"Mu", in Chinese, means "mother". "Mom's best cooking" may seem to be the theme behind the chef's menu, and it's relfected on what this restaurant has to offer.
Mu was the first restaurant to have me experience ramen served in a stone bowl - it will keep the soup hot forever, so you don't need to worry about eating it right away (just make sure to ask the waiter for extra bowls so you can actually eat them). The noodles and the egg (and your choice of beef, beef tendon or chashu) are prepared so that they will be cooked to perfection once the order hits the table.
Aside from some of the ramen, Mu Noodle Bar also serves various Chinese fusion menu items, which are all good for sharing. I quite like their Beef Fried Rice, which is a complete meal in itself. Among all the side dishes, you can't go wrong with their version of the XO Radish Cake and the Three Cup Chicken. They also have a very unique dessert item, the Cuapao Custard, which is a must-try for any first-timers. After dining here, you will definitely feel that there is nothing lacking in Mu's flavor. read more
