Mr Bones used to be a lot more fun. My boys look forward to the hay maze every year because it has cool secret rooms (nooks). They used to play in there most of our visit. This year, the hay "maze" is a tunnel. It is boring and disappointing. Mr Bones has turned into an experience catered only to social media photo ops and toddlers. The prices are way too high and the "pumpkin bucks" should be able to go towards wrist bands and/or tickets as well, not just pumpkins. They are charging $30 per wristband (on top of admission!) for a parking lot pumpkin patch - 2 bouncy houses, 2 slides, a sad hay tunnel, and a tiny petting zoo. I could see that price for a carnival, but not this. We are definitely disappointed. read more

Don't get me wrong I love me a good pumpkin patch and I appreciate it's a seasonal business. However I cannot help but feel nickel and dimmed to death at this patch. $5 Self Parking /$10 "valet" $40 entry fee (2 adults and 2 kids under 8) X $10 each person $60 wristbands (2 kids X $30 each) $60 pumpkins (3 small pumpkins and 2 small gourds) $165 total for an hour in a pumpkin patch that didn't even have all the "attractions" open like musical stage and none of their misc games and tents. Only things open were the extra cost like face painting etc...This patch basically had a bunch of sad jumpy houses running and that's about it. Not to mention there was poop INSIDE the hay maze....yes sh*t! where kids crawl around...I know cuz my kid stepped in it and had to clean him! Not sure if it was from a human or animal either way, pretty f#@K'n disgusting and upsetting! This just fells like it was a giant money grab and willing to take full advantage $$ of you at every opportunity. Pretty big disappointment if you ask me. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time and/or money at this pumpkin patch. Young kids will like it. A couple jumpers, inflatable slides, face painting a petting zoo all the stuff little kids like they got it here and will have some fun. Adults may feel violated. Admission $15-20.00 (or more with VIP) Parking 10-20 bucks. There is street parking for free. However if you buy a pumpkin you got to haul it back to your car. When you enter into the patch they give you 5.00 in tickets for kids for the attractions and 5.00 each for adults to go towards a pumpkin purchase. Really nice hun ? But keep in mind you still just dropped 5-15 dollars just to walk in to a pumpkin patch. Here is a break down of those costs. 1 dollar per ticket and the attractions all cost 1- 12 dollars/tickets. Maybe more we did not check everything out. Inflatable slide: 1 dollar - per slide Bounce house: 4 dollars - per 5 min The Maze: 4 dollars The maze is a joke of an attraction It is an area of hay bails that are stacked two bails high in a pyramid type shape and kids climb on top and crawl through a tunnel in the middle. It's very head scratching in how they call this a maze when it is not. Pumpkin decorating- 12 dollars The pumpkin selection was good they have a good variety and are priced well until you realize you dropped 10-20 bucks just to walk in the place. In conclusion there is nothing really special about this place that other local patches don't offer and at a better cost. This place was the biggest bummer. We spent more time trying to park then actually in the place. We got a photo or two and that was it. We spent less than 30 minutes in the place and for the price of everything it was such a waste. Had high hopes but was majorly let down. I was disappointed that o reached out after our experience and they basically said too bad. I came here 3 years ago. It was a wonderful experience. I was excited to take my sister for her first time on Tuesday. Unfortunately, not the same experience. We brought the kids. They wanted to jump, therefore we bought tickets. One of my kid was afraid to slide. I had already paid for his slide turn so I told my other kid to just take his turn. Jocelyn the worker ask me for another ticket. I let her know that we already paid. She said it didn't matter as the ticket was for the other kid.I let her know that he was not sliding. This place was a rip off! I will never come back to this place again lol. I spent $40 on entry for 2 adults and 1 toddler. I used the FEVER app to purchase tickets in advance and they charged me a $10.50 service fee for purchasing on their app on top of $10 per person. Parking was not free. We decided to purchase the "valet" parking for $15, which wasn't even really valet because no one was there to park our car. It's just closer to the entrance. I had to purchase $22 worth of tickets so that my 2 toddlers can enter the jumpers, a maze, and a petting zoo. The maze wasn't even a maze, lol it was hay stacked on top of each other, with a tunnel underneath. Boring! This was waste of time and money. I was ready to go and we only spent an hour there. I went to Mr. Bones Pumkin Patch this past Monday. It sucked. The place was pretty dead. There were lots of things for a photo-op, some bouncy houses, lots of pumpkins, and a petting zoo, but that's pretty much it. The place appeared to be geared specifically towards kids. There was also some merch, but it didn't look that great. I ended up only leaving with two mini-white pumpkins and that's it. The place might have a better atmosphere on the weekend and have more things to do for adults then. This said, I would not go back, and would not recommend anyone go out of there way to check out this patch. read more

