My wife and I could not be happier with the work Tim and his crew did repairing the shingles on our roof after a recent high wind storm. Not only did he take care of the obvious damages we could see from the street, he fixed all the other damaged shingles we were not even aware of! We also were given before and after photos which, as someone who is not terribly fond of heights, truly appreciates. We have a relatively new house so I haven't had much need for many contractor services yet. The few times where I did need help, I always get anxious trying to find someone that I feel I could trust won't take advantage of my ignorance of the subject. After obtaining quotes from several local roofers, it was clear to us who we wanted to do our roof. Tim, the owner, personally showed up to give us a quote and provided us with a wealth of information. I know, this sounds like an obvious start to the quote process, but I received two quotes from companies who decided to stop by when I was not home and email me a quote. I do not do business with people who can't extend the simple courtesy of meeting with me first. The speed at which somebody submits a quote is not even a determining factor to me. That said, Tim came out and was one of the first to meet with us. His professionalism, knowledge, and attitude were all major factors in us choosing him. He was not the cheapest, but when we spoke to him, he seemed like an extremely honest person who was going to do the best job that he could. Here we are, at the end of our project, and it is nice to see that all of that rang true. Our roof is done and it looks great. Now, I am not a roofer, and I honestly cannot tell whether he cut corners, or did anything that would be determined as incorrect. That said, I bet few people would know until years down the line if something were to happen. Despite all of that, I firmly believe that Tim would never complete a project to anything other than an extremely high standard. You can just tell when you meet him that he has a high standard and a high level of integrity. I have always been an extremely good judge of people, and unless he has fooled me (which never happens) I would never want anyone else performing work on my home. He is a down-to-Earth, respectful person that takes the time to explain things to you and speak to you like an equal -- not speak down to you (like another roofer did). No, I am not the expert, but it doesn't mean that you treat me like I'm an idiot...Tim NEVER did this. It was always like speaking to a good friend. In fact, I liked him and his work so much, that I decided to get additional quotes for other projects that I am seeking to have done. One for a master bathroom, and one to convert our porch area into an all-season room. We just moved to the Mount Wolf area, and I am always very leery of new people, new areas, and unfamiliar territory. I am not someone who trusts easily. Based on the way I have been treated by Tim, we are even more pleased that we have moved to a place where people like him are part of our community. He has a lot of character and I am looking forward to continuing doing business with him in the future, and living in our new home. Pros: Trustworthy Does NOT hire subcontractors. he does the work himself with his crew and is onsite every day for the duration of the project. The quality of his work speaks for itself Expedient, but does not sacrifice quality for speed Extremely confident and knowledgeable; but not in an arrogant way. He communicated everything to us like a good friend or neighbor would. Price was honest and fair. Not the most expensive, but not the least expensive. Communication. He remained in constant contact with me and kept updating me on the progress, the start date, and other pertinent information. I am a communication-freak. It is just a common courtesy. So I appreciate the expedience and thoroughness at which he got back to me. Cleanup: I walked through the areas yesterday and everything looks great. I have a small child and we have had contractors in the past not be very thorough with picking up nails, glass, etc. That is super disrespectful and shows zero attention to detail. Tim's crew did a great job. His crew all seemed like good, trustworthy people. I have had contractors in the past show up with a crew that looked like they were from Cell Block D of the local State Penitentiary. The complete opposite is true for Tim's crew. Great group of guys! Cons: I am a very critical person. I am not easily impressed by people who just do their job. So getting 5 5 stars from me is very difficult to do. That said, I literally have zero complaints about Tim, his work, and his team. When you are spending thousands of dollars, you want to feel like you made a good purchase. I definitely feel like I made the right purchase with the right contractor. I feel like he went above and beyond from the start of this project, to the finish. I would highly recommend Tim and his team for any home improvement work they offer. The owner Tim stopped by to check some loose roofing shingles on our front corner and seal them and nail them back down. He also inspected the rest of our roof and hammered in a loose nail he found. He also secured some loose gutter flashing in the front. He gave some recommendations and advice of when our roof should be replaced and the cost was very reasonable.
