Hinckley Pets in Home
(1 review)
The Hinckley pets at Home is a small business lead by friendly people who like dogs and let dogs…read moreplay with each other while in their care. They keep dogs in a large outside garden with a free access to house and water. As such they are good for boarding or day care services for friendly dogs which enjoy other dogs company. That said, we were not particularly impressed with their dog walking service. It may happens that your requested a time slot fits their schedule at a particular day and your dog might get his midday walk, otherwise it can be taken out just after you have left for work or immediately before you have got back home (so you greet your dog at your door realising it had been on its own for 7-8 hrs). You cannot be also sure if they have visited your dog and at times they might come when you did not request (it is standard practice in case of other similar services to leave a short note every time they visit). Similar dis-organisation was noticed in the way they handle the key to your home, so make sure you include special key-handling section in your contract as keys might get lost. Make sure you are frequently asking them about the current state of their terms and conditions, insurance etc. as you may not be informed about any changes that might affect you. This is especially important if you have made your reservation ahead of time (e.g. few months earlier) as you may risk being turned away or referred to an over-priced one-to-one service. We have been happy with their grooming service.

Most importantly my puppies adore her, they no when she is due and both sit waiting for the sound of her van to pull into the street and when it does their reaction tells me everything, two more excited, happier dogs I have yet to see. On occasion we see Sarah when we are out walking, every time we do my little yorkie will not leave her side, she is showered with love, affection and kisses, I have to drag him away from her, he would leave me in a heartbeat to go with her. That to me says everything about Sarah and the love she has for the dogs and how they feel about her. Like I said wonderful service, wonderful woman.

I've been visiting Noah's Ark since I was a teenager and enjoy supporting local stores where the staff make you feel welcome. As such, I will happily go out of my way to shop here thanks to the exceptionally friendly service you receive from the owner and staff. This is a traditional local store, so don't expect the range and volume of supplies you may in some chain Pet stores, but they usually have what you need and the friendly service always leaves a smile on the face! Well worth a visit!
Noah's Ark Aquatic & Pet Centre is a small local pet shop that specialises not only in a small…read morerange of animals to purchase, but also various fishing equipment, including rods, tackles, and live bait. Quite why Noah would feel the need to go fishing (given that he's got two of every species of animal on the boat with him, you think he'd struggle to find time), but given that he's evidently taken up the pastime, he could do a lot worse than visiting his namesake's store. The prices are extremely reasonable (around £30 for a good quality rod which will last you more than a couple of seasons) and the staff are friendly and helpful in giving advice, both on animals and the fishing equipment, even if you've made it clear that you're not looking to buy there and then. Additionally, make an purchase of over £10 and any local delivery is free.

When our youngest dog became sick and listless we ummed and arghed about which vets to use and picked this one more or less at random. When we phoned up in a bit of a panic about the dog we were met with calm and reassuring people at the other end oof the phone, who gave us some really useful advice about looking after and monitoring her. When it was necessary to bring her in we were dealt with straight away and the service and treatment was ablsolutely first class. It was necessary for her to stay in for acouple of days and we were able to get updates at regular intervals, infact pretty much whenever we wanted them. The price we were chargfed we felt to be perfectly valid and acceptable, and were glad were signed up with Sandon Vetinary group now for the future. Highly recommended to all pet owners in the area.

As well as food for most pets they stock a large range of bird feeders, padded dog and cat beds from £6, collars, leads, flea drops, shampoos, dog chews from 40p, cat toys which can be used for rabbits too and, if you have a big dog, you can get a ginormous bone for just £2 called a 'postman's leg'; that's value for money right there!
