My family and I have been seeing Dr Adlard for over 20 years. He is an experienced Fam practice Doc who is current on emerging conditions. He is my primary care physician and we've built a relationship of honesty and trust. Dr Adlard and his nurse, Barbara, attend to our needs as it used to be, where your MD is familiar with your health issues when he shakes my hand, and asks about my golf game. If I have an issue and need medical attention, I get an appointment that day. No waiting for an available appointment 2-3 days later. Limited wait times in the office and usually out in 20 minutes. If you require blood work, it is drawn there in the office. Your not sent to a lab three miles away where you wait for 30 minutes. Doctor Adlard is ok. But please try to avoid Barbara (front office person) I wouldn't call her a lady. She was so rude to the max. She had me waiting even though she knew damn well my presence there standing in front of her but she chose to finish her TikTok video with her co-worker. Did not let me finish my sentence, reprimanded me in front of the patient who was patiently waiting to see his doctor. Obviously she got tired working there. A very so so doctor. I had a serious. Case of eczema and he diagnosed it as athletes foot in one second flat. Then he fired me as a patient since I cancelled an appointment the day before in 2019 and two appointments cancelled due to grieving for my dad who died. I called and let them know both times that I was not able to make appointment, the day before. I'm thinking the ego must be fragile when you can't pick up the phone and at least explore options to care for a patient. It's for the best since I'm older now and deserve the best care ever. read more

Dr. Adlard and his office have been our primary provider since I moved to California eight years ago. I love that he is straightforward, knowledgeable, and kind. My kids are all happy go see him. My husband, who really does NOT like doctors / dentists / medical professionals, likes him. Ignore the one star reviewers as they have not read their insurance policies. Every policy I have read has stated that an annual well exam is ONLY fully covered until an issue arises. At that point, it becomes a normal chargeable visit to the insurance company. Dr. Adlard's billing practices are unethical and are exactly what is wrong with our healthcare system. I showed up for an annual checkup as a new patient. Normally this would have been covered by my insurance as a preventative visit. However, during my visit I mentioned two issues that I was experiencing so he billed my insurance as if this was not a preventative visit. Additionally he billed me for issues that I was not experiencing and did NOT discuss with him. This unfortunately cost me a small fortune in healthcare costs. This man is a crook and is part of the problem not the solution. He is more concerned about taking your money and getting paid than he is about your health and well being. His attitude is abrasive and you, the patient, is little more than an inconvenience and source of income. Dr. Adlard is knowledgeable, fair and only care about your wellbeing. Point to case, he saved my life. I show up with jaundice; in less than a week, he find out cancer and assembled an expert team which continue with my care. He didn't sugarcoated the information and he gave the perfect direction to be treated. He is not very thorough. Look for a doctor that cares about you and your needs. This office treats you like you are just a number. I attended this office 4 times. Not once was my weight taken and my temp was taken maybe twice. He is not thorough! Dr. Adlard takes a "let's throw medications at you and see what happens" kind of approach rather then an investigative approach. He never set ups a follow up appointment. He tries to rush you to get you in and out as fast as possible. So that you have questions and have to make another appointment(so he gets paid). My appointments were rarely longer then 5-10min. I spent a longer time waiting in a waiting room with no one else in it then seeing the doctor. I end up researching and seeking out my own diagnosis. Then found my own specialist to confirm my diagnosis. No thanks to this doctor. Patty on his staff is very nice, but Linda in billing is rude and is direct reflection of what this doctors priorities are. He should be investigated. He clearly paid for his reviews. There wasn't once that I saw another patient in the waiting room. Where are all the people raving about this guy?!?!? read more

AVOID When you come for an annual well exam, which should have no co-pay under the Affordable Care Act, the doctor will also charge as an office visit prompting a bill for a co-pay later. So if you mention any symptom you have, he charges as an office visit. This is unethical and he's trying to gouge the insurance company and patient. read more

I just walked out of this so called Doctors office, I felt like I was dealing with a low bit thug, the way he spoke to me was as if I was bothering him by visiting his office with a health concern. He spoke to me s if I were stupid for not knowing where to go for the condition I was concerned about which had to do with my heart. Dr Adlard is awesome. Open on Saturdays. Its not impossible to get an appointment. I have almost always gotten a same day appointment with him. If you have an emergency, they will get you in. He is personable and is very professional. Everyone in my family goes to see him. Besides his demeanor and professionalism, his office is SUPER organized. And they are nice. Very nice. I really don't like waiting ( no one does ) and lack of organization, you don't experience that here. Going to see him is not something to dread is you are in and out and he is great. read more

Rude as can be. I called to inform him that my prescription had not been renewed for 7 days as Costco pharmacy did not hear back from his office. He immediately went onto the defensive and exploded stating Costco are to blame and his office never makes a mistake. I informed him that I had left a message with his answering service and he never called back. Again, he placed full blame on the service he is paying for. He begrudging filled the prescription and told me - the patient - he will no longer be my doctor. You think he would at least check the facts, be concerned about his patient and be man enough to admit that he is not perfect.May I urge all who read this to seek another option - this man is not caring in my opinion. So much for the Oath Doctors live by:( especially # 4 below... the bit about warmth, sympathy and understanding). Dr Adlard is horrible. I went to see him because I was extremely fatigued. I asked him if my thyroid medication was high enough and he told me I was tired because I had three kids . He accused me of trying to increase my thyroid meds to lose weight which I was 115 pounds and didn't need to lose weight. Went to see another doctor and found the problem. read more

Dr. Adlard was the physician on call on Memorial Day. I was in alot of pain and my health insurance put a call into Dr. Adlard. I needed his medical advice. When Dr. Adlard called me back I apologized for bothering him on a holiday at his home. I was trying to be considerate of his time. The response I received was far from professional or nice. He was abrupt and short with me. I could tell he wanted to just get off the phone. Being on call is part of the territory that goes with being a doctor. Perhaps the other reviewer did not interrupt his day off so his demeanor was pleasant. I would never recommend him to anyone and will let others know to not contact his office. read more

I switched over to Dr. Adlard in early February due to an insurance change. Dr. Adlard himself seems like a decent doctor but his lead staff person who handles patient blood draws is an absolute nightmare. I came in on March 8th for a follow up blood draw, which for me I was told was a $ 30 copay. No problem at all with that. When I first saw the Dr on February 11th he had forgotten to put in a prescription that we talked about, so as I was walking down the hall I saw him in the open area, said hi and asked him about that prescription and the strength of it. I went in and had my blood drawn and he came in to talk to me about that prescription for literally 3 minutes. A few weeks later I get a bill for an additional $ 52 because now my blood work had apparently turned into a doctors visit. If I had know it was turning into a doctors visit (and more money) I would have just called later to ask for the prescription. Instead, when I got the bill and when I tried to argue my point I was spoken to by the absolute worst customer facing person I have ever dealt with in a doctors office (this lead nurse). If you don't want to be nickel-and-dimed by a doctor and treated like crap for standing up for yourself, then steer clear of Dr. Adlard! Also, for what it's worth, this office is sorely behind the technology curve. No online system for test results or communication with the staff.
