My coworker was having a rough day so I ordered the "colorful managers selection" online for same Day delivery. I was very pleased with the service from Muffy's! I called at the last minute to get flowers for my boss who hadn't warned anyone it was her birthday. They did a rush job to get the flowers on the delivery van before the driver departed. Being a former florist, I was pretty specific about what I wanted and Muffy's did their best to accomodate given the short notice. The driver followed my instructions and called when she arrived, just as I had asked. The timing of the delivery was exactly when they said it would be. My only gripe is the delivery charge is a little on the high side... it was $15! When i used to be a florist, we had delivery zones so that deliveries closer/further were charged accordingly. Given that the delivery was within 5 miles, I think $15 is a little high. But given it was a rush job and they were very accomodating, I think it was absolutely worth it. The arrangement itself was nice and had nice mix of colors. Since I used to be florist, there are a few things I would have done slightly differently, but that's just me being a control freak. LOL I think Muffy's did a really nice job. I've seen other arrangements they've done and they've all been really nice. They even email you a receipt and a follow up email to ensure you're happy with your experience. Clearly Muffy's takes a lot of pride in what they do, and that, more than anything, merits a 5 star rating. read more

Many times ordering flowers out of town can be a gamble, especially during a major floral holiday like Valentines Day. I have had my share of poor choices with flower shops but Muffy's is NOT on that list. I called last week to place my order well in advance of the big day and spoke with a very nice and quite competent florist. She understood what I wanted and assured me she would take care of it. She sure did, mission accomplished! My wife really likes unusual plants. Were from Az, so anything cactus, succulents, she loves & I have had the hardest time trying to find any shops in Anchorage, that even knew what a succulent was. I live in California and it was my mom's 66th birthday in AK so I placed a last minute order online on the day of, before the shop was opened. An hour after they opened, I called to double check if they had received it & to ask when they would deliver it. The lady on the phone was super sweet & asked what my mom's favorite color and flower was so that they could customize it for her. At the end of the day, I received an email from them that the flowers were delivered along with a photo of my mom & a message that she had loved them!!! I asked Siri to give me the top rated florists in Anchorage and this was on the top of the list. I called from Austin, TX to have flowers delivered to my mom on her 76 birthday. Sharon was so friendly on the phone and got all of my pertinent information. When they were on their way to deliver the flowers, they gave my mom a call to let her know they were on the way. She wasn't home, but at a local thrift store where she volunteers and they took the flowers to the thrift store and gave them to her there. So I gave Muffy's a call, told her I wanted something more exciting than a standard arrangement of sunflowers or roses or tulips. She let me know what she had received that morning and asked what colors my friend liked. We chatted for a solid 30 minutes about the feel of the arrangement and my price point. An hour or so later she texted me that the flowers were on their way and sent me the photos. HOLY MOLY!!! It was amazing. A stunning work of art. It is always a little nerve wracking to order flowers for an out-of-town delivery. We ordered these for my mom's retirement from 30+ years of nursing. None of her kids live in the same state as her so we had to take a risk based on yelp reviews and we were super happy with our choice of Muffys flowers. A very good friend of our family from Hawaii was on a cruise to Alaska and fell ill and was in the ICU at a hospital in Anchorage. So far away and no way to show our support. Can't send flowers or plants, even regular latex balloons so I checked online for the acceptable mylar balloons. Muffy's popped up as a vendor who could do the job so I ordered some mylar get well balloons on there website. They were to get there on the next day Saturday but never showed up. Inquiries with the very helpful Sharon at Muffy's revealed that the balloons were sent but apparently the volunteers at the hospital incorrectly delivered the balloons to the wrong hospital room. Anyway Sharon was so sweet and helpful, she resent the balloons at no additional cost and the balloons finally arrived at the right place to cheer up our dear friend. She personally made sure it was delivered and went the extra mile to get it done. I can't recommend this business more. Sharon was a sweetheart, helpful, concerned and caring in just the portions and willing to make things right. You can't go wrong with Muffy's as far as I'm concerned. I recently ordered a birthday arrangement to be delivered to my sister. I had in my mind a specific vision of what I wanted -- a "just picked from the farm" type arrangement with seeded eucalyptus, olive greens, wax flowers, and then a few fresh florals blended in. When my sister sent me a photo of the arrangement, it was like they took what was in my mind and made it even better -- they added blue thistles (my favorite!!), black and white anemones, and even fresh moss!!! The day of the delivery, I found out my sister wasn't at work because she was home with her sick daughter, and Muffy's Flowers was able to make a quick adjustment to have the arrangement picked up by another family member, and she made the arrangement totally secure for transport, so it wouldn't fall over in the car.
