Do not buy or rely on Mr. Wheel Chair. We paid good money for install with 1 year warranty (extra year added for cash payment.) Sloppy hurried install. Months later stops working. Called for service. Three days later he no shows for appointment "flat tire waiting for Triple A" this went on all day. Never came. Called repeatedly eventually no answer, no return calls, nothing. This stair guide being down meant frail elderly crawling up stairs...the cover was attached with tape. Buyer be ware. I am heartbroken that this company promised a group of disabled adults a ramp for their stage show and never came through to help them. This special group of different abilities practiced for 4 years to put on a play. We needed a ramp so our adults with wheelchairs and walkers can get on stage. This company promised to provide a ramp and cancelled several times after scheduling appointments to come out to help. He was also going to charge A LOT more than the other companies,, but we were in bind. Now he simply is not returning our phone calls- leaving our actors without access. It is heartbreaking that a company could do this to anyone, let alone a group of disabled people excited to finally perform after 4 years! This is a terrible business. My mother has been waiting for her installation for over 3 months. I understand there's a pandemic but this is ridiculous. They reschedule after not showing up at all and then don't show up for the appointment AGAIN! This has happened 6 times over the last month. The installer took the charging cord by accident. We called him a dozen times and we were told "I'll drop it off tomorrow". Needless to say we had to buy another charger. He STILL hasn't dropped it off. Unreal. I used to Mr. Wheelchair to put in a ramp for my wife. However, it was a little bit ago. The boss said he would be back to finish putting on the caps at the end of the railing. I haven't seen him yet and it's no big deal, it's only a black plastic cap. I will give them a call one of these days anyway the three people that installed the ramp did a very good job. Met Mike S. Of Mr. Wheelchair July 2022, placed an Scooter and Scooter Ramp order with $1200 down payment. Mike refused to contact me on the order status. The PA. Attorney General office received my complaint in October 2022. Within a week, Mike provided me with my Scooter and ramp. I'm concern with the warranty coverage. I used this place 3 times because I really needed my wheelchair repaired. The first two times he took my payment but took forever to get my wheelchair back. The third and last time I used him, my wheelchair was too old for repair, so he sold me a used one supposedly in good condition, the footplates were terrible and said he'll order me new ones but he never did, the wheelchair was in terrible condition and it felt like it was going to fall apart as I was using it; and of course he took the payment for the wheelchair and took forever to bring it to me. Then after two to three weeks of using the wheelchair, it broke and was unusable; I called him 100 times to comes and repair it and he'll say he'll come that afternoon and would never show up, then the next day he would have a poor excuse of his truck not working. He never brought me the footplates and never came back to repair the crappy wheelchair he sold me. Mr Wheelchair is not a reliable place. Especially when you solely depend on them for equipment to help elderly man to be more mobile and to get around. My boss and I have been dealing with Mr Wheelchair for almost three years now. We brought multiple things from them, including a motorized wheelchair, a electrical Hoyer lift, and a few other things. Having theses items and trying to maintain them have been nothing but a headache when having to rely on Mr Wheelchair for the parts or items to keep them working. They tell you one thing, and then start giving you a run around, not to mention its not like their prices are all that reasonable. I should have written a review a long time ago, but always forget until its times to deal with them again. What made me write this review tonight is that, we been waiting since Tuesday for a new charger station to the hoyer lift. We called Tuesday morning and told what was needed, and was told they had it in the store. Went in Tuesday afternoon, paid $150 for something that looked like the right thing, but once we got home found out, our cords don't work for the one they gave us. Not to mention you would think for $150, the charger station would come with its own cords and own parts, but it didn't. Once I called Mr Wheelchair and told them it was the wrong thing he said stop in the next day and he would swap them out. So we go again Wednesday, now they tell us its at their Warehouse and they forgot to get it, so they will deliver it Thursday. Thursday comes around we don't hear from them at all, like not at all, about nothing. I called Thursday afternoon around 3pm, got no answer and left a message. Friday, still no call in reference to my message I left, so i call them in the morning, Mike at Mr Wheelchair says he expects to have it in at 1pm. Time flys and 3pm arrives, I haven't heard from them so I call Mr Wheelchair, now Mike the owner tells me, he will have it tomorrow, on Saturday and that he closes at 12. Not once did they ever apologize for the inconvenience, not once do they offer something to get us by until we receive what we paid for, and make matters