I was pointed to the back of the store and told to look through the boxes to find the correct size.I called a friend for help and tried on one pair of shoes. Come to find out there are numerous shoes in incorrect boxes. I asked if they carried a long shirt and was told they only carried crop tops. When my friend asked about ladies sweats there was only pointing to a corner of the store.I asked a man if he was a manager an he would only identify himself as" one of them". I was concerned about being sure that I was in fact buying the correct size of shoesandwasstold to ASSUME ITS CORRECT I was visibly upset when leaving and the unhelpful female associate heckled me. Since the employees were just standing around pointing maybe someone could organize the shoes. if you go into this store expect not to be helped. They have the customers doing their jobs, which they clearly don't care about . Lots of people are looking for employmen.tA little customer service goes a long way. Sorting shoes and helping find things are just basic retail skills. Pointing, telling you to find it yourself, telling you to assume that everything you just spent over $ 150 on is correct, and finally laughing at you is completely unprofessional.

We turned around to leave and this man walked up and said what do you want! We asked him if they had 17mags because we have tried to get some without results. He told us they did not have them. He asked well where have you tried to get them and we told him Cabela's and Sportsman's Warehouse but nothing. His answer was we'll see, if you can't get them there then! Very rude! He didn't even offer to unlock the door and let us in to see if he could order them. My husband told him it's ok, we won't ever do business with them again, he also told the guy sorry to have bothered you! After what my husband told him, he then said well let's go inside to see if I can get them! We have bought two handguns, holsters and bullets and other stuff from this business in the past but WON'T EVER STEP FOOT IN THIS PLACE AGAIN! In the past when we bought items from them and was helped by another man who was very helpful and nice. This guy was horrible and had no rapport with customers. So much for supporting local businesses! Didn't even want to give one but couldn't submit without this. They don't deserve any!!

Just badmouths everybody and everything. If you can only promote yourself by saying unfounded negative comments about your competition, you're probably not very good at what you do. I mean, I don't really love the other nearby options either, but what a jerk. Avoid, unless this guy grows up and learns how to be a pleasant human. I truly hope that happens, and I hope one day we get fragile male chestpuffing and machismo out of gun culture.

I was looking for a short, easier…read moreexcursion on my last day in the area and the half day Orilla Verde raft trip was a perfect choice. This section of the river is calmer so its perfect for a relaxing float where you can spot wildlife and enjoy the grandeur of the gorge. You can opt to paddle a "funyak" on your own rather than go in the group raft. It's basically an inflatable kayak and my boyfriend and I chose that. It worked out well since there was only one other person in our group and they also chose a funyak. Check in is easy at the cafe in Pilar, about 20 minutes south of Taos and then you meet your guide at the gorge's visitor center across the street. Zac was our guide and he was a chill, cool guy but also focused on our safety and helped us navigate some shallow areas and one, small, class two rapids. He shared some stories about the river and its people and plant life. We got to see sheep climbing down the gorge to come drink in the river, a great blue heron and lots of ducks. It was a slow pace but that's what I was looking for. The funyaks were a little more challenging to navigate than regular kayaks (to me anyway.) They were lighter and seemed to spin and meander more. It was still a pleasant journey-just took a bit more concentration to paddle-especially with the two person boat we chose. Safety helmets and life jackets are provided and required. At the end, we shuttled back to the visitor center and our cars and Zac brought some apples, cookies and chips for the group. What a fun and memorable way to end my time in Taos. Los Rios is fun, friendly, easy to work with and I'd absolutely go again! Don't forget to tip your guide and also be ready to get a little wet, even on a more mellow trip. Had an awesome time on the river!
