Bastian Tire & Auto Centers

I wanted to like Bastian, I really did. But my experience was far less than satisfactory, though…read moreI'm not sure if it was all their fault. A few months ago, my car started showing symptoms of impending alternator failure. Based on positive Internet reviews, I took it to Bastian. They said they wouldn't be able to look at it until the end of the week but suggested I leave the car with them rather than chance driving it. At week's end, they diagnosed the alternator problem and quoted $150-250 to rebuild or replace it the following week. I agreed. Things went downhill from there. They called to say they were able to rebuild the alternator but, in putting back in the car, other parts had broken requiring further work. They worded this carefully, avoiding responsibility and claiming it was due to the car's age. I felt I had no choice but to agree to this additional work. Over a week after I initially brought the car to them, I paid almost $800 to get my car back. It ran very rough and sounded like they'd ripped the muffler off, unacceptably loud. I was able to get this fixed at another local mechanic who found holes in the exhaust piping and patched them. So, I suffered a very long wait for my car, their claims of additional parts spontaneously disintegrating when they reassembled my car, a final price far exceeding the original quote, and return of my car in an unacceptable driving condition. I won't return to Bastian.

I brought my car in to Bastian because I was told by one parts store that I needed shocks and…read morestruts. I wasn't sure if I needed them or not, but after the mechanics looked at my car here, they couldn't find anything wrong! I appreciate the honesty from this business in not charging me for work that I didn't need to have done when I probably wouldn't have known any better either way. The staff here is incredibly friendly, helpful and fast. I would come back!

If I could give zero stars I would. Cartopia Detailing / 365 Auto on W Fourth St in williamsport…read morePA, is easily the most dangerous, incompetent, and unprofessional shop I have ever dealt with in my life. This isn't just bad service. This is straight up mechanical negligence and zero regard for customer safety. The "mechanic" here clearly has no idea what he's doing. Basic installations that any competent tech should handle without issue were completely butchered. He destroyed parts of my vehicle by installing the rear sway bar links incorrectly and literally hammering on the surface of my rotors instead of using the proper tools like someone who actually knows what they're doing. I've now had two separate mechanics look at the car and both confirmed the same thing. The vehicle was dangerously unsafe to drive after leaving this shop. Instead of taking responsibility like a professional, he blames the aftermarket parts that he personally approved or starts attacking customers for "Googling things" when called out. The environment at this place is just as bad as the work they do. * Substance use. The main mechanic has been seen getting high while working on vehicles. Think about that for a second. The person responsible for the safety of your car is impaired while doing the work. * Drama and vandalism. The shop is surrounded by constant drama and chaos. There have even been situations where people's cars were getting slashed because of the personal problems the staff drags into the business. If you care about your vehicle or your safety do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place. There are plenty of honest shops out there. This is not one of them.

Save your money and go literally anywhere else. This place is a total rip-off. Not only are the…read moreprices astronomical, but the quality of work is amateur at best. The head mechanic clearly has no idea what he's doing--it's honestly shocking he's in a leadership position. I left feeling scammed and my car looks worse for wear. I will never be back.

Instead of admitting they screwed up the timing in my car, they blame me for a "vacuum leak".My car bucks and shakes at idle, intermittent check engine light etc... And the fault codes always point back too the cam timing being off, which is what the car went in for initially per factory recall. The vehicle ran 100% when dropped off, now I have a hunk of junk that I wouldn't feel comfortable selling to any one with a good conscience. So now I'am forced to go the legal route, this is ridiculous in 2026. You would think a business would try to make it right, instead of pulling me in the office like a middle schooler and yell at me for calling them clowns. But never remedy the issues. Reminds me of greasy car sales of old

When I…read moreended up needing a car last minute they sold me one I was not looking for with many defects I found out about after the fact. The odometer is completely digital and will periodically not display when in use. This is one of the many issues the car has and if you believe it, they could care less once you sign that dotted line. To top it off the finance manager is a complete tool with no redeeming aspects to them. Treating every no I offered as a chance to sell me on something else I didn't need and ended up not helping me in the end. (Shocker right?) If you are looking for a bmw don't go here. Service is awful, selection is worse, and they'll do whatever they can to scam you with a smile on their face. There is a location not far from them that actually gets back to you and has a better selection. Hopefully they close soon because no one is ever on the lot looking at the 5 cars they have for sale and they are way over staffed.

Murray Motors Collision was excellent both in terms of quality of repair and quality of customer…read moreservice. When I struck a deer and destroyed the front end on my 2014 Mazda3 S, I thought it would never be the same again. My car was in rough shape, requiring both cosmetic and mechnical part repair. I'd heard so many horror stories; paint doesn't quite match, panels don't line up, squeaks and groan, all that stuff you don't want to experience with your car that hasn't even hit 15,000 miles yet. Murray quoted the repairs to my insurance and began to work. As they dug deeper into my vehicle, they found far more items that would need to be replaced to ensure that my car was more than just bandaged. It took a little bit of time to work it out with insurance, but Murray made sure that my car was completed properly. I received a breakdown of every part that was damaged and how it was replaced: repair or replace with new. To my surprise, every single piece was replaced with a factory new part. Murray certainly didn't skimp and made sure my insurance company treated me well. I received updates (at my request) all along the way. I am now 18,000 miles into driving my repaired car. There are zero noises, groans, or creaks to report! I ran into a tiny issue with the clear coat on the bumper, but that was resolved with one quick phone call. Murray handled it within 24 hours. I also requested a paint quote to have aftermarket work done on my vehicle. They were unable to accept the job, but offered me the contact information for their top painter to give him an opportunity to do the work on his own. I appreciate a company that thinks about their employees, they easily could have just said no and sent me on my way. I'd highly recommend Murray Motors Collision center to anyone seeking a quality bodyshop that will get the job done right and won't run you around.
