Both my mother and I have gone to the ER recently and have had great experiences. The nurses were attentive and kind, the care and knowledge feel direct and throughly explained. A bit surprised and sad to read the recent reviews when my families experiences have been so positive and comforting. My mom had an urgent surgery, was put at the top of the schedule, and monitored closely throughout the night. I went in with chest pain and was seen right away(obviously), they took the time to help calm and comfort me. I know everyone has experiences and they're right to share those, but please remember most of the time people only review when it's negative. It's common to have negative and even neglect medical experiences and care, but that was not my experience. read more

This is a review on ER experience today. My husband felt unwell. This hospital is so calm and does not add additional stress to their patients. It is quiet and serene. Nurses have bedside matter. Doctors are very informative. We are not left in the dark. I trust they will take good care of my husband. So far they are very attentive. I recommend coming in the morning or very early in morning. It is more stress free. If you have a smartphone, you can do registration on your smartphone or tablet. It helps keep patients from getting disturbed especially if they are unwell. I completed it for him so he can get focused on just getting care for. It is not fancy hospital but a great one for less stress. read more

I've been very sick for some time now and tonight I was feeling especially terrible. The nurse jabbed a needle in my arm about 6 times while yelling at me. Until I asked her to stop. Finally the same nurse whom I had just said I'm sorry I'm not trying to give you a hard didn't so much as respond to me. Instead she rammed into about every obstacle she while wheeling me back to a room. Then, finished it off with ramming me into the bed. I looked at her and told her she scared me and all she could do is shrug. She looked liked she was about to grab me to toss me into the hospital bed and I responded with "no" and she left. Then, they just left me there! No one even came in to speak with me. I finally looked at my dad and said let's leave. This isn't going to get any better. So I got up and my dad wheeled me out and we left. No one seemed to care. So now im home in bed feeling absolutely terrible. What a terrible place! I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place. Wow, just wow. Would leave NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD My girlfriend recently had kidney surgery at this hospital, and our experience was extremely disappointing and concerning. From the beginning, it felt like her needs and comfort were not being taken seriously. Less than a day after her procedure, staff began pushing for her discharge even though she clearly expressed that she was not ready and was still in significant pain. It was alarming to see such urgency to release her without properly addressing her condition or ensuring she felt stable enough to leave. Throughout her stay, there was also a lack of basic respect for her requests. She repeatedly asked staff to close the door when entering and leaving her room, but this was often ignored. It may seem like a small thing, but when you're in a vulnerable state, privacy and comfort matter a lot. The most troubling part was the lack of responsiveness to her pain. At one point, she called for help five times while in excruciating pain and received no assistance. When I went to the charge nurse station to ask for help, I was met with a dismissive and rude response. Instead of offering help or directing me constructively, the nurse simply told me it wasn't their section and that I needed to go elsewhere, with no sense of urgency or concern. Additionally, when my girlfriend asked for help with something as simple as a leg warmer, the nurse she spoke to acted as though the request was unreasonable and refused to assist her. This kind of behavior made her feel dismissed and uncomfortable during an already difficult time. Overall, the level of care, empathy, and professionalism we experienced fell far below what we expected. Patients recovering from surgery deserve to feel heard, supported, and cared for -- not ignored or brushed off. I hope the hospital takes feedback like this seriously and works to improve both patient care and staff responsiveness. read more

