Great Grilled meat here, especially the lamb chops!
    Cindy L.

This is our weekly go to whenever we don't want to cook but still want a healthy meal. Also the place to get great BBQ when the weather is too cold to fire up the grill ourselves. I highly recommend their schwarma and wraps, but their grilled menu items are always satisfying. My fave is their delicious lamb chops ...big tender flavourful lamb! Their bread is made fresh and hummus is great too. Generally this joint is a busy place and it's because the people is nice and food is consistently good. The portion sizes are also quite generous so it's unlikely you'll get hungry here. It continues to be our go to takeout joint. Not on their takeout sheet but if you want you can get chicken or beef schwarma on the rocks to save a few bucks (then it doesn't come with salad).

Always fresh. Always generous portions and always friendly staff. It's become my default place to goto when I'm craving Sharama and times when I can't decide what to eat . Can't go wrong with this place .

Very yummy food. Got chicken on the rocks ($7+tax for students and $10+tax otherwise), comes with parboiled rice or couscous and little chicken pieces on top with a creamy sauce and hot sauce. A bit oily but it's comforting. The sauce is very flavourful.

Other than the chicken and beef shawarma I haven't tried anything else at this place. Been here a few times and same story every time. Amazing shawarma anyway you go, Plate wrap or pita. Only issue is the service. They don't seem to care about the customer. They always talk between themselves in a different language and never smile. Plates can use some extra cleanim Update. Came back to this location decided to give it another go. Changed my review from 3 star to 1 star due to their racist service. I don't support these time of places and you shouldn't either.

Bar none the best shawarma in York Region. Great service and amazing portion sizes with a very good price! The shawarma is the star here, highly recommended! Shawarma being mixed in a bowl plus the fresh wrap is what puts this place over the top. Their line "best shawarma in town" is 100 percent true. Much better than the shawarma offerings located around the area! Also, their dinner plates are both massive and delicious.

The restaurant is in a plaza that has plenty of parking. The restaurant was clean which is rare if you have been to many shawarma joints . I had to wait a few minutes for my chicken shawarma because they were making the bread and chicken fresh, and I don't mind waiting if my food is being made fresh, so that was also pretty awesome! They pack it with a lot of meat! They are not stingy at all, so if you want something meaty and hearty, but not break the bank I suggest you try this place. The young guy working there said they do delivery for orders $30+ before tax and there is a $3 delivery charge. I know it is only $3, but if you are going to tell a customer to order a curtain amount to receive delivery then a delivery charged shouldn't be applied. This seems to be a "dude" spot. I was the only girl there, and the guy just kept coming in and out the place for their meat fix.

Loved it. So amazing. Absolutely the best Shawarma in the GTA. This is my new favourite place. Dinner for 2 could serve 4.

mixed beef & chicken plate on rice & couscous

Fast, fresh, cheap and BIG. The Mr. Zagros shawarma plates are a great option for a simple, delicious quick meal option. You get a small platter and choose 3 salad options, a carb option between couscous or white rice, a couple garlic potatoes, and a blanket of warm fresh shawarma over your rice/couscous. I like to get my sauces drizzled right over the meat so I can just sit and go to town at the food without needing to dip. For $13-14, you really can't complain. The fresh warm laffa bread is a nice accompaniment.

Looks like a lot, but the fries were skimpy for $17 a plate (there under the meat)

Very cold food. Probably the worst shawarma I've had. Didn't taste good. And the girls working there talk to each other the whole time.

