I had an appointment set for 1:30. I arrived a little early and filled out the typical sheets of…read morepaper, most of which are superfluous. As I arrived, a gentleman stepped out of the back of the office claiming he'd been there over an hour and hadn't been seen. I didn't pay much attention until I'd sat in the waiting room over 45 minutes, finally asking status and saying they're 45 minutes past my appointment time. The desk lady (think Monique?) was extremely curt and said she had no clue. I pressed asking her to check with a nurse in the back to give me some idea, but was told she wouldn't do that and it could be a while still. After pressing a few more times she finally admitted the doctor was in with a patient and still had another new patient to see before me...so it could still be an hour. An hour...after being already 45 minutes late? I asked if she had my phone number, she said yes, so I said I'd go run an errand or two and text me when they're getting close. She claimed she could not text, to which I replied you're welcome to call me or send an email. Desk lady was having none of it and told me she's "not going to do that". I tried reasoning with her saying it's extremely unprofessional to be that far behind and to not give other appointment patients a heads up, using analogies of dinner and flight reservations. She couldn't be bothered. I told her to refund my money and I'd go elsewhere. I'm sorry...but as a retiree who built a professional career on setting proper expectations, communicating effectively, negotiating efficiently, etc, this was unacceptable! As that was the "level of service" they were willing to offer, I highly recommend people take their medical business to an office that does care about the client experience.

Wow! I'm so impressed to find a doctor who is so thorough, knowledgeable and kind! I have attended…read moremany appointments with Dr. Kellogg, and no matter the issue at hand, she takes her time and gets to the bottom of it. When seeing her for sick visits, she reminds me of the wellness and up-keep types of things: the things we tend to forget : flu shot, bone-density, mammogram, skin check, etc. Surprisingly, she will attend to all of my problems in one visit, instead of giving you the schpiel that the insurance company only lets them solve one issue per visit, which I have heard from other doctors. Overall, she and her staff treat me with respect and patience. I am so grateful to be able to contact her office when I am in need!

I had the first appointment of the day with my PCP. I was told to arrive 15 minutes prior to the…read moreappointment, which wasn't hard to do since I live nearby. However, my PCP was 20 minutes late. Traffic, I guess. I actually heard her come in so she wasn't just sitting in the office somewhere. I like this office for convenience but if I'm expected to be early, I at least expect the doctor to be on time, especially if they are only spending 10 minutes with me. I was there for my annual physical exam and was told to undress even though I wasn't there for a well woman exam. I do a well woman with my OB/Gyn. Well, it would have been nice to know I didn't need to undress completely. Needless to say, I was examined and then I was given a referral to a specialist when my request for additional testing was denied. The specialist would need to order the additional tests, according to my doctor. I left with my lab order for bloodwork a little miffed that I had to make another appointment but such is the state of the healthcare system these days.

He is one of the "old school" physicians who cares about his patients, beyond simply typing upon a computer screen during the visit. (Like my dad, who was also a physician for obviously many years, he still uses the charts, with hand written notes, and test results within.) I highly recommend him, as he makes sure his patients have the tests they need, and responds quickly once receiving the results. Also, like the "old school" physicians, he visits his patients when they are in the hospital for other health issuses, when he is doing rounds within that particular hospital. His patients are important. If you need a neurologist, he is sincerely is the doctor to see.

She actually listens to my concerns and has never once made me feel like she was in a rush to end our appointment. I'm a bit of a worrier when it comes to my health concerns and she always helps me to feel at ease and talks me through options and concerns with a patient and calm demeanor. It is very clear that the well being of each and every one of her patients is important to her and that is rare to find. I feel so grateful to be under her care and confident I am in great hands with Doctor Sweetser. To add, I'm so happy with her new location at Hoag Medical in Foothill Ranch. The lobby is beautiful, the patient suites are clean and stylish, and the service is helpful and friendly. Going to the doctor has never been more fun!

I received results from a PSA test over the weekend and was concerned (freaked out) about what they…read moreindicated. I called the Hoag answering service and was told that my Dr. wasn't on call. So I was connected to Dr. Sweetser who was. She listened patiently to my concerns and asked me what the test results were. In a soothing manner she assured me that there was nothing to worry about. If I lived near Aliso Viejo I would switch to her as my PCP in a heartbeat. Thank you Dr. Sweetser!