I am currently admitted at Allenmore Hospital for a sickle cell vaso-occlusive crisis, and this has been one of the most distressing and concerning care experiences I have had. Throughout my admission, my pain has not been adequately controlled, yet providers have repeatedly deferred to a rigid interpretation of my care plan rather than responding to my actual condition. I was explicitly told that a PCA (patient-controlled analgesia) could not be initiated because it was not written into my care plan--even though PCA has been a standard and effective part of my care in past hospitalizations when IV dosing alone was insufficient. When I expressed that my pain was worsening, I was told to "wait an hour" for the next dose despite increasing pain levels. In addition to unmanaged pain, I experienced severe opioid-induced itching. Despite clearly communicating that oral Benadryl does not work for me and that IV Benadryl has consistently been the only effective option in past admissions, I was denied IV Benadryl. Instead, I was given oral medication that did not relieve my symptoms, leaving me in significant discomfort. What is especially concerning is the language documented in my medical record. A provider note from Dr. John Vu stated that I "appear slightly high" in response to my request for IV Benadryl, and a urine drug screen was ordered. This type of subjective and stigmatizing language is not only inaccurate, but it directly impacts care decisions. Instead of my symptoms and history being taken seriously, assumptions were made that affected my treatment. There were also serious issues with procedural care. My apheresis port was accessed by vascular access staff despite me providing a detailed instruction card (including a reference link). The instructions were not followed, and the port was accessed as if it were a standard power port. This resulted in significant bleeding, pain, and ongoing soreness and irritation at the site. When I raised concerns, I was told the instructions were "hard to read," which is not an acceptable justification for deviating from proper protocol--especially for a specialized port. Additionally, I was initially told in the Emergency Department that no staff were available who could access my port, only to later be informed on the inpatient unit that trained staff were available. This inconsistency delayed care and raises concerns about communication and staff preparedness. Outside of the hospital, I also experienced issues with my medication management. My original oxycodone prescription was removed and replaced with a different dosage without clear communication, resulting in delays and an unexpected copay. This added unnecessary stress during an already difficult time. Overall, this experience reflects a pattern of: - Dismissal of patient-reported symptoms - Rigid adherence to care plans without reassessment - Use of stigmatizing and subjective language in documentation - Lack of adherence to proper procedural protocols - Poor communication regarding both inpatient and outpatient care As a patient with sickle cell disease, I should not have to fight to have my pain believed or my symptoms treated appropriately. This experience has significantly impacted my trust in the care I am receiving. You usually get seen quickly here... But the quality of care you get is highly questionable. I went here because I was having liver issues and couldn't keep food down. So they sent me home with four prescriptions and when I went to pick them up from my pharmacy they'd sent prescriptions for some other patient! Not sure how that mistake was made but it's the type of mistake that means I will never ever return there. Because by giving me that guy's prescriptions they broke HIPAA. read more

I was a patient with this hospital and the nurses treated me so bad once I got out of my surgery they were trying to send me home when I got a tremendous surgery done and my pain level was a 10. When they would come and check up on me and I would let them know my pain was a 10 they didn't do anything to stop the pain until the doctor came in the next day later that's when they treated me with high dose medicine. The nurses were super unprofessional. It was like going into preschool. I highly suggest the lead nurse that's the boss of all the nurses exam the nurses because the way they act is very not OK. read more

