I've been to True Sugaring a few times and always had a great experience. I get the sugar Brazilian regularly. The rooms are consistently clean which is important to me. Prices are reasonable and affordable. Each staff member has been sweet and easy to talk to when you are in a vulnerable position lol. You almost become friends by the end of the session! I'm currently 37 weeks pregnant and got my last Brazilian before baby with Shayla. She led me to write this review because she was incredibly sweet, gentle, and made sure I felt comfortable since pregnancy can make you more sensitive than usual. Also, she was able to lift the bed up so I wasn't laying down flat the whole session which made it much more comfortable for me and baby. Great ambiance and customer service, worst sugaring experience of my life. Got a very large cut on my labia majora. Rae did my Brazilian sugaring and it had been a long time so I did have more than hair than normal. She was incredibly sweet and kind, but her technique was rushed and was using very large strips. This is in contrast to other estheticians who use many small strips. This meant she was not terribly precise and covering a lot of surface area that doesn't normally grow hair. She gave me a fairly large cut on the inner part of my labia majora (aka the mucus membrane part that doesn't have hair on it). It wasn't even near the border of hair where you might expect a bit of accidental ripping. Maybe she was just having a bad day and she's normally more precise or maybe she isn't particularly good at sugaring. I'm just not sure. She did help me apply neosporin and she was super apologetic. She is clearly a very sweet person and that did help make me feel better. The place was decorated super cutely for the holidays and they had free candy and I loved that part. I would have given the place five stars because everyone was welcoming and the experience was impeccable but the actual sugaring was rushed and cut me pretty bad. read more

Business moving in the right direction, strongly recommend giving them a try. I am a solid advocate for the sugar waxing process and this is the only location that seems to care about appearance and quality. Sugar waxing doesn't tear on your skin the way hard wax does.. and the most impressive piece is that sugar lasts far longer than hard waxing! They really make you feel welcome and seem to be genuinely happy to see you! Love the complimentary teas they offer while you are waiting too, wonderfully warm touch through the chilly months! Booking appointments in advance is highly recommended, but on occasion I have lucked up with same day squeeze-in or changed to an earlier time in the day to save me a little time later. My New Sugaring Spot in the Bay Area! With the Bay Area limited on estheticians who do sugar waxings and the ones that do have horrible customer service and availability, I decided to book with True Sugar & Skincare. Booking is fairly easy on their site. They send reminder text messages and emails leading up to your appointment and also have a text message check in system when arriving. They do ask for your card information as a security deposit to book your appointment. It is a very clean atmosphere (smells great and love their music) and the staff is very professional and friendly. I booked a Brazilian sugaring appointment with Maya and boy was she amazing! She really got to know me personally while waxing to keep me calm and not thinking about the pain. She also recommended me some of their homemade natural products (Lavender Healing Oil Balm) to help make future waxings less painful in the future. We also discussed a reasonable schedule for me based on hair growth. Once completed, I checked out and also was able to book my next appointment and add additional services. When you book additional services they do require a 50% deposit since its considered a big service. Totally recommend this spot for all your Sugaring & Skincare needs. read more