I can't say we'll return to Mr. Bones. As others have said, it is very pricey despite being largely the same as many other pumpkin patches in the area and it has some features that make it rather unpleasant. For comparison, a similar patch we've gone to in past years is the Acosta Pumpkin Patch at the South Bay Galleria. Both are set up in parking lots (a mall versus a community college) and have pumpkins, bouncy toys, some hay bales to sit on, a petting zoo, and face painting. The main ways that Mr. Bones was better in my view were (1) they have nice wagons to collect pumpkins and (2) they have cute pumpkin houses that make for nice pictures and places for the kids to play. By comparison, Acosta has more rides, bouncers, and nice big tents for shade, which is important since it can get really hot in a parking lot in October--even at 10 a.m. Acosta also has plenty of photo ops, although they're maybe a little less insta-worthy. But it has some that we like better--like a thing that let's you photograph your kid's height every year. Acosta also costs $5 for admission (versus $20 minimum per person at Mr. Bones) and has free parking (there's variable price parking at Mr. Bones--it was $10-25 when we were there). And we also don't encounter QUITE so much nickle and dime-ing! At Mr. Bones, I was wearing my infant daughter in a sling and was headed into the petting zoo so my toddler could pet four goats for $7.50. But the lady at the gate wouldn't let us in because I didn't have ANOTHER $7.50 in tickets for the BABY. The baby was sleeping in her sling, unaware there were even goats in her vicinity, but they said all kids, regardless of age, must have the tickets. So I had to wake up the baby and hand her over to my husband before I could take my son inside since a parent is required to accompany each kid. For a place that advertises itself as a woman-owned business, I thought this was a pretty insensitive policy. Who charges a baby to sleep near some goats? Also, I cannot even EXPLAIN the amount of paperwork that we had to fill out to get INTO Mr. Bones. After you pay their sky high admission, they make you fill out forms for every member of your party. (I understand that they're trying to avoid getting sued, but these overbroad liability waivers are almost certainly unenforceable as written, and they take forever to fill out.) I kid you not when I say that I had ELEVEN emails from them after purchasing our tickets, getting the multiple liability waivers, confirming my email for every single form. At the patch, this process creates a MASSIVELY long line in the sun as people are standing there trying to sort through all of these worthless emails and forms. And you can't even avoid the line by buying your tickets online ahead of time and filling out your nonsense liability forms in advance. There's just one line for everyone to get in. Oh, except apparently if you want to pay $70 per person (seriously!) for VIP access to the patch. And getting there early will not save you. We arrived within 10 minutes of opening and still had a long wait. So, let me put aside the really high prices, which I would be willing to tolerate for a once-a-year activity. The main downside is that the silly-long line at the entrance + the lack of shade once you're inside just makes the visit pretty unpleasant. The kiddos were pretty much wilted right after we arrived and were not interested in playing, taking pictures, or even hunting for the perfect pumpkin for very long. This--not the money--is what made the visit really not worth it. So I think we'll go back to Acosta next year or keep looking at other options. I've heard Tanaka Farms in Irvine is also good. Mr. Bones has potential but, as it is now, it is not for us. Hope this helps other families as they are looking for a good pumpkin patch experience in LA! read more

