She went from crying non stop to eventually blooming into one of the loudest kids in the class. Ms Rachel - Your nurturing, kind, and patient approach has made you more than just a teacher; you're like a second mother to her! Your impressive educational background in early childhood education has undoubtedly contributed to our daughter's advanced skills in speaking and counting, well beyond her years. We feel as if our daughter is way ahead of the curve before kindergarten just at 3.5 years old! She was taught mandarin, how to count to 100, all shapes, letters, alphabet, simple addition and math, and so much more including music and nursery rhymes/songs as Ms Rachel plays piano and sings. But what sets you apart is your heart. You've created a warm, loving, and safe environment that has not only accelerated her learning but also helped her grow into a confident and caring individual. Thank you for being such a positive influence in our daughter's life. We feel fortunate to have you as her teacher. We will actually enroll our future children into her schools, we do not trust any other daycares!

She is kind, patient, extremely caring, and oh so sweet! She welcomed our daughter as if she was her own! It only took our daughter one week to get adjusted to drop offs in the morning and now says 'byeeee mommy' and walks right into the house without crying! The growth and learning we have seen from our daughter does not go unnoticed! She has learned so much - she knows her letters, numbers, colors, shapes, and songs (she's now 2.5 years, started at 21 months). We cannot thank Mrs. Rachel and her team for all they have done for our daughter and the other students! We would highly recommend them to any parents looking for a fun, caring, and reliable day care!

Most of the teachers; they are not only professionals, but actually are able to make an emotional connection. And kids can understand this and feel safe there. Also great value-wise - particularly with sibling discount and included lunch option. As parents, it is hard to give 5* to someone taking care of your kids; but if you set your expectations practically - they deserve the rating.

Our kids spent three years here, and it really became a special part of our family's life. The teachers and staff are warm, caring, and genuinely invested in the kids. Communication with parents was always excellent, and we consistently felt informed and connected to what was happening in the classroom. We also loved the focus on strong academics, creativity, and performing arts. The kids had so many opportunities to learn, build confidence, perform, and just have fun being kids. On top of all of that, it was incredibly convenient for our family. The school opens from 8am-5pm, and provides breakfast, lunch, and snack. This makes it very easy for working parents. We are very grateful for the years our kids spent here and for all the teachers and staff who helped make that time so memorable. We would wholeheartedly recommend this preschool to other families.

One of the things we loved most was the small group and the fact that children of different ages learn and play together. It creates such a warm, family-like environment and teaches children how to communicate, help each other, and be part of a little community. Because the group is small, the teachers are able to give each child plenty of individual attention. My son learned so much during his time here. He knows all his letters, can spell his name, count to 100, and so much more. We truly believe this is thanks to Kim and Amanda, who made learning fun and exciting. Most importantly, he absolutely loved them -- and they became very special people in his life. We are also incredibly grateful for how they prepared him for his transition to a new school. They talked to him about his new school in such a positive and exciting way, which made the transition so smooth and gentle for him. Thank you, Kim and Amanda, for these two wonderful years and for giving my son such a loving and happy start. We will always remember this place with so much warmth and gratitude.

We got off the waitlist a year later and our son was under their care from 8 months until 2 years old. Virginia provides a safe, loving, stimulating, Spanish immersion environment for the kids where they can thrive. We ultimately left because we moved, but I really wish we could have air lifted her daycare closer to us! A few things I loved that I think set her daycare apart from others: 1. Communication with parents - This is one of the things I liked best about Virginia's Daycare. She proactively communicates with parents and also partners with them to work on transitions and challenges together. For example, they did an amazing job prepping my son for his daycare transition after we moved. I also love that they use an app to allow parents (and in our case we also added grandparents) to see daily pictures and videos of their kids so they know what they did, what they ate, and when & how long they slept. 2. Program - At Virginia's the kids are exposed to a variety of activities during the day: yoga class, music class, arts and crafts projects, sensory play, yard care, reading, and educational toys. There's no shortage of development happening here! 3. Healthy, organic food - I've had my son at other daycares, and arrived to him smelling like chocolate or hearing older kids say they ate ice cream. Never at Virginia's. She deeply cares about making sure the kids eat a variety of healthy and organic food. 4. Outdoor time - A lot of other daycares spend just an hour in the morning and maybe half an hour in the afternoon outside. At Virginia's, kids spend lots of time outside, including having some meals outside and doing lots of play and sensory activities outside. 5. Sleep environment - Every other daycare I toured had either cots or pack n plays for kids to sleep in. Many times the same room where kids play serves dual purpose for kids to also sleep in. Virginia has a separate room with a comfortable sleeping environment with real cribs. Kids are then able to nap however much each of them need vs being forced to all be on the same schedule to flip the room for other purposes. In summary, I highly recommend Virginia's Home Daycare. We had the absolute best experience with her.

