Aura in Trim is pretty decent for a public leisure centre in that it has lots of facilities…read moreincluding a pool, gym, fitness studio, bowling and a sauna/ steam room. They also offer a few programs such as diet and weight management, fitness classes, swimming lessons etc., and if you become a member, you can get your own training program. The fitness studio is not too big but they have a good number of cardio machines and weights. The price for walk-in is cheaper the earlier you go (around 5 euro before 5pm, but increases to 8.50 euro in the evenings). The pool is also timetabled specifically for free swim so I think you would have to confirm the timings as theres lessons on pretty often. I went a few times around 5pm and 6pm, and I noticed that around 4-5pm is pretty busy with a lot of teenagers, while after 6pm is less busy and mostly adults in the gym. The lockers cost 1 euro by the way, and they sell swim gear and energy bars and drinks. The only thing was that it's not the cleanest gym and not being able to free swim at any time is quite inconvenient, but other than that it serves it's purpose as a fitness centre well, is great for kids as well as adults, and is quite inexpensive compared to private gyms with no contract needed.

They have free and good WiFi. The food on offer was ok priced for ok food. Most of what I could see food wise was pre-frozen factory produced food like low quality cheap chicken nuggets and chips. Not my idea of dining but many folk seem not to mind feeding this stuff to kids. I sure wouldn't. They sold the wonderful Maud's ice cream too but sadly they didn't have pooh bear so I had to settle for vanilla. 1st world problems I suppose. The staff were a friendly bunch despite being continually surrounded by the sort of mayhem that pre teen kids specialise in. It's four star but only 2 stars food wise where the could and should do much better.

Such a wonderful golf course…read more Where at this time of the year, the change of season from autumn to winter we still see the trees, go from yellow to red and tinges of orange.. or even bright reds to the greens.. it's just so picturesque! Walking around the golf course was just mesmerising, so green and perfectly landscaped ! You feel like you're in a jungle , with beautifully architected golf courses layed out. Wow, I have never seen such pretty courses !! A must do when in Kells.

The Jealousy Wall is both grotesque and impressive. I can only imagine the intense anger and hatred someone would have to intentionally put up a hideous wall to separate yourself from family. Our visit was on a day of true Irish weather, rainy, windy, and cold. Walk through the gardens and let both nature and man-made architecture fascinate you. We enjoyed our Irish breakfast at their cafe. Restrooms are clean and parking was readily available (we were the only crazy visitors that rainy day).

We were told that the house was open as we wanted to see it and on arrival, but only after tendering the tickets and going through into the place did we find the house was shut and the glasshouse was shut. There were no signs or indications that the house was shut - it's almost dishonest. Had we known it was shut we wouldn't have bothered. So like many other people that day we effectively paid to walk round a park and lake when we could just as easily have walked around the lake and a nearby picnic area for free. There is a lovely cafe and coffee bar in the grounds that merits at least 4 stars but there's equally good cafes around that you don't have to pay just to get in. They also have dog kennels to leave pooch as pooches aren't allowed in the gardens but pooches can accompany owners around the lake and a nearby picnic area outside for free. I'd better stop writing as I dislike being ripped off and the more I think of it I'd be inclined to drop this to 2 stars.

We built our confidence and then took on the more challenging tracks.Well this tour surpassed all expectations! It was amazing fun zipping around on the Segways.Every team member raved about the experience and it is one of the most memorable activities they had undertaken. I recommend strongly this activity for all corporate teams as it is a great team building event and I also strongly recommend it for a group of friends as you will certainly enjoy the experience! Situated on stunning grounds which I believe has a golf course and apartments. The church, house and hotel are within walking distance, and have that beautiful old feel with a modern twist. Everything was beautiful: The grounds, location, food and the old house which has a dancefloor in the basement. Bonus. Would definitely recommend it.