Unacceptable and Inhumane Treatment of a Patient in Crisis IRL I give this hospital a Negative -10 Stars I am writing this review to bring public attention to the deeply disturbing treatment of a patient in a state of drug-induced psychosis who sought help at this hospital. Rather than receiving compassionate care, the individual was taunted, antagonized, and mocked by hospital staff -- behavior that is not only unprofessional but dangerous and dehumanizing. Mental health and substance-related crises are medical emergencies, not moral failings. Patients in these conditions are vulnerable, frightened, and often unable to advocate for themselves. The hospital's Head Nurse On Duty and Security person response was not just lacking in empathy -- it actively escalated the patient's distress What I witnessed was an egregious failure in duty of care: Staff laughed at, taunted, or provoked a patient in obvious mental distress. There was no attempt to de-escalate or provide trauma-informed support. The behavior suggested bias, stigma, and possibly a lack of proper training in handling psychiatric emergencies. This is not just unprofessional -- it is cruel, and it raises serious ethical and legal concerns. Hospitals are meant to be safe havens for those in crisis, not places where suffering people are mocked or mistreated. I am posting in Public Forum so my complaint isn't buried by administrator. I strongly urge this hospital's leadership to: Provide mandatory training in mental health crisis intervention and trauma-informed care. Ensure accountability for any staff who participated in or allowed this behavior. People in mental health crises already face immense stigma and barriers to care. This is the worst hospital by far to go to here in Tacoma, not only has this hospital illegally with no permission stole my ovary during a procedure to remove an ectopic pregnancy, I have never been an organ donor in my life. I would never sell my eggs. After going to the hospital to retrieve my medical reports and information I was denied a medical records and customer service brought me to tears. Well I had the unfortunate need for a hospital (temp near 104) and their intake was quick. The care was thorough and after finding pneumonia on my chest X-rays. The rest of my stay went smoothly and my questions were answers as were my wife's when she called to check in on me. I didn't review the food because it's a hospital. I am a 72 year old woman who came to the ER with fever, chills and abdominal pain. From the moment I stepped into the Triange Unit until the time I was discharged, I knew I was in good hands. The excellent staff at Allenmore, including the doctors, nurses and technicians, made me feel well cared for. Ernesto is truly an angel on earth. He is so patient, kind and makes you feel like he really cares. My friend, Mel, is in the hospital and he is her nurse. We were chatting and I mentioned her birthday had been yesterday and she then said she was sad that nobody came to even see her. This past Friday I received some of the most exemplary care ever for my day surgery. The AllenMoore Hospital treated me with utmost respect, gentleness, kindness and and professionalism laced with just the right amount of humor! The nurses, doctors, CNA's and techs were wonderful and the hospital was pristine and sparkling! My surgeon, Dr Yearian and anesthesiologist, Dr Moreira were top notch! I had to wait on nothing and even when I came in two days prior for an EKG by LaWanda, I was taken care of with great expertise and care. I cannot give a high enough rating for my experience and I cannot understand the low reviews I have seen here. Sometimes I think people go out of their way to be unhappy! I walked in with second degree burns and waited over three hours before leaving to go to TG. I was in so much pain that they eventually gave me a pain pill before continuing to keep me waiting. I have an extensive hospital history in the south Sound area because as I approached retirement age I began to develop health issues in some pretty critical areas . How about the heart and lungs. Started out with open heart surgery and it was complete when I suffered near total respiratory failure and coded twice , luckily they were successful in bringing me back. My wife needed to see a doctor following a fall a few days go. Kudos to this ED for speedy and caring service. Granted the ER was not busy, but we were taken to an exam room within 5 min of taking a seat after a quick check in. No lengthy gathering of personal and insurance info. A nurse arrived shortly, followed by a physician after a reasonable wait. From there following another reasonable wait of 20 or so minutes, during which all the normal info gathering was done, my wife was off to X-ray and CT scans. It took a little over an hour to get results, again reasonably timed. Good news nothing broken. After a final talk with the physician we left with prescriptions called into a pharmacy and were out the door in approximately 3 hours. Compassionate care marked the whole experience. Taking needed info while we waited in the exam room was a wise use of time. I've heard horror stories of ER trips. None here. read more

It's a good hospital overall there's hardly a wait but the only issue I had was when they took my iv off they just ripped the tape off which therefore left a bruise and took some of my skin off I noticed this when I took the bandaid off the next day that they had put on me it started leaking liquid as well. read more

First time going to Allenmore, from reception desk to triage to being admitted EVERYBODY I encountered was so nice and caring. Amazing staff

