There is a world class spa (largest in Europe in a hotel). There is a nice and generous self-serve happy hour between 5-6pm with free wines and German lager. The rooms were clean and well equipped except the Chromecast function on the TVs didn't work for us limiting us to just a small handful of English-speaking channels (mostly news stations like CNN). Not a big deal since we weren't traveling to watch TV, but it would have been nice to be able to unwind to a movie on Netflix instead of having to face the real world via listening to the news. We were able to sleep well in the beds and the curtains blocked most of the light nicely so we didn't wake up at 5am every morning. There was a decent restaurant but avoid the pricier "dry aged" steaks if you are used to fine American steakhouses. The dry aged steak lacked flavor and could be more tender but was cooked to the right temp. There's a nice coffee shop attached with friendly service, good coffee, and even alcoholic beverages to enjoy in the afternoon or evenings. There's a rooftop bar on the top floor although we struggled a bit figuring out how to get to it. We tried to go to the top from the 5th floor, but it doesn't work that way. You need to go to the first floor then the far-right elevator only can take you up to where the rooftop bar is. This bar is nice with a great view, but a bit pricey so we only sprung for two rounds. We spent most of our time outside of our room in the central hotel bar near the lobby. The bar manager and staff were super friendly and took great care of us during our stay. We'd definitely be back - but wish the hotel was a little closer to the downtown area of Munich.

It had a great assortment of breakfast items for the buffet. The elevators are on the small side as expected in most European hotels. I consider this hotel to be a budget hotel. It is away from the city center. The hotel is in close proximity to office buildings and some residential condominiums/apartments. It is not at all accessible to any attractions. There no convenience stores close by. The best way to get to Munich's city center is to take the subway which is about a half mile walk. The hotel in general is clean and quiet. The airconditioning system was not making our room cool enough at night requiring the window to be cracked open. I do not recommend this hotel if you are looking to go to city center and see the attractions.

But the hotel is definitely utilitarian. Although the maid never came to clean out our rooms in all the 3 nights we spent there, the facilities are very minimal yet adequate. I would see it a bit overpriced for the budget hotel image they want to give, or at least that was my impression, because if they were going for Zen, they failed quite miserably. Marienplatz is about a 15 min ride from that station. The hotel staff weren't particularly helpful or friendly, but the place was fairly clean and the restaurant is decent (which is the only reason I didn't give it one star).

Two twins pushed together = a full bed. Nothing out of the ordinary for the EU. I wish I had taken a picture of the TV because it was teeeeeny.
