Situated in a small town like Mt Barker, this is probably the only option for a pet store. I haven't seen any others during any of my visits here before anyway... The first thing I notice is that the store doesn't actually sell any pets. I didn't see any while I was in there anyway, and it's not that big that you'd miss anything that was there. I guess this really means it is a pet care centre rather than a pet store. It's something to ponder anyway. The prices of items were a little bit above what I'd expect if I was to go somewhere closer to the city. With that being said it's nowhere near as expensive as some of the pricier places that are "local" to me. The floor is carpeted unlike the bigger pet stores, so I assume your 4 legged friend is staying outside if you visit. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and they stock a good range of items. A small lovely little pet supplies shop, which has come in handy more than once for me. Like the time my husband forgot to pack the dog food for our weekend away. Thanks Mt Barker Pet Care! Mt Barker Pet Cares motto is presents for pets not pets as presents :) I love the rabbit cages they sell and their prices for dog worm tablets is cheaper then my vet sells them for. They have lots of toys for your pets and do allow dogs inside the store :) There are 2 other pets shops in Mt Barker that I know of but would only go to the one in the homemaker centre near Harvey Normans, Spotlight etc. They do sell pets, toys, cages and more :) I love the Mt. Barker Pet care shop and will continue shopping there :) read more