The Hospital gets a 5 from a service point of view and a 5 from a medical point of view. Parking was good to but there was some construction occurring at the main entrance of no real consequence to our experience. In between Covid scares my wife had a chance to get her surgery in and it went well. There were some changes in the process that I noticed but I was allowed to spend a lot of time as a visitor and it was greatly appreciated by all. You see my wife is a bit spoiled and that is my fault, but I like it that way. So when I say the staff was very attentive, they must have been great! The pre-op staff was very high spirited and the post op staff were very caring and attentive. The OR staff did a great job and the healing process is going very well. Don't let the COVID scare keep you away from this hospital, they are working extra hard to work around it and you will see the same high standard in medical and patient care. Well, this is actually a really tough review. I hit my head 3 days ago, still have a large lump, am dizzy, vomited immediately after the injury, have neck pain, and shoulder pain. I originally scheduled an appointment with Urgent Care, but they called me and recommended an ER visit. I have had more than one concussion in my life, but this will be the last time I go to the hospital for concussion related symptoms. The reason this review is so difficult is because so many people there were wonderful! When I checked in, they were friendly and prompt. The triage nurses were fantastic! Like the best experience I've ever had in an ER. They quickly ordered a CT scan (the x-ray techs were awesome, also), did an EKG on the spot because my pulse was high, put an IV in my arm, and took all my blood and urine samples right there so I would be good to go when I was taken back to see the doctor. I waited about an hour and a half or so and was finally called back. It was busy and that was to be expected. However, once I was called back everything changed. I had a nurse or someone pop in for about 30 seconds (maybe she was the doctor?? She never introduced herself). She didn't talk to me about what happened, she didn't look at me or touch me, and ran off. I had another person come in and tell me all of my blood work and x-rays looked good and I would be discharged soon. I was confused. I had already been taking a rotation of ibuprofen and acetaminophen, as well as zofran, with no relief. I even tried imitrex the day before. No help. In that 30 second exchange with the nurse/Dr./whomever, I told her I was in a lot of pain, told her what I had been taking, and she asked me to rate my pain level and told me they would give me something to help. More than an hour or so later, the man who had originally walked me back tried to come in and take the IV out. This was in no way his fault. He thought I was ready to go. I explained to him that the initial person was going to try to give me something else other than what I had been taking. He left. Another nursing assistant of some sort came back an hour or so later and tried to hand me discharge papers. I explained to her that I had only spoken to the first lady one time VERY briefly, I hadn't seen a doctor that I knew of, and still hadn't gotten any pain relief. She took off for another few minutes. She came back with edited discharge papers, gave me a cocktail of anti-inflammatories, etc. and sent me on my way. I never saw the nurse again and I never saw a doctor to my knowledge! I wandered out in worse condition than when I arrived. No one talked to me about my concussion, I never even got to talk about my neck and shoulder pain, and my temperature wasn't even taken. Nobody ever touched my head, and I'm still sitting here confused about how the first part went so well and then I was completely ignored. Hoping somebody will reach out to me, as just writing this review is making my head hurt. They did kindly hand me a pile of papers to read over-because that's what one wants to do post concussion- and whoever Amy Wilvert, PA-C is, needs to learn how to introduce herself and possibly have a conversation about how to be a proper doctor. read more

I have to say, overall a strong 9 or a lil weaker 8. There was only 1 brief incident that I think needs to be noted. If you disagree, pls be respectful and provide a rational answer. In this unit, there is clearly a pecking order for the employee's. Normal but overly obvious here. I had two good techs getting ready to set my brace. I commented that I was not accoustomed to be referred too as if I was not there. One tech, twicked and the other, the apprentice, flashed a look to stop the forthcoming comment to no avail. "I am here to take care of you, so, yes, I will talk over you to my tech", or something close to this comment. Not here for the He said, She said bit. But, I thought he is frustrated with something, clearly not about Me as proposed. Rude, unnecessary. And the only reason you would not get a 6+ on a scale of 5. A patient should never be burdened by employees frustrations or that an apprentice cant really say and keep a job? read more

I live next to the Auburn Multicare but drive to Allenmore because I always receive great care here. Amazing nurses and doctors! Was seen about last month and even though I was in pain and body feeling like it was working at 50% they took great care of me, stayed professional while making me feel comfortable the entire time. Even when my numbers on blood work lowered they stayed attentive, some hospitals will give you the boot because majority doctors go off numbers. Reason I don't just drive 5 min to the nearest hospital here in Auburn. Overall great hospital didn't wait too long for a bed even though they were slightly busy! read more

I wish I could write a review about the medical care provided by this hospital. I've been trying to get an appointment for months, but they have very few physicians who take new patients. When I did get an appointment, it was several months away. That is expected with most doctors unless there is an acute problem. Unfortunately, the hospital canceled that appointment. They set me up with another appointment a month later with a different doctor. They canceled my Monday appointment Thursday afternoon, saying the doctor would be out of the office. read more

I brought in a very difficult patient. The nurse Brett was the most unprofessional nurse I have ever encountered. He needs to be trained in bedside manner and respect for patients. Terrible Emergency Room Experience Came in due to my girlfriend having difficulty breathing and severe nausea and dizziness and they pretty much didnt care. They told me to sit in a chair directly touching another chair that someone was sitting back in, ignoring proper Covid-19 protocol. After a few hours of the normal waiting, There was another lady here screaming in pain saying that she wants to leave the hospital for 20 or so minutes before a nurse went to help her. While this was going on, my girlfriend tried to leave but they told her she was next to go to the back. They then sent a different patient to the back, the screaming patient still screaming talking to a nurse. Don't use the emergency room here if you care about your wellbeing. read more

