Ed came across as understanding and promised to make the process better. Unfortunately, this turned out to be another nightmare. Despite the contract stating final payment would be made upon completion, Ed requested and received full payment before the work was finished. After being paid in full, he disappeared and left the project incomplete. The job was worth over $40,000, started in early August, and as of now (October), it is still not completed. We tried to be patient and gave them every opportunity to make things right, but the lack of follow-through, communication, and professionalism has been deeply disappointing. This experience has been incredibly stressful and costly. I would not recommend Chickies Interex to anyone--not even my worst enemy.

They gave us a quote for complete restoration and worked with the insurance company to resolve the situation. They are honest, respectful, competent and they do good work. Unfortunately at a later date we had another similar incident. Once again they came out and saved the day! If I use a contractor more than once you can bet that I am happy with them. They surmounted extreme challenges during the pandemic to make us whole again.

I chose them based on good Google reviews so wanted to pass it on here too. The crew was courteous, easy to work with, and did great work. We had to work with two different insurance companies and they made this seamless as well. Great experience considering the reason.

At the end of the work day on May 4th 2017, Half of the crew dumped a significant amount of paint into a storm sewer drain across the street from the house they were working on. A heavy rain that evening washed the paint onto my property as I own the neighborhood storm water retention basin. A Pequea Twnsp employee did photograph the paint in the sewer before the rain. I contacted the Strange Painting Co that evening via email. As of the date of this posting (5-13-17) they have not replied. The Township has declined to bring charges. I will never hire them for any job as they do not train their employees and because pursuit of profit trumps environmental concerns. Michael Dyer
