AMAZING cakes and customer service!! The owner, Ms. Mae is the kindest soul on this planet. She was able to fit me in for Memorial Day weekend for my son's birthday and I gave her the idea/vision I wanted and she totally overdelivered. The cake got lots of WOW's and it was too pretty to eat! The cake was delicious and everyone loved it. I'd say this is the first time that I've had my guests finish the cake! Let me tell you, Ms. Mae's way is definitely sweet!! Throughout all my correspondence and interactions, she does have the sweetest way about her! Not only were the cake and cupcakes delicious, she went above and beyond when she didn't have to. When she originally quoted me for the cake, I thanked her for her time and stated that it was a bit out of my price range; she did everything she could to accommodate me at my price point. (I don't normally post reviews but this is one of the few exceptions) We recently moved in Manteca from the bay and I was hoping to find a good baker in the area. I searched a lot of people on Yelp, read reviews and tbh i was still hesitant but I needed to get a birthday cake for my little boy so I did that leap of faith. THANK GOD I DID!!! I said it's a construction themed party and sent photos of my inspo. I got really busy, the day came and Amber sent me a picture of the cake. I was very surprised with the cake, it was so beautiful! Too beautiful!!! And it was sooo good too!!! It was on the sweeter side but i loved it! I probably finished almost half of it because I just couldn't resist! I am so happy I found Ms. Mae's :) I ordered a custom cake for my nephews baptism and it came out absolutely beautiful- exactly how I envisioned it. I did a vanilla cake with strawberry filling and buttercream frosting. Everyone was raving about how delicious and fresh the cake tasted. I would highly recommend and plan to use Ms. Mae again! I was looking for a local bakery to deliver a surprise sweet treat to encourage a family that lives in Manteca. Researched a few spots in the area and it seemed pretty limited. I checked out Ms. Mae's website and saw they had gift baskets described. So I messaged Ms. Mae's via yelp for details on what they could do. Received message reply super quick and then corresponded via email. Communication was super responsive and prompt and really made me feel confident in submitting an order. The owner went above and beyond expectation!!! The gift basket treats were so beautiful! I really just wanted something special to bring smiles to the faces of some really great people and so wasn't very specific with design requests. I trusted the owner to do what she does best and man, did she deliver! Loved the fact that Amber was able to accommodate our request at such a short notice, a week before my family came into town for a weekend vacation at Great Wolf Lodge. My good friend made me a beautiful small cake for the top and the bottom two tiers were empty. Mind you, the cake/cupcake stand was on a huge table filled with candy and a popcorn bar. It was wonderful, except for the fact that there were NO cupcakes. Angela didn't have the decency to call and let me know what was going on, we had to call her. I wish more than anything that after her being late it was worth it, but it wasn't. The cupcakes were burnt on the outside and uncooked on the inside. Over half of them didn't even raise over the edge of the cupcake cup. AND to top it all off, TWO DOZEN were missing. My cousin who greeted her at the wedding told her to not cash my check until she talked to me. Angela didn't even help them put the cupcakes on the stand. Going through the boxes to find which ones were presentable, my cousin and a few guests had to. I was on my honeymoon for a week and text her when I got back. She blamed her oven on everything. She then told me I wouldn't have even known there were TWO DOZEN MISSING had she not told me. She's right... I wouldn't have known. Probably because I shouldn't have to count a 15 dozen cupcake order on the day of my wedding and because they were burnt and uncooked, I had around 100 left over. She cashed my check even though she shouldn't have. We negotiated a refund price that she said she would put in the mail the next day. Two weeks later no check. I text her and asked if she planned on sending my refund, at least for the two dozen that were missing. She then said the night she put a cashiers check in the outgoing mail box it was broken in to and stolen. She then said she would show me proof of the fraud investigation.... which is yet to be seen. And even if that did happen, I never received a phone call or text saying my refund would be coming at a later date. It is now November 13th. Over a month after my wedding. I have no refund. I understand that sometimes ovens may not work right and cupcakes get burnt... but the way Angela conducts business is absolutely horrible. She is completely unprofessional. Not only was I disappointed in her business ethic but so are the 160 people who attended my wedding.