The hummus with mushroom was also very unique, it tasted very earthy and balanced the pita very well, providing some chew and meatiness to the dish. The pide was also very nice and crispy, and you can taste each ingredient separately on the pide yet it all melds together with the fragrant spices combine it all. The server was from Turkey and he had a bit of an accent which made me think the food would be a little more authentic. On the recommendation of the server I got the Cokertme Kebab. It doesn't quite look like it does in the menu picture but it was really good. The beef strips were well seasoned and tender. The yogurt complimented the beef very well and the chips added good texture. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Even amid a busy dinner rush, they were quick to greet us and seat our family without difficulty. That level of hospitality goes a long way, especially when you're traveling with hungry kids! I chose the Mixed Beef and Chicken Doner, and it hit all the right notes. The beef was wonderfully seasoned, with a subtle sear that provided depth to each bite, and the chicken was moist and soft. It was a big, satisfying supper served with fluffy rice, fresh salad, and warm bread that reminded me of meals I had in other countries. My wife and kids ordered the Chicken Adana Kebab, and they were equally impressed. The skewers were grilled to perfection, with just the proper amount of heat, and the serving sizes were large. Our server ensured that the spice level was appropriate for children while maintaining the flavor. We couldn't resist eating the Tres Leches dessert, and it was the ideal way to cap the lunch. It was moist, creamy, and just the right amount of sweet, making it one of the greatest we'd ever eaten, Turkish restaurant or not. Mama Fatma Turkish Cuisine has earned a spot on our go-to list for family dinners thanks to its outstanding service, delectable cuisine, and clean, pleasant ambiance. Highly recommended for those looking for genuine Turkish cuisine with a touch of warm friendliness!

It's like a sampler plate that includes a variety of their signature dishes, allowing you to sample a little bit of everything. Personally, I found the portion to be generous enough for 3-4 people, unless you have very good appetites or are prepared to take home leftovers. Their kebabs are bursting with flavor. They grill them with lamb oil or lamb fat to enhance the taste. The beef doner and chicken were tender, juicy, and well-marinated, while the lamb chops were perfectly cooked. The mini pides looked cute. As for drinks, I tried the Doğanay Şalgam. This salty turnip juice has a unique flavor profile; it was quite an interesting experience for me as I had never tried salty juices before. In fact, it's the kind of taste you might find yourself becoming obsessed with. Although the restaurant is located in an ordinary plaza, the interior is spacious and decorated in authentic Turkish style. The staff were friendly and patient, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. If you are seeking an authentic taste of Turkey I'd recommend this restaurant. The plate had a good variety of meats and no BS (unlike some other restaurants that throw fries on the plate and call it 'delicacy'). They also didn't dip everything into lamb oil to "enhance" the flavour - you could actually taste the meat itself. The beef was soft, the chicken was juicy, and the lamb was tender. Great place for Turkish food…read more We came here in a weekday morning for brunch and was pleasantly surprised by just how much food was available. We were all provided with complimentary bread and tea, and ordered the mix kebab platter for two, and the authentic Turkish village breakfast platter for two. The meal was phenomenal, and the spread was generous. The breakfast included an assortment of different sides & dips such as, olives, cheese, salads, butter, honey, jams, tahini, etc. we dipped it with the pide, bread, fries, roll borek. It even had a lovely sujuk with eggs. The mix kebab had lamb, chicken, wings, meatballs, doner, with rice, bread and salad. I'm conflicted because the food and service were great so I can't be complain about any of that. I came with 2 friends and we wanted a variety so we settled on the mix grill platter. The menu options only offer a 2 and 4 person platter, but our server told us they could make one geared for 3 people so we decided to go with that. It came with a salad and fresh bread to share. The meats were tender and juicy. Everything was really flavourful. I enjoyed the food. The server was also really helpful with answering any questions we had. But the bill came and I was shocked. It came out to $59.99 per person after tax and tip to split the platter 3 ways. Quality was pretty decent but the portioning of it does not justify the price. Next time if I were to return, I'd probably just get my own dish... the platters present that "wow" favour but they're pricey. I get that there's quite a bit of protein but there are other things I'd rather get for that hefty price tag. I don't think it would be fair to leave a lower rating solely due to the value aspect because the food was yummy and all other factors such as environment and service were satisfactory... but for me the value weighs heavy in my priorities and I feel the cost of the platter is too high, as good as it is.
