I just got done cleaning all the grease left on the interior and exterior of my vehicle after an oil change. The doors, handle, and sill, as well as the hood, had handprints and smears, the seat had a smear, the dash had several fingerprints, and the steering wheel had many oily greasy marks. Upon cleaning the grease from the door sill I found several small scratches in both the plate and the paint. None of the damage is worth repairing, even though it is a very new vehicle, but none of it should have occurred. Congratulate your "technician" for putting the first scratches in my car for me, I'd do it myself but I'm never going to Clio Muffler Man again. read more

My son took his 2009 Buick Lacrosse here for a coolant flush with his mother. They later called her to give her an estimate of $1000 to repair a gasket they claimed started leaking after doing a pressure test of the system. She called me and asked me to look at the car. I found coolant leaking from a very very common coolant tube over the timing cover that is a $100 repair. Also, i asked repeatedly if they were sure they did a coolant flush as there is so much crud in the system it is impossible one was performed. I started fixing his car the next day and removed the thermostat. The crud buildup is proof there is no way they did a flush. I called them and asked again if they were sure a flush was done, and i was assured it was. I asked how they do the flush, and was told they hook the machine near the THERMOSTAT. I asked for my sons money back and they told me they did the flush and were not refunding the $150. Ive been in this business for over 27 years and done many coolant system flushes. If a flush was performed, the sludge buildup would not be anywhere as bad as it is. read more

The negative reviews here seem to be from people who don't understand things can turn into bigger jobs than estimated. Therefore, taking a longer time than planned or told. Maybe the job before you turned into a bigger job. They had me in and out faster then I expected. I told them what I wanted and they found it was something else that needed done, not what I thought. They could have taken advantage on my request but were upfront and honest. Great price, great work. Polite and courteous. read more

My wife and I dropped my daughter's vehicle off at 1 to get her muffler fixed. The guy asked if we wanted to wait or pick it up when it was done. I asked how long the wait would be and the guy said it would take 30 to 40 minutes before the parts would he delivered. We had running to do so we said we would come back. 4 and a half hours later, we still hadn't heard anything. I called and the guy said it wasn't done. I asked if it would be done before they closed and he said "most likely, not." We said we would come pick it up because we had an appointment for her to get new tires the next day. We get there to pick it up and he said, "Sorry, we haven't even looked at it." Are you serious?!?! He asked if we wanted to wait when we dropped it off and then after leaving it there for four hours, it never even got looked? We should have had a clue when my wife called the day before with questions and the guy who answered said she'd have to wait because, "They don't let me do computers." My car had been having an odd, grinding sound on the front passenger side. After the guys looked at it, they said all four of my rotors and brake pads changed. They quoted me $436 for everything to be completed. Luckily, I grabbed the quote and left. Decided to change them myself, with help, a few days later. All four rotors were completely FINE on my car! Along with my brake pads being barely used! I changed my back pads just to have it done and it cost me: $43. They quoted me 100x that and everything was fine! I will never being going back . I do have to say, everyone I spoke with at the shop was polite. read more

Took our old beater in for loud exhaust, They were super busy so I was told since there were 10 cars ahead of me, it would be an hour and a half before they could look at it. I agreed and had my dad come pick me up so I didn't have to wait in the waiting room (tho the cushioned bench seating was plenty comfy and the waiting room was clean). About 2 hours later they called and let me know what needed to be done to fix it right and what could be done at the bare minimum to quiet it down. I took the latter option because it's an old car I'm not really wanting to put a ton of $$ into right now. They got it quieted down and running good for $55. My dad goes here all the time as well and he knows cars well (worked as a millwright for GM for over 35 years) and could do the work himself, but doesn't want to mess with getting under the car and who can blame him? They do a great job. Have never tried to rip us off and are always polite and efficient. It also says a lot that they are ALWAYS very busy. They have been in Clio for many many years and folks know they do good work. read more
