They went back and forth on a quote for over a month. Once they agreed to do the work, my parents didn't hear from them for a month. I decided to help them out by finding a different company to work with. After my parents found someone else to do the job, they hear back from Carroll Metal Works. My parents explained that they had found someone else to do the work. Carroll Metal Works then threatened them saying they couldn't back out on the quotes they provided because it was "illegal." My parents had not even signed anything! The other company didn't work out anyway, so they went back to Carroll Metal Works. Three months later, the job was almost completed. The workers they sent to do the installation were rude and unprofessional. They also made multiple mistakes that took another month to correct. After everything was done, the bill was paid in full. A month later, they get another invoice from Carroll Metal Works claiming they never paid the first one. Even after I called them myself and emailed a copy of the credit card statement showing payment, they claimed that was only 50% of the bill, which was completely untrue because the invoice was the same as the quote. I ended up having to hire a lawyer for my parents to get out of this bogus second invoice asking for double payment. It was such a nightmare. Do not waste your time with them or anyone who does business with them.