This is the most overpriced, boring, and strict kids attraction or activity I have ever been to. Parking is pricey, entrance fee is pricey, and there are barely any activities for kids. No train, no rides, one slide that has extremely strict and honestly unreasonable rules. Try Shawn's or any other patch, where parking and entrance is free and there are plenty of activities despite being smaller. Mr. Bones is overrated and too expensive. Granted, it's been two years since I've been there. If you don't buy your tickets online, the tickets are about $30 per person. You have to pay for parking and when you get inside, you have limited number of tickets for your kids to play in the jumpers. After the few tickets you have to pay. The cost of three people is approximately the cost of one person going to Disneyland. You might spend an hour there. Disneyland is an all day thing. Mr. Bones only offered porty potties. Disneyland offers clean bathrooms. I was over this pumpkin patch so quick. The place is crowded because of influencers. Like the owners or who-ever needs to come back down to earth. read more

Bought the plus tickets for adults and kids and the staff does not know what's included and what's not. Checked in and they don't even check what kind of tickets you buy even though there is suppose to be expedited entry. Went to petting zoo and was turned away and we had to buy extra tickets. Told at plus tent we can skip the line to check out so we let the kids pick out a pumpkin and then told there was no different line so we had to get in the long line to check out. They give out bones bucks to some people and not others who spent hundreds of dollars for this plus ticket for their families. They have parking but it's 10 dollars for self parking and 20 for valet. Wagons were free for all so didn't need a plus ticket. I have emailed for a refund because there was no information area or person in charge to correct these discrepancies on site. Update- thank you for your fast response and refund. I do appreciate it and am glad there will be changes for others to enjoy this pumpkin patch. Let's start with the parking fee(hillside parking) the parking attendant was helpful. I waited in line with my daughter for a while. I was directed to the wrong line. I had to speak up that I would not wait in the other line when a employee suggested I get in the other line. This was the same employee that directed me to the wrong line. At this point I am annoyed. The person working the line helped me with that. I was given a few tickets for the long wait. I didn't use the tickets. I was shocked with a $30 total for my 3 year old and myself to enter. I was shocked with the paper work to enter. This location has many pumpkins, a petting zoo(didn't see many interesting animals) we skipped the this area so we could hold on to the wagon(first come first serve). We took photos and spent $50 (ice cream and Latin food) at two food trucks. I will not attend. I will visit Shawn's Pumpkin Patch I enjoyed that place last year. read more

First off, the admission price just to get in ($20.00 + service fees) was a bit steep. Then come to find out that parking ($12.00 + fees) was required. Festive set up when I entered the gates but nothing out of the ordinary. Every activity was at a cost and pumpkins were way overpriced. I went here on opening day on a Friday morning. Luckily, weekdays are free! This pumpkin patch is super cute with great photo opportunities that are Instagram worthy. Lots of families were here with their kids. I came here with my pup which he had a great time and lots of kids wanted to pet him. It looks like this patch is more catered towards paid activities for the kids rather than the purchasing actual pumpkins. I was in and out in about an hour. Be sure to wear closed toe shoes here. I've seen lots of people wear flip flops here and your feet will get super dirty. Also, be sure to use the restroom beforehand because the only restroom options are port a potties. People are doing little more than posing for pics, and about a third are teens and tweens here for their semi-seductive photo opps. Kinda hilarious minus the ppl traffic jams they create. The parking lots aren't yet lit (so beware after dark if you have kids with you), and for the evening of opening day, they were still doing setups. I'm from Pennsylvania where you would go to an actual farm and do a hayride out to the pumpkin patch and pick your pumpkins right off the vine. You could then go to the cafe and get pumpkin pie and cider. I took my husband there when we first met. Needless to say, Los Angeles doesn't have that experience. But I wanted to get pictures with my husband and dog and pumpkins and came across this pumpkin patch. Pros: Lots of sizes and color variants of pumpkins. Lots of areas for photo ops. Clean environment. $5 coupon per adult toward a pumpkin purchase. Allows dogs on leash or in a carrier. Cons: If you go when it is hot, bring cash for drinks and wear a hat. Not much shade.