Aside from the amazing learning experience that Virginia and Carmen provide to kids, it is their loving nature that truly is unparalleled. As a parent, the most important thing is to know your children are cared for and loved and that they are growing and being challenged. Virginia's daycare is all of this and more. During this past, very challenging year, Virginia provided a safe space for our children while most other providers were closed or had problems staying open due to the pandemic. Our children's life did not change and for that we will forever be indebted to her and her family. If you are lucky enough to get a spot at Virginia's, don't hesitate. Your infant/toddler will learn, flourish and most importantly, feel secure and happy in Virginia's care.

It's a wonderful environment and would highly recommend especially around 1-3yo. We joined at a time when our daughter aged out of the infant group but was honestly still too young for the older classrooms at the center based schools. We were at multiple centers and decided to try home day care instead. Ana and her teachers really got to know our daughter and we truly could trust she was in great care. They prepare breakfast lunch and snacks every day which is so valuable for busy parents and amazing value included in the tuition. My daughter has learned so many songs, stories and words in Spanish. She was potty trained with no issues. The teachers come up with fun activities every day incorporating fun themes throughout the seasons. They post wonderful videos and photos on what's app which my daughter loved scrolling through with me any chance she had. It was a huge relief to find a place where she could develop trusted relationships with her teachers, play with kids around her age in a safe and engaging environment. Ana also hosts date nights, typically monthly, where she will watch the kids plus siblings for a few hours while parents can escape for much needed adult time.

I would say the one big thing that sets Happy Campers apart from other preschools/daycares are the amazing teachers. My son was 17 months when he started and is now 2.5. Initially we chose it because it's close to our house, took kids under 2 (they go as young as 3 months), and had spots open. Also, they don't let allergens in like nuts, seafood, and eggs. My son has a good amount of allergies so that was comforting. Price is average. I feel like our experience has been pretty much par the course for daycare. My son got sick (and us) all the time, cried for months and months at drop off, etc. I say this bc it was certainly hard for us, took some learnings, adjustments, and time to ultimately become comfortable. And, I think that would have been the case anywhere we would have chosen. Overall, I think it's a good environment for my kid. I like the teachers here, they're kind and good with communication. I appreciate their efforts and they care about my son. He also seems to enjoy playing with his classmates and is overall quite happy and engaged with the activities provided (art, story time, outside play 2x). I also think he learns a good amount and that maybe he could have only learned there because of some of those good old fashioned group norms. I also like the app they use called Brightwheel in which they share updates and pictures/videos of your kids' day. And, you can communicate in real time with the teachers which is a big plus. I think they also utilize the curriculum from Brightwheel. They offer parental involvement opportunities with the kids like doing Mystery Reader which is fun and rewarding. The only feedback I would suggest is that it would be nice if they had some sort of opt in parent directory. It feels like there is a bit of overkill with privacy which is appreciated, however I think may impede some of the joy in building community.

Holly was quick to respond to my million questions. She continues to thoughtfully respond to my emails whenever I have any questions or concerns. My son had "after school restraint" when adjusting to preschool. Holly sent a thoughtful email with multiple suggestions, linked with articles for further reading. It was super helpful. I am thankful for these interactions The school is located in a little house. It is warm, bright and welcoming. There is a separate room for pretend dramatic play, circle time, free play and academic time. The toys are on rotation so my kiddo is always excited to start the day with free play. The backyard is bright and open with lots of variety of toys, rides, sandboxes and caulk. The school is a great mix of play, academic, and arts and craft time. We were initially concerned about the mix age program but the academic time is catered to each age group and the needs of each individual child. I am pleasantly surprised that our son is learning his A, B, Cs and practicing cutting and gluing. By 5, the kids at the school are practicing writing their names!
