Austin responded to my call for help within an hour and he tentatively suggested it might be a spark plug or coil and that he could come to my location around 5PM the same day and take a look. I was frankly skeptical because all the videos I watched detailed an elaborate process to removing all the stuff on top of the engine before you can even get to the coils/plugs. Much to my surprise he was able to gain access by just removing the engine cover. So he evaluated the problem, went and bought the parts and installed them, all in just a couple of hours. I was amazed. Austin was professional, confident and thoughtful. I would recommend him without hesitation. Even though the car has not had the P0306 DTC or the Check Engine Light reappear so far over a few cold starts I realize that the problem may not be fixed. I understood that this was just the most likely cause of the problem and that's not Austin's fault. He did what I asked him to do and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Work was extremely overpriced and unprofessional with tape that was drooping on my heat shielding on my exhaust pipe at pick up and hanging wires I had to secure myself. Within a couple of days of picking it up, I had various electrical lights flashing I had never seen before. I called Carpenter's who offered to install MORE issues for more money. I brought it to the dealership who offered extremely pricey diagnostics and repairs worth more than what the vehicle was worth that would have just "undone Carpenter's damage". Contacted Carpenter's Campers management on this issue, they stone walled me and would not compromise for their damages without proof from dealership. All this with less than a week before my move across the country. I tried to contact a lawyer on short notice but ended up selling my previously perfectly drivable vehicle, with overpriced, DAMAGING work from Carpenter's Campers because I had to move, and I could not move this car safely cross country. Do not trust this dealership. They will damage your property with no shame.

Told me I needed a high pressure hose and he would order it. Called John on Friday August 27 and told me car would be ready by 2PM. I gave him leeway and told John I would be there by 3:30pm. John told me he gerryrigged pump with duct tape and told me it was drivable and he would call me to let me know when pressure hose arrived. ONCE AGAIN JOHN NEVER CALLED ME I HAD TO CALL HIM TODAY. John told me part was in but he didn't know when it would be installed and that if I didn't like it I could go somewhere else because he promised other customers that he would have their cars repaired. The service that I just had was to replace all of my Ignition Coils and Sparkplugs. They even put an additive in my Transmission Converter "just in case" at no charge. I had had my tranny fluid changed a few months ago and I mentioned a shudder under fast acceleration. They addressed the two possibilities. The Coils and Plugs were original to 2001 but had only 70,000 miles of wear on them. I made the decision it was time to update the parts to new. Much smoother ride and no more shudder.
