Golf is fun to do at this course. The people are great and are knowledgeable about the subject. It is a quiet area to go to without any major interruptions to your game. A perk about the place is "Taco Monday". It is a nice social time to visit and have a nice dinner. I will go again to golf and/or eat. read more

A decent course with some worn down greens, clubhouse felt and looked twenty years past needing a remodel, and not much offered on menus but past hope six we found some beautiful views way surprising! For being so outdated and not wanting outside drinks brought in but not offering any beverages us single adults go for, the gorgeous sights our second half of nine spawned a completely different take on this course. I was unprepared for the rolling tree framed vista enough to make any Midwesterner boasting of their backyard blush. I am still new to this silly real estate discussion disguised as a sport however it began to grow on me being able to slow down and take in the scenes. We did time our outing perfectly, right off a week of excessive rain, everything was brilliantly green and putting through golden hour helped us ignore the amateur arrangement of this setup. I'm sure this is near the bottom of options for professionals and sorely needs to fix those eye sores along with enhancing their drink options to happily treat more appetites. But try Fairlakes with low expectations! The pleasant surprise will feel right, you'll find a simple and enticing course, an easy going and friendly staff that's clean of any smug golf attitude, and fair prices to give beginners like me a good chance. read more

My family lives near this course. We're not avid golfers so I hate to spend tons on green fees. This is a nice, fairly easy course in county road 600 north of Carlock. The course isn't always the greenest during our hot summers, but as I said, we're not pro golfers and the price is right for a family of 5 to have a morning of fun together. We go there a couple of times each summer to get it golf fix. read more

Nice course. Friendly staff and course is clean. Mostly straight fairways but there are a few doglegs to challenge you. Go for a hot dog or a sandwich at the bar. Tastes better if you drink a few beers first. read more

I grew up here and it remains my favorite place to go and play a stress free round of golf. It's not super well kept nor is the design great, but there is a ton of character and even more characters that you'll encounter out here. Plus it isn't too expensive. The only time I play here is in a best ball outing. The course is like a cow pasture, the layout is chaotic and the greens are incredibly small and hard to stay on. Some of them are so sloped your ball will roll off when you set it down. It's popular for some reason but you don't need a reservation. If the first tee is crowded you can play the back nine first and no one really cares. Good place to go if you're learning the game but bring a lot of balls, there's a lot of places they can hide. read more

More bar than golf course. It's an awful course. The layout is extremely odd, and many holes are more dirt than grass. It's almost as if they are always in renovation mode on #6. What should be a bunker is just a huge pit of dirt, rock, weeds, and grass. So it was against my better judgment when I brought two friends there to walk 9. We walked in, and immediately noticed how loud the bar music was. When the bartender came over to take care of us, she had to repeat herself many times because we couldn't hear her over the blaring music. Unfortunately, I'm not exaggerating at all. On top of that, she had no idea what the cost was for 9 holes. So I asked if there were any twilight specials since it was 4pm. She had No idea what that even was. Finally, she came up with $11 for 9 holes, walking. It says $9 on their website. I told her for that price we would go down to El Paso Golf Club (much nicer anyways). Don't waste your time golfing there, you'll just be disappointed. read more
