Tonya is great. She chats you up with a gusto when she feels you need it (say, during your first Brazilian ever) and stays quiet when you're falling asleep on her cushy soft waxing bed. These prices are so so so so reasonable for quality of service that exceeds all others. From the minute I walked in, she passed the "be-especially-comforting-and-accommodating" test with flying colors. She offered me a trip to her little bathroom before starting. And assured me we'd take it slow, talking me through the whole process with her clear optimistic voice. It was Tonya who voluntarily popped a blackhead near my eyebrow without a thought (using a handy sterile metal tool of course) . And did my eyebrows the exact way I wanted (really difficult to find for somebody who doesn't want super arched exaggerated or trendy brows here in the states.) She studied me. Heard me. And acted accordingly. And the result showed. It was Tonya who switched from hard to soft wax in order to get ALL my baby peach fuzz with un-hurried, meticulous energy. And it was Tonya who offered me a tip on how to keep my random every which way eyebrow hairs in line (that nobody else ever bothered to mention, assuming I'm just a lost cause.) I found a reliable hidden gem in this unassuming cottage-looking mini-mall next to Safeway. When I'm back in Lafayette, you can bet I'll be going here for all my waxing needs, until either one of us dies. I'm a fan. However one critique I might add is that I would've appreciated some practical after-care thoughts on my Brazilian given that she knew it was my first time. Tonya has relocated to a new location in Lafayette, and although I was skeptical about the new location, I was pleasantly surprised that it was perfect. She now has a large, private room, in a quiet location. Parking is simple and right in front of the salon location. Tonya not provides amazing facials tailored specifically to each client. She is sure to choose the products that will benefit your complexion, and I know personally that the last few facials I have had, she has had to change the products due to the changes in my skin. She puts the thought and care into everything she does, letting you what she is putting on your face, what it will do for you, just very careful to explain everything so you feel 100% comfortable with her services. It doesn't help that Tonya also does amazing wax services, I enjoy my eyebrows now that she has trained them to do what they're supposed to do! I have to admit, that I'll never shave my underarms again after having Tonya wax them! My sister and I swooped up on the living social coupon for a Brazilian. I thought it would be nice to do along w/ a brow and lip and spray tan for my wedding. Tonya does it all so I emailed Tonya to set up an appointment to get my sister, mother and I pampered. It was the first time my sister and I had ever gotten a Brazilian so we were kind of nervous. She waxed each of us first and then flipped the room and sprayed. I went first. I was so nervous but Tonya really makes you feel comfortable. She is really easy to talk to and you kind of forget that you are totally exposing all your goods to her. The room was freezing but I soon got really hot. She even gave me a hand fan to help w/ the umm... stress.... Her work was awesome. My brows, lip, and the rest was nicely waxed. She then flipped the room and sprayed us. She makes sure to use her air fan to dry the tanner and get those tough spots. After she was done I put on my sun dress and the straps were a little too tight and messed it up a bit but she fixed it no problem. She even said if something happened to let her know and she would fit me in. My only complaint was my spray was kind of dark. I came back that night and my cousins were like DANG! But it faded to be perfect for Saturday. If I lived closer I would come back more often. read more

Wow, what an experience, this was no ordinary facial. This was "I've died and gone to heaven". You are in drankened room with soft music playing, under a heated blanket as she alternated various potions on you face, and while the potions are working their magic, you get a fantastic massage to boot!
