This place is really good if you need a last minute place to go to. The price for my nails was a bit steeper than I expected. Maybe due to the multiple colors or just the time used on it. The technician I had was pretty good and nice. One of the main issues I had though is that their colors are really limited. I wanted a more rainbow color, but their red wasn't quite the correct shade. The green was a bit brighter than I wanted, the blue wasn't bright enough and the purple was too light. So if it's something to improve, I definitely suggest in investing in more colors. The technician also doesn't seem to have a forte in nail design as strokes are clearly uneven. The second issue was just a bit strange as they really push for cash/venmo payments. Then when you pay via Venmo, the owner (or the man who I thought was the owner) told me not to list the reason for payment as their service. Tax evasion? So vibe wise, it's good for a quick job needing to be done. But I think I'd still rather prefer Flamingo in Walnut Creek. read more

Recently visited with my grandmother to get two gel mani pedis and I have to say, the service was great! The workers are very kind and understanding. The woman doing my nails, after I changed my mind on the color, made a suggestion that I ended up really liking and they were very accommodating to my grandmother who changed her mind twice about what she wanted. The nails themselves were adequate! The cleanup on my nails was very well done and they did an amazing job with the shape on my grandmother's. The only bad thing I can say is that it took a long time to do the dip powder for her fingernails, but I expected it to be a while anyways. Overall would recommend this place to anyone looking for a place to get a simple, clean design with good service. read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]I've been coming to this salon for almost two years, but after my most recent experience, I can no longer support this business.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] On Wednesday, 6/11, I came in for a full set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The manager asked if I wanted Gel-X or acrylic (I usually get acrylic), so I asked about the difference. She explained that Gel-X was better, longer-lasting (2-3 weeks), and healthier for the nails, so I decided to try it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Just a few days later, one of my nails broke. After returning from a trip, I went back to have it repaired. The initial full set cost me $60 plus a $10 tip. The repair was $10, and I left a $2 tip. By the end of that week, more nails began lifting and falling off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]On Sunday, 6/22, I called to explain that my nails were coming off less than two weeks after my appointment. I asked if I'd be charged to fix them, but was told just to come in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] When I went back, I showed them the damage, including the nail that had just been repaired, which was already cracked and lifting again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At that point, they explained that Gel-X is thinner than acrylic. I wasn't told this originally--if I had known, I would've stuck with acrylic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The technician then asked if I wanted to switch to acrylic, and I agreed, assuming this would be a courtesy fix given the poor quality of the Gel-X set. But in the end, I was charged full price for a new full set. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I paid, but later called the salon because I felt that wasn't right. I reminded the manager that I came in on 6/11, and she even questioned if I was sure about the date, which only added to my frustration.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In total, I spent $142 in under two weeks on a full set and a fix. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Instead of taking accountability, the manager blamed me, saying maybe I use my hands too much.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I've been a loyal client for nearly two years and have never had issues like this before.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In the end, she only offered to refund the $10 repair--not the full set that didn't hold up--and asked if that was okay. I told her it wasn't. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I left feeling dismissed and taken advantage of. It's disappointing when a business doesn't stand behind its work or take responsibility for a poor experience. They use a little device to buff nails and they caught my cuticle a couple of times. The color selection was dismal, mind you- I typically choose similar shades, but I like options! They didn't seem to feel my tip was sufficient, when I said thank you and headed to leave, they were yelling over my head- no direct response to me. I won't be returning. read more

Since the change in ownership I have noticed many changes for the better! I'm amazed at how many different types of gels, powders, dips, glitters and colors there are to choose from now! My favorite part is they offer a huge selection of gel colors with the matching regular nail polish. I need to have the gel on my fingernails but get regular on my toes. Went last week, they did not sanitize properly, use plastic liners but only since metal plug, did not use new nail file or the foam thing they put between toes. Hurt the woman next to me when trimming cuticle, she did not even do paint, another wonan left early complaining about their nails. After the non-sanitary service, my nails are chipping in less than 1 week. I have had pedicures for over 30 years and this is a first. By far the worst pedicure ever. Will not be going back, just hope I do not pick up toenail fungus from the visit. read more

I'm updating my review from 5 stars to 2 starts, because unfortunately the artist who used to do acrylics so well has left (see old picture for reference). Since she's been gone I've tried two new acrylic artists at this salon and each time it's been disappointing. Each artist has been very polite, and the design has been good, but the quality foundation is not there. There's been chipping before week 2 and tons of lifting around the nail. The most recent artist admitted she's only been doing acrylic nails for 2 months and had to keep redoing things so it took 2 hours to do....Had to go to a new salon after all my nails were lifting and pay for a brand new set because they had lifted so much that a fill was off the table. read more

My boyfriend & I usually love coming for mani/pedis. My boyfriend's mani/pedi was great; but yesterday was not such a great experience for me. My gel pedicure was fine, but my manicure was a little bit of a different story. Long story short, by the time I went to pay, my index finger's cuticle was bleeding. I was kind of sad. & less than 12 hours later, I already have a chip on my thumb. I'm kind of disappointed because I love the whole staff here! All the ladies here are super nice!!