Came in with an ovarian cyst feeling like I was going to die- I had no idea what it was at the time- and the receptionist barely even looked up from her book, and asked me if I tasted metal. What? No. She told me to sit down and I waited. For. three. Hours. There were no accidents, emergencies, and there were maybe two other people in the waiting area. I finally got a room, and it took them another 9 hours to get me looked at and tell me what the hell was killing me from the inside out. At hour 15, I took out my own IV and checked myself out. This used to be my favorite hospital to go to if I had problems. I experienced lung distress at 16 and 3 doctors came to examine me in the lobby and rushed me back. The last few years have been rough. I keep experiencing problems with the care and the staff here now, I complain to the appropriate department, leave a message - nothing. I've left a few, including one where the doctor had given me so much muscle relaxants I couldn't keep consciousness for more than 1-2 minutes. As the doctor was trying to talk to me, that's one of the only things I said; "sir, I can't stay conscious," but he kept talking. After I had already been discharged, he beckons me back and tells me I need to learn to live with being in constant pain (I nearly died in a car accident, they helped with the initial accident) "BECAUSE" he "threw his back out a year ago and still has problems." Nearly dying in a car crash and throwing your back are two very different things and I feel is a poor comparison. After pumping me full of drugs (I could hear them ARGUING in the back about handing over the second Valium "but no, look, the doctor said two," is just insulting. TG took care of me on Friday and actually listened to the complaints I've been giving allenmore for almost 2 damn years. read more

This review is based on Wellfound Behavioral Health. Please, if you or someone you love is in mental crisis, stay away from Wellfound and Multicare. Read reviews and really weigh if it's worth it to see them. There are organizations that will help. Try 211 or in severe cases try calling 911. I do a lot of outreach in my community and what I had to endure this past week was unconscionable. It's telling when staff is vocalizing complaints. Communication is lacking. It was 5 days until Wellfound gave my loved one her intake packet of what to expect, rules, etc. Multicare is definitely the issue. The staff simply do not care and before I saw ALL are incompetent, I will say were two nurses that tired their best to help the situation. At the end of the day it takes more than two people to make changes. Read reviews on Yelp, read them on Google, with all of the complaints and concerns it seems that no one is listening. I think Multicare believes they are too big to be effected. This time I will not let it go. They will be accountable this time. Every conversation was voice recorded. Names were recorded. They also did not try to contact my doctor. They were then supposed to contact me to provide a time for my surgery 4 days before the date. They did not, and they did not attempt to call my doctor this time either. I began trying to reach them after hours. I was able to speak with a nurse in the surgical department who took my contact information and stated that if I had not heard from the Pre-Admit Clinic before noon the next morning, I should call again. THEY DID NOT CALL. Like most people, we have voicemail, caller ID, and missed call notifications on every telephone line. There are no records on any of them of Allenmore attempting to contact us. I left a message with Patient Advocacy, and called the ER. A nurse there was able to get into my records and give the listed time for my surgery, but no guarantees that it was correct. Ms Jenna Torio, a Patient & Family Relations "Quality Management" Specialist requested that I call her - but she apparently lets all calls go to voicemail. Allenmore's surgical team did a good job, but its administrative staff and Patient Advocates completely failed on patient communication and support. Went in for a pre employment urine test. They had me wait for over an hour to be seen. They did not update me, I had to ask about the wait time. The two women behind the desk would chat and look at their phones. The service was horrible and the wait time was unacceptable. This is for Building C first floor Suite 110. I would never recommend anyone going to this facility. read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!! I walked in for an emergency visit last week. I was taken to the back everything seemed to be going fine, but man the workers do not seem to care about the privacy of their patients. One patient (I'm obviously not going to say his name on here) was being wild and the nurses kept gossiping about him so loud that everyone could hear. They were saying his name out loud, his room numbers (because they moved him from room 10 to room 2, I guess to get him more away from the ER rooms) and saying how he was making the hospital smell like shit. They kept saying his name and how he smells like shit(they actually used the word shit). Then I heard them laughing at another patients reason to why she wanted to leave. They then proceeded to call her a liar but not to her directly. Lastly, there was some things whispered about me, that I heard from some nurses but I can't say it here because that would probably give me away and they would know who is writing this review. Save yourself a trip and choose another hospital. read more
