If I could give ZERO stars, I would! This place needs to hire more professional workers that don't misgender and disrespect CHILDREN that patronize their establishment! Purchased food from here (Butler, GA location) yesterday around 3 pm. My teen son (who is tall for his age) was waiting on our order with me when my mom (who placed the order) walked out to take the rest of the kids to the car. Next thing I know, once the food is ready, there is confusion between the cook (a female) and a coworker (also female) about who's order it was and then the cook POINTS to my son and and says it belongs to that "stud" right there. I looked in disbelief and confusion and my son quickly responds that he's not a "stud", which is a male presenting female for those who are not familiar with the term. Imagine calling a 14 yr old BOY a woman who clearly looks like a BOY! Needless to say, we get in the car and this interaction completely breaks him down as he's telling my mother about the incident and is now in TEARS! All because some random, unprofessional ADULT called a CHILD a name out of nowhere, unprovoked! If I had of been thinking and wasn't in complete shock, I would have asked for a refund and a manager! I will say the coworker told the cook that he was a boy and that the order belonged to us but by then, the damage had been done. This was supposed to be a fun quick trip for our family to spend some time together and visit Peach Lane. I would never spend my money here again and wouldnt encourage others too, either, especially with children present! They might get pointed at and misgenered to their face, too! Food wasnt even worth the disrespectful experience (nor the price) and the next time we travel through, we'll be sure to keep going! Do better!!! read more

Deep fried hamburgers... holy moly! The food is served fresh and hot. The fried chicken is very good and the hamburger is like nothing I have had before. It's a cross between a chicken fried steak sandwich and a burger. It is very good. Its is also big. Get a double at your own risk! The onion rings were spot on and the fries are good. This is a hole in the wall place in Butler that is worth the stop. Simple interior but clean and comfortable. The people are so nice and they were very attentive to our needs. Had to meet our daughter and son in law "half way" between Savannah and Birmingham and Butler, GA is about as close to half way as we could get. Never been there before and it was a Sunday so looking for a good lunch before we headed back in opposite directions. Read a few reviews on Ms Betty's and decided to try it. It's right on the town square. Great parking. Walked in and the staff was very welcoming. In a place like this they know you're not from around here but they still treated us like family. Took our time with the menu. Between the 5 of us we ordered a chicken sandwich, a breast plate, two orders of chicken fingers and an order of fried livers (my order). They took their time because they're literally cooking to order. Everything came out fresh and hot. Servings are generous and flavors are fantastic. They have a sign that they are the best fried chicken in Georgia or something like that and I believe it. My livers were outstanding. Perfectly cooked. Fries were very good. Prices are decent. But maybe my favorite part was the sweet staff. If I'm ever in Butler again I'll definitely revisit Ms Betty's. I want to try their battered and deep fried hamburger. And if you're there, enjoy! Good fried chicken at a reasonable price in a simple location on the NORTH side of the courthouse square in downtown Butler. I made multiple attempts to get Yelp to correct their location on the map to no avail. The fried chicken is simply prepared with a light crisp crust. The breast was not dry and my wife enjoyed her usual 2 fried legs. The fries are the wide kind (dinner fries I think they are called) and were ok. The roll was better than I thought it would be and I should have checked it out before I finished everything else because I would have pulled off some chicken and put it inside that roll. Or asked for some butter while it was still warm. You order at the little window on the left and in the back of the dining area. They bring your food out to you when it is ready. Seating is multiple simple tables and chairs in one big area up front. Service was good for what was involved with an order at the counter place. The banana pudding really was good. I could see where it would win an award. It had lots of vanilla wafers in it to go with the 3 on top (see the picture). Maybe next time I'll try that deep fried burger. read more

When I walked in the door, I was a bit skeptical just based on looks. Do not judge it by looks though! I ordered a 9pc and split it with my friend. Friendly staff, not sure what the person was talking about another review about the staff. Food came relatively fast, less than 10 minutes and was steaming hot and as fresh as fresh gets. The chicken had the perfect amount of breading on it as well as the perfect amount of seasoning. Salty but not nasty. Best steak fries I've ever had and I hate steak fries. Bonus points for the hot sauce being complimentary on the table. Great food, kind lady came to refill our drinks mid meal too. I disagree with this policy, what the businesses pay for customers using credit/debit cards is a part of doing business and should be absorbed by the business, not passed on to the customers in addition to a suggested tip. When I patronize a business that charges for using a card, a tip will not be added, let the business pay the staff out of the extra card fees. A tip is earned, not a requirement. read more

Amazing. We stopped in on a road trip after reading the reviews, and WOW, we are so glad that we did. The fried chicken was perfect, the coating was crunchy and not too greasy, and the sweet tea had just enough sugar. The best thing I can say about this place is the quantity. They pile the food on your plate. In fact you can order a burger and fries and easily split it with someone. I didn't care for the deep fried burger. I peeled the crust off. The waitress was a little rude about the half n half tea I ordered. Maybe she was just having a bad day.