worst, he didn't even offer to deliver it, like they said they would on Thursday. This is literally what we go through every single time we need something for our wheelchairs, or scooters, or the hoyer lift. We had no choice but to deal with them all these years because we don't know another place nearby that we could do business with, but now I think we found one in Bensalem. The whole fact of the matter is Mr Wheelchair is not reliable. You can't depend on them. We solely rely on their equipments to get a 80 year old, disabled, and 200 pounds guy from one place to another. If we have equipments that don't work and we can't get the necessary replacement parts for something in a timely fashion, then it leaves us having to lift a very heavy man, with no help. It has been very stressful and frustrating dealing with Mr Wheelchair and knowing that basically he simply doesn't care about his customers or what they have to go through or deal with while they drag their free on things you need, and paid for. read more

Slimy as heck! Since July, we've tried to get him to come out to my Grandmother's and take his broken-down wheelchair back. January rolls around, and he finally gets to it. Long story short, he got real nasty with my family and said he was going to drive back to her house and leave the wheelchair on her front stoop! This was Friday night, and when it seemed as though he was just threatening us, we sighed in relief. Set it all up inside. -His price on the chair itself was better than any on the world wide web. And that's even before the set-up, which he provided complimentary but other sellers charge additional for. -He has a James Bond lab where he customizes wheel chairs to people's need. Very impressive. -The experience I had and the man I dealt with are unlike the negative reviews here. He is a small business, so understand that. I have a child very recently in a wheelchair and very recently moved to Philly. I was strung along for almost 4 weeks while he kept telling me her parts were "on the truck". Just trying to inform the public of the character of this store. We went there to get a jazzy repaired. I called twice and spoke to a woman that said it was free estimate. When we got there the man said it was 90.00 dollars and if you get it fixed there it would go toward the bill. He was tired of free estimates and then they go some where else for repair. I started to tell him i was not paying money when it was free estimate and he went crazy. He asked my weight and when i told him he said I needed a bigger scooter. Funny he never even saw the jazzy as it was still in my car. I told him I would buy a wheelchair from EZ Lite Cruiser ® Deluxe DX12 or Geo Cruiser lightweight power chair then and he told us that they were lying to people to get them to buy there product and they break easy. He wanted us to buy from him. Well he told us to get the hell out of his store as he didn't want or need my business. He never saw jazzy and I wouldn't buy from him so we were done talking. Ordered a set of 2 wheels for my wife's power wheelchair. This guy says it will be in about 3 days. This date passes, no phone call, no contact. Called to find out what is going on, got the reply that he got the wrong size. Tried calling again a few days later, wheels not in yet. Waited another week, this guy says they are in and to come and pick them up. I arrive at store only to be told they are in his truck and his driver will deliver them to my home. Waited all day, still no wheels. Don't know what this guy's problem is but I'm sure he doesn't have them in stock for me and I cancelled my order at that point. I agree with Meridith W. Mike, whom I assume the sole owner, and employee of this business, is a sleazy, slimy, unreliable creep. My husband had a stroke and was in rehab. We were informed 3 days in advance that his insurance would no longer cover his stay and he would have to come home. Surprise! We thought we had 2 more weeks. We needed grab bars all over the house. I was in a panic because of the unexpected short time frame. The first medical supply company that I found in the internet didn't sell or install grab bars, but recommended Mr Wheelchair. Called him; he came that same evening at 7:30 pm to measure. (I'm thinking good service, right?) After all, this was sort of an emergency, since we unexpectedly only had a few days. Said he could install next day. No show next day. No return of many phone calls. Got him live after a few days. His excuse was that he'd had a car accident, but he was ok. (Oh, really? Unfortunately Yelp doesn't have a ZERO star rating. I had an incident with Mr. Wheelchair over a year ago and am still so furious I had to write about it. My girlfriend needed a new caster wheel for her wheelchair. I could have ordered it online but someone at Mr. Wheelchair assured me they would have it the next day, no problem. My girlfriend would have to miss work, but just one day would be ok. Two days go by. Every time I call he kept saying, the next day. When it finally came, it was the WRONG one. I had to rent a car, yet again, to drive over and return it. Mr. Wheelchair broke promise after promise, and my girlfriend had to miss a week of work because this totally incompetent, unsympathetic hack who clearly did not know what he was doing, or care. After this needlessly drawn out process it would have been much quicker (and about the same price) to just order online.
