Mulberry Street Cigar Company offers hand rolled cigars. They have sweet and non-sweet. I don't have any cigar smokers left in my family but when I did this place was a treat to visit. I like to come at least once a year during the Feast of San Gennaro. They have hats, T-Shirts and coins for souvenirs too. I'm a big fan of the wooden figures in the window. I like the Challenge Coins too. It's fun for me to visit just for the smells. It's good to give my senses a workout during the Feast of San Gennaro. Stop in if you're nearby. I wish I could give this place 2.5 stars, as I have been here on occasion when in the area and even though the selection is ok, the overall experience is a bit lacking. Staff is not too knowledgeable when it comes to the cigars on hand, and sometimes the humidors do not seem set right as I have noticed some cigars to be on the dry side. Still, location is smack dab in the heart of Little Italy. Prices area bit high there because of the touristy location. Nice bench to sit on right outside the front door and enjoy a smoke and people watch. Only go here if you are in the area for convenience. read more

This place is pretty handy for picking up whatever assorted cigars you wish, however it certainly doesn't have that upscale / woodsy feel that most cigar stores possess. The atmosphere is more of the corner store, neon lit type of convenience store than anything else. I haven't had a cigar in a long time. Monday seemed like the perfect day to sit in the shade, sip iced tea, read a book and have a cigar. Upon arriving I described what I liked (good draw was high in the list) and mentioned cigars I've enjoyed in the past. After a few subway rides and some walking around we ended up in litte italy. Sure, very touristy area for sure but at least we saw it. we had a few smokers in our group that day so we stopped in here for refills. cigars and cigarettes galore! Someone in our group smokes these really gross vanilla cigarettes (hahaha!) that are hard to find, and oh guess what! They carried them here. I don't smoke, but was amused by this place. They have about a million pictures of the famous people who have stopped in here. All over the walls are pictures.(apparently they must have a camera sitting behind the counter poised and ready to go.). So I was slightly dismayed they didn't want MY photograph, but whatever..... their loss. So there ya go. You're in the area and need something to smoke or just want to look at famous people in awkward poses, come here. read more

One (Star) for location. Simply smack right in the middle of Little Italy with close proximity for transportation is a plus point. One (Star) for the varieties of cigars and cigarettes they carry. That's the highest I would rate them based on convenience and varieties. I went over after work last week to check out some cigars. Apparently, the person behind the counter couldn't care at all. I call that lousy customer service. I ask for recommendation of cigar that's not sweet tasting and mild. The answer "It's all there. Read the label". I would definitely not recommend this shop if you need advice on purchases but if you already know what you want. By all means, the selection is pretty good. read more

Just hours from a trip from Italy where my first taste of Cubans was nothing to write home about, and on my way home to the 50th state, I stopped in the NYC to enjoy the Christmas lights. I found this shop conveniently located couple blocks from my hotel in SOHO. Located in the heart of Little Italy they had a curbside display of their local blend of Dominicans being rolled before your eyes. I enjoyed their recommended mild flavor and lightly dipped churchill. Their prices are typical for NYC and you can also choose from a selection of major brands. Coming from a state with strict smoking laws I was able to enjoy my stick on the bench exclusively for smoking. read more

Whatever your heart desires you can literally ask and you shall receive. Their hand rolls are fantastic. A unique house blend with a sweet or non sweet or Madura wrapper puts it al together. The owner is an awesome guy! Extremely funny and welcoming also extremely knowledgeable about his product. The inside of the cigar shop has a very homey feel to it where when you walk in you see photos of happy customers, family members and very unique and beautiful hand carved statues. Also located in a great area of little Italy where you can get a great eat and an even better post eat smoke. I highly recommend you visit mulberry street cigars you won't regret it at all.
