion. First the blonde young lady says no, then is told it's okay. She takes the worst picture possible, and giggles before closing it. At this I decide to leave with nothing, shocked at the lack of professionalism and decency. It was like some sick joke among them at my expense. I will not ever return and was honestly hurt and embarrassed by the photo she took and then laughed at me. read more

When my daughter decided to go to Syracuse for college, I didn't realize I'd happen upon one of the best men's clothing stores in the country. Off the rack suits, custom made suits, sports coats, dress and casual shirts, slacks, etc -- you name it , they have it. All brand names at very reasonable prices. For the past four years, I've built out my work and casual wardrobe when flying in to see my daughter. Joel is not only one of the best clothiers in the country but the nicest. Never give them terms as they simply won't pay anything and successfully play the "boss is not here" game for up to 8 months. This shop provided great service during a pinch. I was in Syracuse for a wedding and realized one hour before the ceremony that I had left my suit pants at home. With my navy jacket in hand, I sprinted to the store and told the sales person I needed a pair of pants that would coordinate with my jacket. She quickly found me charcoal pants that fit near perfectly, and she and several other employees reassured me that they worked with my navy jacket.
