Bring cash because it's cash only. If you want your car vacuumed that's do it yourself but it's only $1.00 and the kind gentlemen washing your car would be happy to give you change. I vacuumed my whole car and trunk and still had time on the vacuum to spare. I have no complaints about Jiffy Car Wash. Best $4.99 I've spent in a while!

As I drove up in my pollen covered car...let's just say looks can be deceiving. I requested the $11 super wash and the gentlemen scrubbed my car and then sent me through the wash. He even got the spots only the owners of the vehicle see. I will return every time I am in the area. If the cost is too high for your pocket they have a $6.50 regular wash also.

But some change occurred recently and now they train their crew on some scripted gym membership type of hustle where they won't even display the cost of a single wash until they tell you all about their stupid dog treats, lollipops, carpet scents, customer lounge, etc associated with their membership plans. I'm in business so I get it. You can pump up projected revenue better with easily-forgotten subscriptions than organic traffic flow. But train your losers to drop the timeshare rental sales approach and cut to the transaction. I just want the salt off of my cars and not an "experience". I can't even imagine how many flatworms fall for this schtick and sign up for memberships only to forget about them, while ownership either takes out loans on pumped up revenue projections, or prepares to sell an over-inflated business to some rube. It is cheesy at best, and predatory at worst. Be warned that these clowns also own a location on Hartford Road in Manchester now too. Same desperate games there I'm sure.

This increase showed up on my checking account statement. No warning, no phone call, no email, no mail, they just raise the rate because they thought they could. I was stunned with this poor business practice that Russell Speeders does apparently to almost every customer This business should be investigated by the State of Connecticut consumer protection immediately for their deceptive business practices. I feel bad for the employees of this establishment because they actually are very nice. Management is terrible. Upper management is possibly the worst. $29 a month to $49 a month with no warning. Never again Russell Speeders never again. I have canceled my monthly membership. There are many car wash services in the area that offer monthly rates, and I'll be checking them out shortly. I will also be disputing these charges with the bank.

However, when I got home, I noticed that my rear license plate bracket and light were not there and there were just the wires. I returned to the car wash and the manager said I know what you are here for and gave me the broken bracket and bent plate. He said I needed to fill out a damage report and get in touch with corporate. I sent pictures and a description of what happened. Unfortunately the office didn't see it since it was in their junk mail. I waited two days to call and she did find it and asked me to include the estimate I received for fixing the light and the bracket. I received a call the next day from a Mr. John {I think his last name was Gumbo)who said it is their policy of the company not to pay damages on Jeep Wranglers that are damaged in their car wash. I have never removed my drain plug the entire time of owning my Audi and every time they would do my oil they would ask to pump it out but not this time, they just carelessly went right to work on it. Checked my bank on the next month expecting to see the old rate....NOPE...... it was at the NEW rate. I went and cancelled my membership. They were the only DECENT car washes in the Windsor area. Trust me, I have been to every single car wash from WinLox to Bloomfield. Speeders in Bloomfield is on a side street that forces you to cross Blue Hills Ave to get back into Windsor. It's dangerous. My life and vehicle aren't worth the inconvenience of the location. I have no clue where I will go to now to wash my SUV. I may go back to my trusty bucket and do it myself. Very disappointed that there are no decent, honest car washes in the Windsor area.
