Recently Poppy developed a rare cancer and has now passed away, we were inconsolable but comforted by how caring the team at Pet Universe were especially Dr Chris who took the time to call recently and see how we were doing and even sent flowers. In the surgeries, they always have someone monitoring the rabbits vitals as well as the vet doing the surgery and the ladies at the front desk talk to me about wonderful my bunnies are to play with (I don't care if they say this to everyone!). They call me as soon as surgery is over and are open nice and early and until 8 pm which is super convenient. I drive 40 mins to go to this vet rather than any local ones. Highly highly recommended for small animals. :)

Our dog also attended puppy pre school some years ago and the trainer was friendly. However, over the years we eventually had too much of poor veterinary services to go back. Firstly a vet harassing us that our dog was not purebred and was a "mutt". What kind of shit person skills do you have to have to say that about someone's family member? And not to mention the fact that purebred dogs are genetically more susceptible to problems given inbreeding. If people are handing you hundreds of dollars to perform a standard service, you think you could be pleasant and hold off on rude, pretentious comments. Secondly, when my dog was in to get her nails clipped, the vet or vet nurse came back out with her, angry that we had not warned she may try to bite. It's a dog. Dogs can get angry when you do things they don't like. I've known that since I was a child, and was shocked that someone supposedly trained to work with animals was too ignorant to realise a dog getting upset was a possibility when clipping their nails. Thirdly, several years ago my dog was bitten by a spider. We took her here with classic symptoms, showed the bite mark, and were told the two issues were not related. They would do bloodwork and fix the bite (or in their case, mystery mark) after. We are unsure if this blatantly incompetent judgement was due to us suggesting the connection, or because it meant they could squeeze more money out of us. As our dog was extremely ill, we looked for another vet. It's been a number of years since we found the Blackwood Vets. They aren't a chain like this place. The vets and vet nurses care so much about every animal that comes through their doors. I will never ever go to a chain vet again, and certainly not my local one. Vets who genuinely care about the animals they see are worth their weight in gold.

Mojo's own Shih Tzu's, so therefore knowing the breed & how to groom/clip/style them is a such a bonus. Having said that, every dog breed I've seen coming out from here all look & smell divine. Mojo's are not your ordinary groomers like so many salons or mobile groomers around. These guys are professional stylists & there's a HUGE difference between those other groomers & the styling grooming you get here. Both Marianne & Josh are both incredibly friendly, helpful lovely people & their love of dogs is SO very obvious. As an ex Persian cat Breeder/Groomer/Show person, I very highly recommend MOJO'S!!

I returned to Mojo's salon after waiting two and a half hours to find my poor dog had not been done at all, and told by the agitated groomer he would never groom the little dog ever again due to the dog's age. Why did he accept my last booking then? So upsetting! I was stunned! Loyalty as a compliant customer didn't count for anything. I have since found a lovely, patient, caring female groomer who does a wonderful groom in half the time and for 2/3 of Mojos' ever-increasing fees. Seriously, check out other groomers if you have a senior dog who needs care, otherwise you'll be sidelined.

Like kids who love their play group, our dogs have no time to kiss us goodbye before they go out to…read moreplay with the other puppies. We own two Lakeland Terriers who, to keep their coats looking like they should, need to be hand stripped. This is a time consuming and tedious process often not carried out by dog groomers. When we moved back to Adelaide on the hunt for a dog groomer, these guys were more than open to hand stripping and the groomer even called us to find out more info before we booked them in. When we arrived, they knew exactly who we were and introduced themselves to our dogs. They required vaccination certificates and took time to learn about their habits before introducing them to other dogs. I should let you know, hand stripping is done in stages because it takes so long and the dogs becomes restless. Therefore, in between grooming sessions, our dogs used the daycare facility. When we picked Jasper and Quin up, they were happy, perky and didn't seem at all distressed. The groomer came out to let us know how they went and we discussed a long term grooming plan. We've been back a couple of times since and simply can't fault them. Anywhere our dogs pull on their lead to get into must be fun for them. I am 100% comfortable leaving our dogs in their care.

It's covers everything from vaccinations to what you allow your dog to do and not to do (e.g tell off for barking or playing rough). The staff here are friendly and it's obvious they love their job. So enthusiastic and make a big fuss about your pooch when you walk in. Plenty of staff around all areas watching dogs at all times. You can even pop in during the day to check on your pup to see how he/she is going. It's a little pricey, but you are giving your dog a treat, it's great for socialising the and getting rid of energy. My dog is tired the whole next day just from playing with the other dogs. P.S the daycare also make cute montage videos of the dogs playing and upload it to the website and also take photos of the dogs around Xmas time and make little cards.

My family and I came and looked here for a puppy a couple of years ago, and I just wanted to take them all with me! We actually ended up getting a puppy from a friend elsewhere, but only because we needed a certain type of dog for our house and yard etc and Animal Welfare didn't have a suitable one at the time. But the animals all look as happy as they can be in this situation, fed, water, played with. But they just sit there waiting for homes. The work they do is great for cats and dogs who need to find homes, I just wish so many wouldn't end up here in the 1st place.

Pet Goods Direct really is a super store. The place is massive!! Needless to say there is a massive range of stock. The floor is plain concrete which seems to be a staple of pet stores these days. People tend to take their pets into the stores so that would make sense. One thing that makes my partner happy is that they don't sell cats or dogs. She is of the opinion that people should buy pets from breeders. Hey, it's an opinion, we all have them! What they DO stock are live birds, fish, rats and rabbits. Maybe other small animals if they have them in stock at the time. There are two big problems I have with this place. The first thing to mention is the pricing. Most items can be purchased cheaper elsewhere, and you don't even really need to shop around that hard to find the same item at a lower price. The other issue is the staff. If there are 3 people working when you walk in, I guarantee you every single one of them will ask you if you need help. This happens every time we walk in. Once is OK, twice is a bit irritating, three times is just plain annoying and feels pushy. I actually find it quite off putting. It seems like one of those irritating customer service policies businesses put in place that I absolutely hate. With that being said, the biggest thing I noticed about this place is the large range of cages. If you want a cage for anything you're sure to find it here. With the prices though, I'd make sure you couldn't get it elsewhere cheaper first.

WAY OVERPRICED!!! I would actually never buy anything from here because I know I can get it cheaper elsewhere. Pet shops already put a 100% mark up on their goods so it's just plain greedy to increase anymore. Pet barn and Pet stock are so much better for pricing. I was very disappointed to go in there the other day to find they have signs up in the store actually asking for breeders of cats and dogs to contact them ..... not a good policy in my book. Pet shops shouldn't sell pets full stop. I actually don't find the staff to be all that friendly either, just seem to be after the buck. For me I wouldn't bother going again, there are much better pet shops out there.

Either way, I have always enjoyed walking through pet shops and checking out all of the animals. Paws for Pets at Marden is small, but an enjoyable visit none the less. There really isn't anything super special about this pet store, other than it stocks most things you would need for your more common pets. They have a good range of pet 'accomodation' and some scratching posts for the kitties. I have tried them with my cats from time to time over the years, but I think they are snobs because they seem to prefer micro fibre suede or leather between their claws rather than tightly wound rope......bloody stuck up cats!

I decided he was a rapper, and described his 99 problems. My daughter took a different approach and discussed tea parties with him as if he was Princess Kate. It was a sad day when 'Kid Cudi' was purchased. I hope his owners are taking good care of him. This pet store always has cute puppies or kittens to fawn over when I'm grabbing some cat food, and they have a loyalty card program so my tenth bag of cat nosh is free.
