He had a fantastic bedside manner that put people at ease, was very gentle, and I liked that he never once tried to upsell me on procedures or treatments I didn't need. So, I was sad when I heard he was going to sell the practice, because I figured I'd never find another dentist who I liked. But then Dr. Korn came into the picture! I find her style to be very similar to Dr. Weinman. (Which makes sense, because if I am not mistaken, I believe he was her mentor?) Dr. Korn is fantastic. She takes time to answer questions, she has a gentle touch, and I trust her with pointy/loud tools in my mouth. She's done a fair bit of work on my teeth, including repairing a chip in between my two front teeth. I can hardly remember precisely where the chip was now, because it looks so natural and has held up to my (probably overly rough) flossing. There's great staff in this office, from the front desk to the hygienists. Cheryl, one of the hygienists, is wonderful. Great bedside manner, and she's also gentle. Plus, she is compassionate, which is important if you have any shame about the state of your teeth. (i.e., Let's just say you went through a period of deep clinical depression after miscarriages, so you only brushed your teeth once per week for months ... she's not judgmental about cleaning your teeth after that neglect.) I cannot overstate how significant it is to have a nonjudgemental hygienist. Also, my husband has Lauren as his hygienist, and he absolutely loves the way she cleans his teeth. Bonus about this office: It is spotlessly clean and beautiful inside. Looks modern and upscale (but not pretentious), so that can help put you at ease. (You can know you're not going to be uncomfortable in some dingy old office with questionable stains on the carpet, dental chairs with weird odors, mouse droppings in the corner, and out-of-date dental equipment. I've been to a couple like that! LOL.)

First appointment was just an initial check-up and cleaning. The staff are all very friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I was a bit nervous about my next appointment though, where the doc would get rid of that decay and fill it over. Never had a cavity in my life, now I'm 43 and it's all coming apart!! I went in for the fillings and wow, let me tell you - #1, I didn't even feel pain from the lidocaine injections given to numb you all up for the actual procedure. Just a bit of pressure. #2, I felt absolutely nothing during the actual removal work. And no, half my face wasn't out of commission nor did I drool or speak very incoherently lol. I do not have insurance, so I was pleasantly surprised by their prices. 10/10 will return as long as I live in this area!! NOT RELATED TO THE PLACE OF BUSINESS, JUST AN OBSERVATION FOR PEOPLE WITH NERVOUS HABITS---- However, I will warn any people with nervous habits that involve chewing or biting on your lips: the total numbness is going to cause you blisters the next day. I noticed myself doing it soon after the appointment and thought "OKAY you're going to have to stop doing that..." but alas, by the next day I had a weird looking sore on my lip where I bite it, pretty subconsciously, until now. Luckily that healed quick. But that's my own damn fault.

Many dentists try to upsell you on procedures that aren't needed. All the employees are nothing but nice and treat you with respect. Jaclyn is an amazing dental hygienist and Dr. Moore makes you feel like family. They explain everything, so you know what's going on in your mouth. I needed deep cleanings and gum care when I first arrived; they put me on a plan where I came in four times a year for cleanings rather than just twice a year, to ensure that I received the best care possible. I had other services done, like removing/replacing mercury fillings and fixing old fillings that had cracked. I was always happy with the work done. I even received a call one night after-hours from Dr. Wood when he could tell I'd had a particularly rough time during a procedure, just to make sure I was feeling okay. I was always impressed with the technology in the office; it seemed like every time I went in I noticed something they'd added or something that I'd never seen before in previous dentists' offices. My hygienist, Amanda H, is also highly recommended. In addition to being extremely professional and competent, she would remember things about my life and ask me about them during my visits. She swore she never took notes, she just remembered! And this wasn't just because I was coming in four times a year so I was a more recognizable face; my husband only went in twice a year and she'd remember personal details about his life, too. My only "complaint" is that the patient chair in Dr. Wood's procedure room is MUCH more plush and comfortable than the normal chairs in the hygienists' cleaning rooms. Imagine the increased teeth-cleaning experience if those were located in every room!

They took X-rays and Dr. Embury went over every one of my challenging teeth and told me what to expect. One tooth has "gone through fillingville and is headed to crown town." He spent a lot of time with me and really got to know me. It was really just an evaluation so they did not do much to my teeth. But all the equipment seemed up to date, they played my favorite music and made me feel comfortable. This was the best dentist appointment I've ever had. The wait is typically short, and I'm always promptly seen once inside the individual patient room. If you need a distraction, there are TVs in the waiting room as well as in each patient room. They offer a wide variety of services; I've only been seen for cleanings, so I can't comment too much on those. Always appreciate the cute goody bag I get to take home. Also a nice feature they have is a text message sent out reminding of appointments. Just in case you want to book in advance, they won't let ya forget! Thanks for everything!

I went to this dentist for the first time last week and my whole experience was wonderful. I wanted…read moremy two year old to experience the dentist for the first time, but for that to happen, I had to bring my mom to watch her while I finished up my appointment. But as I also have a 6 week old baby and no one else to watch her, she had to come too... My appointment started out with my 2 year old sitting on my lap in the chair while Rita the hygienist raised up the chair and looked at both her teeth and mine, and given that she's going through her painfully shy phase, this was a miracle... Rita then lowered the chair and held out her hand to take my daughter to my mom in the waiting area, and my daughter happily went with her (again, miracle!) Rita then x-rayed my teeth and was very gentle, I wasn't uncomfortable at all (unlike previous dental X-rays). She then started my cleaning. Halfway through my cleaning, my youngest started howling and we could hear her all the way in the waiting room. Rita paused my cleaning, had my mom bring in the baby and gave me 10 minutes to nurse her right in the chair. Once the baby was happily asleep, Rita resumed my cleaning. I didn't actually get to see the dentist as he got called out on an emergency, but he looked at my x-rays later and called me to tell me everything looked just fine. My 2 year old had a great time in the waiting room, there were tons of toys for her to play with and the receptionist even gave her a prize for being so good. The whole experience was so positive, both for me and my kids and I will never be switching dentists ever again! My two year old is still talking about going to see the doctor that helped her teeth!

The used car dealer of dentistry…read more I have gone there for routine cleanings before I had insurance and they did optional procedures without asking me first so I left paying $270+ for what was supposed to be just a cleaning. They said I had 2 suspected cavities. That was 2 years ago. Still have no tooth pain but recently got insurance and forgot why I never went back. The receptionist acting as thought I had questionable insurance and later called back to let me know they did accept my insurance -as if I won the lottery- but there would still be a $25 deductible. I asked 5 people at work and NOT ONE said they pay a deductible for cleanings. Brighton also wanted $100 for any work I might need done and said it as if I should expect something to be wrong, even though I've never had a cavity and have no tooth pain.
