Really delicious food and exceptional service. We stumbled a cross this gem on our first day of our stay in Sydney and how lucky were we. - it's fantastic. The owner (Kristy or Christy -spelling) is super friendly and remembers every detail. We had a picky order with no peppers on some of their avocado toast, macadamia nut milk in one of the coffees, and each day they knew our order better than we did. I'd highly recommend going here anytime of day. I also love their yearly coffee deal. I'd buy it if I lived in Sydney. It's $300 a year for your daily coffee.

We came here for 2 cappuccinos and left with a donut! The barista was so friendly, patient & helpful. They have a great menu, we'll definitely be back. We've had their/ dr dough's donuts before, and they're great.

I am staying in Sydney for two months, and I am so glad I found this coffee shop! Coffee is so good, smoothies are SO good, donuts are amazing, staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is fun and inviting. If you are staying near Darling Harbour I definitely suggest visiting Mug Life.

Wonderful little coffee shop in the heart of Pyrmont. They have everything from nitro cold brew to delicious cappuccinos. The banana bread is quite large but delicious, and I would highly recommend if you're going to splurge to try one of the donuts!!

One of the best donuts I've tasted. Not overly sweet and very fully. Ice coffee taste amazing. Total cost for 2 donuts, an ice coffee and latte is $19.50

My husband and I have been staying in this area for about a week now, and are so glad we stumbled upon this eatery! The food and coffee are delicious, the restaurant itself is beautiful and trendy, and the vibe is very fun!

Plus, I'm never one to turn down the possibility of a donut and coffee. Shortstop specializes in cake donuts rather than yeast, which allows for more creative flavors. I have always preferred more specialty donut flavors than traditional ones. My favorites in years past have been matcha green tea, earl grey, rose, lavender, etc. So imagine my elation when we stepped inside Shortstop and saw all these phenomenal flavors aligned with my preferences! I, of course, insisted on ordering the triple matcha, while my husband opted for their earl grey and rose. We also ordered coffees, a filtered coffee for my husband a latte for me. Their coffee is sourced from local roasters. The triple matcha had a matcha cake base and was topped with white chocolate, matcha glaze, and matcha icing. I'm never one to say "too much matcha," so this was perfect for me! I had a bite of my husband's earl grey and rose donut, which was a lovely balance of earl grey, lemon myrtle, rosewater, and rose. Highly recommend if you're in Melbourne craving some sweets. We're so glad we stopped in!

I think I might be spoiled from donut shops in LA because I was a little underwhelmed by their donut selection. I looked at the display case slightly confused and asked the guy working there if that was all they had, and he seemed kind of turned off at the fact that I seemed like I was expecting more variety. He said yes....and I was like oook then. I decided to get the Nutella Dream donut shake, which was "Original Nutella blended with ice cream and milk, topped with Nutella filled donut." Talk about diabetes in a shake! tbh, I only did it for the Instagram photo LOL, but it was decent. The shake wasn't mixed super well and had a lot of chunks of Nutella at the bottom, but I kind of liked it. The guy put my straw through the donut, so when I removed it the straw was covered in Nutella from the donut filling. Kinda gross...but it looked cool before I took it off. The donut was ok, but nothing special. Overall, glad I tried it at least once, but not sure if I would be back. Got my Instaphoto, so that's all I need :P
